Dear Friend- you have nothing to fear. Lord Jehovah is not a God who strikes us when we fall short. The LORD loves us beyond our comprehension. Love constrains Him to be patient with us- and He saves us by grace. The Lord honors our intentions, even if we fall short of them.

GOD IS HUMBLE. The more time you spend in His presence, the more humble you shall become. By practicing humility before God, the humbler you will be with His living image in your neighbor... If you go to war with your own strength, you will certainly fail in your delusion. Christians war against the flesh by submitting to God and serving Him. Humility the FRUIT of the Spirit in a person's life who is totally dedicated to the Master. Trees do not exert effort in giving forth fruit... the Fruit is produced as the by-product of the process of maturing. Give your life totally to Christ our God, and soon enough you will become effortlessly humble.

Pastor JC May I ask what you mean by the phrase "God is humble?" I find agreement with you that humility is a fruit of our companionship and submission to God, that it is an effort produced by the Spirit at work in us, not at all with our own willpower (I also took from Piper's exhortation the same message--he did say after all that you PRAY for the miracle of humility from God, not to quash it yourself... but that's beside my inquiry.).
I am curious what you mean by "God is humble." Has He reason to be? He isn't proud the way man is proud, but because he is the I AM, there wouldn't seem to be anything for Him to be humble towards, not even Himself through the Trinity. And when we become humble from oneness with Him, I understand that to be because of the nature of creation aligning with their Creator, and not from absorbing this quality of humility. We "absorb" His love and gentleness, but know humility from knowing true Greatness, I would think. I am genuinely just curious to read your thoughts.
On another note: I'm sorry to see such animosity among Christians in this thread (on a vid about humility, of all things), when there's so much room for dialogue instead. Mercy, brothers and sisters!

Pastor JC ... Not to answer my own question, but after giving it some more thought, I do realize that Christ exemplified perfect Humility in His life, so I see that now. Still, I wonder if to say "God is humble" needs an asterisk.

Loving, faithful and moral --- What gratitude is all about.
    1. Only one way to love God, be grateful instead of ingrate.
    2. We are faithful, as a debt of gratitude is too great to repay.
    3. We are moral, because God created all that is just and moral.
GRATITUDE -- DESTROYED 334 TIMES IN BIBLE
"Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also
have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation"
    GRATITUDE --- RESTORED
“This is how it should be communicated to God by you,
‘Father of our being who is over the heavenly realms,
pure good free of harm is what we call you.
May it come the spiritual realm of yours, may it be the will of you,
as it is in heaven may it be on earth.
The bread of ours, the needs of life, have all been given to us this day.
And by you forgiven we are the blood guilt due and owed by us,
as also we forgive those deep in debt to us.
And not caught are we by a pretense of good hiding evil,
but safe and secure we are from the slavery of such evil.’

The humility that Jesus displayed and treated humanity with is astonishing, and I agree that one of the hallmarks of Christian existence is humility. However, I don’t believe that God expects us to beg Him for the miracle of humility as the title of this video suggests. The reason is that the fullness of Jesus has been given to us when we were spiritually reborn. Also, I don’t find one example of anyone begging God for anything in the New Testament. God is much too generous than to have to be begged for spiritual provision. So rather than begging God for the miracle of humility, our journey of growing in humility is learning to walk in the fullness of what is already ours in Christ, coming to understand what our part is and what His part is. This way we learn to enter into a deep relationship with God, getting to know God intimately as we partner with Him in our growth.

      @Water_Rat Před měsícem

Please don’t beat yourself up over trying to be better and not hitting the mark. It’s not what God wants for you, and He won’t respond to that for your own good. What I mean is, if He responded positively to you doing these things, it would only encourage you to keep beating yourself up and trying to be better, and you would continue in that miserable way of living. Instead, God wants you to relax and let go of your own self effort and read and meditate on the Bible, asking Him with eager expectancy of His goodness to make His word real to you. As revelation begins to flow into your spirit, you will naturally be drawn closer to God through His love and you will naturally find yourself living in an increasing measure of freedom. Doesn’t that sound much better than begging God to bring you closer to Him and beating yourself up for your failed attempts?😊

Dear God, I have this real bad habit of trying to be the best kind of person I can be. I try to be a mentor to new people at work. When placed in a position of leadership I gave orders that I knew were best for the group. Yes, Lord, I dared stick my neck out. Yes, Lotd, I trusted you when you said I could do all things in Christ
But YOU said all that is just puffed up pride. YOU said all that was no good, that all you wanted was for me to crawl on my hands and knees and meditate how I am just a worm. Maybe that will make me shine like the sun in Heaven but I sure don't see how I can accomplish much in this life with this kind of attitude.

God hates pride? I rather think that men project various emotions onto God, including hate. In my opinion,
God is more likely to pity pride, and wants us to shed it, as a snake sheds an outgrown skin.
Or maybe God, the great I Am, has no truck with our emotions at all. But who am I, who are you, who are any of us, to define God, or interpret His reality? Is that our business?
Should we not rather humble ourselves before Him, and ask for His wisdom, help, and guidance?
Why is it we that attribute flawed human emotions, to God? Do we want Him to be like us,
as if that drew us closer to him? That is not how it works.

@@adamfaulkner-stanheight6628 when a christian says they deserve to burn in hell, they are saying it from a certain perspective. Which is that we were all hell bound, with no way out till Jesus came and offered us the gift of the grace as a result of the cross.
When you look at Jesus and you look at yourself, you begin to realise how depraved you really are. How small, how wretched, how undeserving etc... I could use all the horrible words but this description is in comparison to a perfect God. He cant be tempted. There is nothing in this side of eternity that can remotely impress him. All our fancy cloths, cars , mansions are nothing but filth.
Yes ! so when you look at yourself through this lense,.we all pale in comparison to him.you catch my drift.
However to abase yourself is to be meek. Meekness is a form of intentional humility. Knowing when to be strong and when to be weak. It's a dance between perseverance, endurance and resilience.
It's like having a horrible boss and being broke. You know you have to stay.
So the posture you take inorder to work with such a person is what am talking. You create an exit strategy and you give your best every day, knowing that it will be over soon.
      Its plain wisdom.
Wisdom is better than silver of gold. The bible says blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. There isnt any door you cant enter when you have this virtue.
However you should also be able to discern low self esteem from humility. Because sometimes it's just that ,..low self esteem. If someone is speaking of themselves lowly from such a place, rebuke them.
To love yourself is to see yourself the way God does!

That's not accurate at all, and Scripture tells us so:
2 Cor. 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through G-d for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing down false arguments 5 and *every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of G-d.* We are taking *every thought captive* to the obedience of Messiah- 6 *ready to punish all disobedience,* whenever your obedience is complete.
1 Peter 211 Loved ones, I urge you as strangers and sojourners to keep away from the fleshly cravings that war against the soul.
Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Ruach, and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh *sets its desire against the Ruach,* but *the Ruach sets its desire against the flesh* - for *these are in opposition to one another,* so that you cannot do what you want. ... 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are clear: sexual immorality, impurity, indecency, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hostility, strife, jealousy, rage, selfish ambition, dissension, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, just as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.
Clearly, we are at war against the desires of our flesh, from which arrogance springs.

Wow... This philosophy is based on the fear of God's hatred and rejection. And ultimately its philosophical hogwash. Instead, John should've explained that for those who find Heavenly qualities to be a burden, are simply not conscious of the pleasures that are at the right side of God the Father. (Ps. 16) We become acquainted with these pleasures only through serious devotion to God. As we grow in Christian maturity, we become aware that our true selves are existentially WITH Christ. (Eph. 2:6; Col. 3:5) In our humble search of the Lord we inevitably learn humility...We become encouraged to serve Him in all humility because in our service to Him, we feel pleasure. Because of this, when we encounter another human being we act humbly with the "image of God" before me. And THAT is how we learn to become humble.

Thank you for clearly communicating through your words the essence of the god you worship in ignorance. My "opinion" is based solely on the teachings of the Apostolic Fathers- the direct disciples of the Apostles. Your theology and John Piper's is Anselmian- and 11th Century interpretive lens that focuses on the falsity that God is so angry with YOU, that He HAD TO kill someone perfect and blameless in order to Forgive you and bring you back home. This is the theology that you believe in- and so beautifully communicated when trying to convey a pithy reply... The fact is that you attempt to serve Lord Christ through a False Gospel that is not Apostolic in any way, shape or form. Of course, The Angry God sounds "orthodox" to you because that is what you are conditioned to believe... But your interpretive lens is non-Apostolic. Read the Apostolic Fathers- and go ask John Piper what he thinks about their teachings. You will see that like you, his personal interpretation trumps whatever it is that was passed down through Apostolic succession. You are anathamatized by the Apostle while thinking that somehow you believe what it is that Lord Jesus passed down.
