    Good morning Kpaceguy. It's "damping", not "dampening".
    Damping is an influence within or upon an oscillatory system that has the effect of reducing or preventing its oscillation. In physical systems, damping is produced by processes that dissipate the energy stored in the oscillation.
    Dampening is getting something wet.
    🤗✊🏾
    The Rythmik has quite a few controls! I'm glad you got it properly dialed in.

    Lol - I just found an issue with my settings on my Rythmik E15s and I recommend you check yours again as well - check the switch normal and dual - I also had my set to normal but if you are using LFE you will get better higher frequency response in dual - normal is for stereo so unless you are using a splitter for RCA it will reduce signal power - Normal also invoked the crossover and was rolling off highs on my subs at 80-120hz but when set to dual it is flat to 250hz - I let Anthem and ARC handle EQ work - I also recommend using quick measure in ARC G to confirm and compare - may want to check out the new ARC beta if you haven’t already - it is a big upgrade - auto phase made a huge difference for me

    • @kyleo2113
      @kyleo2113 Před 2 lety +1

      @@Kpaceguy it worked better in dual for me - it will remove the peq but that’s why I have the Anthem and I am all about removing things in the signal path and it should increase higher freq response - I recommend doing test runs in ARC quick measure with ARC off - one with how you have it now and one with it set to dual and see which you prefer

  • @mcbowler
    @mcbowler Před 7 měsíci

    Low dampening allows the driver more movement for louder volume. High dampening uses more force to bring the speaker into ideal placement for a tighter more controlled sound… it’s actually easier to damage the components with high dampening at high volume. To protect the speaker, use rumble filter and limiter.
    Dampening is the reason to get a rythmik, but it’s adjustable if you want to go loud vs accurate.

    I wanna ask, is the G25 worth the extra grand over the G22? I've read that people have said the dual opposed config minimizes the tactile output and that the G22 provides almost no tactility. Does the G25 lose out on the room tactility as well?

    • @Kpaceguy
      @Kpaceguy  Před 2 lety +2

      I'd say yes. The 15in subs get you a lot more cone area equal to a 21in subwoofer. More power is always nice. A little bigger so you dig deeper and louder. I'll link you to a demo I did with it recently. You definitely get tactile bass with this in all but the biggest rooms. Sealed subs in general lose out on tactile bass but this one impressively fools you.

    • @deankim6687
      @deankim6687 Před 2 lety

      I had the same question. Why would a bigger woofer and box create tactile base? Isn’t the dual opposing design the reason it’s not tactile?

    • @deankim6687
      @deankim6687 Před rokem +1

      I ended up getting dual E15HP2s, which is essentially the same as oneG25HP, per Rythmik. I figure I’d get more tactile response, more even bass response, and they are easier for me to place over a single larger sub. At some point I would like to get a couple more for all 4 corners for more even bass.
