Have fun y'all!
Every Italian dad including my dad is very happy you posted this. Thank you. Now I can play with the older cigar folks.

I come from a heavily Italian area. I'd seen the game played before, but, never really understood it. Thanks for making it easy to understand.
Thank you so much for this! This game is a must-have for us Italian-Americans 🇮🇹🇺🇸
I love this game
I played this with my Papa when I was young, it’s a fun game
thats why your dad died of cancer
Easy to understand! I just bought a nice bocce ball set at the Goodwill & can’t wait to play! Thank you!
We played this a lot with our kids while they grew up. Quite fun.
HOWEVER, we had to put our little Corgi dog into the house or on a leash because he would run out and grab the Jack. LOL
(He loved Bocce Ball)
ALSO it is best to double check your yard to make sure your dog has not left you a 'gift' before playing the game....haha
lol
This was simple to understand. I needed to know before my work team doing this next week.
Thanks for explaining the rules. 👌
You don't have to alternate the shots. You have to see who gets the boccia closer to the boccino after the second shot. If the second player is more distant, he/she must continue playing. When they get their closest boccia to the boccino it will be the first player's turn again.
That’s interesting. I grew up in a town founded by Italian Protestants (Waldensians). I never heard the little ball called a palino. It has always been known as the bouccini to me. If I recall, they came from the alpine region of Italy. I wonder if there are other regional variations in the names.
noone cares
@@youngm4063 apparently you do.
Thanks that really claers things up. This sounds like a very fun game..
This is a fun game and very strategic. Lots of fun.
Thanks bro
This sounds like a very fun game.
Well worth the price!
This is a fun game
Thanks that really claers things up
Love it! Can you do one on how to play Horseshoe?
Great game.
In short, this sounds like curling without the ice or the brooms. With thick grass, I imagine it could be just as difficult though.
Literally just was saying that to my wife's family. Playing it tomorrow!
Thanku for this informative video 👍🏻
Ehhh gonna pretend I didn't hear the underhand throws only rule. That seems way less fun and strategic. Also we play a rule where once the jack is thrown there is no going to inspect it or look again. Gotta keep your eyes on where you think it went. Obviously your yard is impeccable so this isn't an issue! :)
Thank you for teaching me I am in a bocce ball SEMIFINAL GAME THURSDAY
Maybe a dumb question, but about how far away should the jack be first thrown?
Officially a court is 13 ft by 91 but the distance played is about 60 feet
Thank you
Great video. Please include the backyard rule for how far the jack can be thrown to start (we play 15yards/30ft ) and who throws first (person who scored throws next as they puts them on defense to keep the game competitive)
I assume that house rules come into play
15yards/30ft. lol. good thing you only have to add one point at a time.
Thanks it help
Gino approves of this example 😂
We play this so differently LOL. Basically it’s a free for all. The jack is thrown and you throw your coloured balls to get your balls close to the jack. However, the ball that gets furthest away is ELIMINATED. The game keeps on going until there is a winner. Once someone loses all their balls they’re eliminated.
For for example, let’s pretend we have 4 players A, B, C, and D. Each players starts with 2 balls (sometimes we do everyone starts with 4 balls) but for this sake let’s say everyone started with 2 balls
Let’s say that one of D’s balls was the furthest away, that ball would be eliminated. That would mean the next around; A, B, and C still have 2 balls as for D only has one. The game keeps on going until one person/ball reminds obv (as I said before)
The player who gets their ball closer to the jack each round gets to throw the Jack ball the next round!
This is the best way to play it imo. There is a lot at steak!
awesome
Next we need cornhole
This game is the next big thing, my first time about hearing about it. Lol
Played bocce ball w/my buddy who passed. I miss the game.
I am watching this because I have physical education practical tomorrow . I'm from India ❤️

So it's pétanque?
How to play lawn bowling
Can someone explain why there are four different colored balls and not just two? Are there four teams?
Wwwaaait that's pétanque !?
Can you do a video on pass the pigs
Is this game similar to petanque?
Try it
if there can only be 2 teams, why are there 4 colors? i see some sets only come in 2 colors (4 each) but some sets come in 4 colors (2each) whats the point of that?
I'm Here After Dhoni Play Boccee
Great channel! But something that would really help make these videos so much more interesting is a brief section at the beginning about the history of the game, where it originated, who invented, how it was played, etc. like it would be interesting to know how jacks was popular, in what era etc.
Interested in doing a video review of Rollors...we'll send you a set to for free.
Comes in handy if you were hypnotized and trying to escape from a brain transplant.
never heard it called a jack? It's the pallino
Cannot see any difference from the usual old bowling played on the Green.... could make it more interesting if the " BALLS " were either Rugby shaped or even square ... Plain old round ones , Hmmm ? Anyway congrats. for getting it on the market, and presum. patented ... Well Done.
dumb
Seems fun ig
Interresting in my family we usualy call it pentanque, though from a quick search it seems that it is a series of games, but the only difference i could find was the material that the balls are made out of. Does anyone know the difference between Bocce ball, Petanque, Boules and Boccia, or is it just different names for the same game?
Pétanque is the French name. There are minor rules differences.
@@oklahomahank2378 Ah thank you that explains a lot.
One of the rule differences (observed in professional play, idk about casual as I've not been to France nor spoken about the game to any Frenchmen) is that in Petanque, they play on loose gravel (which means it's more like the lawn game in that they favor lobs rather than rolls) and they have to stay inside a shooting area with both feet planted on the ground, delineated by some kind of circle or hoop.
Besides that, idrk.
@@RickJaeger I see, thanks! I haven't played in years but i think if there isn't a designated court for the game (i remember there being quite a few around back then) we just drew a line, used some rope or the case to mark where we needed to stand when shooting.
So it's basically the same game as Petanque
Nice grass
it's not a "jack", Jack. It's a "Pallino". Don't make me call Pauly Marbles to straighten you out. ;) Thanks for the video.
❤❤❤❤
I'm Italian...bocce is supposted to be played on a flat surface...cut your grass...
Other than that...good explanation
How would it work on sand?
Nah it's way more fun on different terrain

👍🏻
Lawn bowling 3:13

thank you
My set only has 2 different colors 🤷♂️
Sounds like a substitute for horseshoes.
that
Bowl not throw
Game is played on solid pavement, not on grass
Game can be played anywhere you damn well please. If you're playing pro, then you'll be on the court. Otherwise, it doesn't matter as long as it's relatively flat, open, and clear of debris.

I'd rather pitch pennies.
Geezuz, this is lame !! I'll stick to lawn darts :)
Have you tried Croquet? It is a really fun yard game.
Most annoying commentary ever
Meh. I prefer horseshoes
my dad used my account
I was about to buy a set from academy. That god I found this video first. Saved myself $50. This looks boring AF!
Wtf, why were you about to buy a bocce set without knowing anything about bocce.
Try pétanque way better game than this kids version
I love this game
Thank you
