There is a major violation of the rules in this game-- every thrower must hold their wine, beer or drink of choice in the non-throwing hand when delivering the bocce. I thought everyone knew this. Or is this simply our local rule. LOL
Of course you have to measure even if one team is out of balls to show which ball is closer. When all balls have been thrown, the teams shall proceed to measure the distance of the bocce balls from the pallino.
