  • With my last purchase an old JP Speed 54, I have the trio of JP Speeds (45, 49 and 54 wide) complete.
    JP Speed 54, with NP EVO9 7.0m2 and Z-Fins SLM s- 30cm.
Now testing and trying to find the best settings of footstraps , mastfoot, fin-sail combination.

    54 needs 28 fin?

First try out on rough open water (Waddenzee). After a brought reach, I need to sail upwind again. Without enough fin , it will be a loooooong walk home.
(I saw an interview on Windsurfing TV with Vincent Valkenaers, who sailed the JP54 with 6.6m2 and symetrical 29cm fin ! )
Because of rough water and tidal stream, upwind capabilities are important too at Terschelling.
      A contradiction for a speedboard offcourse . . .

@@windsurfingterschellingfra1312, thank you for the explanation. Makes sense of course. Good luck with the new board!
