Located in the southwest of the Balkan Peninsula, Albania, which was once forested, has a Mediterranean climate with its economy largely relying on agriculture. In the previous video, I started my stay with a local Albanian family to get an insight into what traditional rural Albanian life is like.

ABOUT ME:
In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveler and CZcams creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveler, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on CZcams, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on CZcams.

I like the reality and simplicity of better life are living at the same time eating organic food and more so breathing fresh air, awesome.
It is very similar to the rural scenery of S.Korea where I grew up.

@Syifa Adriana - another fascinating glimpse into Albanian rural life. There is clearly a rapport between yourself and the family with whom you stayed, i hope that you are able to keep in contact with them and even re-visit them in the future. One of my biggest regrets when I was traveling is that I did not stay in contact with some of the wonderful people whom I met - although 'social media' was, back then, sending a letter or postcard - and we were like 'ships which pass in the night'.
Okay, the tree-climbing.... like your wood-chopping, needs a wee bit of practice ;)

One of the best things about travelling to the Land of the Eagles is that wherever you go, from the capital city to the Riviera, from the mountains to the historical towns, you will be welcomed by the locals. Albania is one of the friendliest countries you'll ever visit.

What a nice life there
Not a donkey though! That's a MULE, a cross between donkey and horse. They are stronger then horses and donkeys, which makes them perfect for farm work. We call them MERCEDESES of donkeys and horses in Albania, because they are stronger just like the German made cars :)

In one sentence, Albania countryside & You are great.
There's no other better way to know the pulse of a culture staying with a local family. I know a handful of ship language sentences have had been to Albania nearly 2 decades ago. It was right after the Balkan war. People weren't as relaxed as they seem to be now. Men had guns with them. They couldn't trust anyone which is quite understandable right after a war.
