Yes lovely day out catching a few fish. There were so many small fish out there I don’t think the cod had a chance to get to the bait!! Livebaits were ignored too which was a pity!!! Thanks as always for watching!!! Cheers ian

Hi Richard actually he wasn’t that bothered he didn’t get a cod he just enjoyed the day and catching a few fish! He has been catching striped bass in the USA so he’s probably spoilt!!! So glad you enjoyed the video cheers ian

Great sport, lots of fish for all of you's Ian. Fished a match myself on Saturday night up north, got a few smaller cod, but managed to pull out a 10lb 8oz cod from the rock mark I was fishing 👍👍🎣🎣. Tight lines mate, regards Charlie

Penn tidal 420 rod, casting special reels , 0.35 line( can’t remember brand) shock leader is 100lb braid ( better than mono in my opinion) pulley pennel with 2o strong Aberdeen’s. Hope that covers it!!! Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the video cheers ian

@@paulpaula2011 never had any issues…. Very small knot to mainline actually helps. Plus you can put many turns on your reel of the shock leader which helps landing bigger fish in the surf when the braid is on the reel for extra security! Cheers ian
