    We nee a retro looking modern falling block single shot and Henry can deliver. Octagon barrel is mandatory. Ability to mount a modern scope or traditional metallic sights is a must. This would be a winner on the range and the field. Please consider it.

      Ruver number 1 has don't that for ever...I have one in 45-70 and love it.... but henry could for sure cash in on that idea si.ce ruger only makes them in 3 calobers options a year and they end up all being bought up and inpossible to find in a caliber u want

      @@rex8958 No, they do not. Their 1885 is a limited production item in limited styles and caliber choices. Currently there are two models, one rimfire and one centerfire. The centerfire is a low wall model in several smallbore calibers. Forgive me, but if I want a smallbore caliber there are better choices out there that cost considerably less.

    All the Henrys are great guns. The long ranger is a full five star rifle. Fit and finish, action, balance, lockup, reliability adaptability to scope and bipod all excellent. Henry service when required has a great reputation. And Made In the USA!
    If I hadn't retired early I would own at least one more Henry. But owning two is sweet.

    Now I want to watch you cook up and eat what you just harvested. Coyote hunting makes no sense. Do you blame a Coyote for being a Coyote more than you blame your dog for being a dog? If you shoot them both, they react the same way. This coming from a hunter for years more than you have been alive. So you and your bud,......eat it! And show it! Your Coyote spots are more about killing, because you certainly aren't harvesting. See, coyotes are scavengers and they hunt normally alone, not in packs. Feeding on varmints or already dead or wounded animals. So you are killing them so they don't take your "varmints or already dead or wounded animals "???

    • @davidmathay7117
      @davidmathay7117 Před 3 lety +2

      And also realize something. Look closely before they actually shoot it. That coyote is clearly wounded/injured. It's favoring its back left leg. That makes it more dangerous than most. An injured wild animal is a dangerous wild animal.

    • @jasonpadgett2288
      @jasonpadgett2288 Před 3 lety

      @@terryritchings242 I can't speak to Australia or your environment. I can only speak to myself and many. We raised American Quarter Horses and Appaloosa 's. Along with sheep, chicken and Goat. But that being said, I never used a call of a dying animal to call in a Coyote that really had no interest to begin with. Now obviously, our modest 80 acres in America is not 5K acres in Australia

      There's a reason why these predators are considered a pest in all states and have year-round hunting seasons on them with populations that need to be controlled. Your reaction seems to be emotionally based and IMO has no place in field biology. I personally don't hunt critters I don't eat just like you but understand the need for predator control

    • @calebreutener870
      @calebreutener870 Před 3 lety

      The problem is an inflated coyote population that is comfortable near humans. There ain't enough dead material to sustain them so they turn to hunting weak animals.
