  • Drone update of the Missouri and Nishnabotna Rivers at Watson as of ~2:00 p.m. on 6/25/24.
    *Note: at around 08:00 I have a directional cue of "north" but it's actually south. I copied a text block and forgot to change the text. Apologies. :)
    The Missouri River at Brownville (NE) is now forecast to crest on Saturday morning, 6/29/24. According to the forecast, "[F]loodwaters will get very close to the top of the federal levee in Atchison County, Missouri. However, at this time the flood is not expected to overtop the levee."

    What a rainy spring we had across large portions of the nation and yet here, the Rio Grande went dry. Great drone footage!

      Thanks. They've gotten a lot of rain up north of here, and all of that comes down the river. It also depends on how much water they let out of the dams up north, and when (they've currently slowed it). Some communities north of here are already flooding. Supposedly it's not supposed to top the levee here this time, but we'll see. The farmers have been busy moving stuff.
