Thank you for such a well put together video! The sad, haunting music fits perfectly with the tragic yet beautiful power of nature . Sending prayers & sharing sorrow for all the deaths & devastation.

No problem. That is one of the only drawbacks to this beautiful place. Sometimes it floods. The people are resilient down there and will and always will rebuild

Aerial Ozarks, thank you for putting together this footage. As a current and long-time resident of West Plains, the flooding we recently experienced seems to have been something from a fever dream. And although the footage shown in this particular video was taken after the floodwaters had begun to recede, it still looks surreal to me. Good job on both the photography (videography?) and the choice in music.

dang these are all my neck of the woods...we were at Hodgeson mill a while after the water went down and all was green and pretty again...but you could see way up in the trees where the brambles and branches had caught things at the high water mark. That mill is well built-looked pretty good...dude was there that day repairing just a couple of safety rails

I fish and swim at hammond camp all the time since I live near there...I remember the flood, them having to rebuild it, and how long that area was blocked off for....the rec. area looks different than it used to now since the flood. Quite a few of the logs and downed trees are still laying here and there but they have come a long way after 4 years.

  • @pepesupreme6451

Great footage. Amazing to think that the crest levels were 2-3, maybe even 8 feet higher than filmed in some of those places. Wild flooding is beautiful but dangerous.

How floods are created. Trees grow wild. That absorbs more moisture from air and clouds and earth. That creates a storage tank and dirt of falling leafs. There is also human waste and animal waste which take in more hormones for trees. Concentration of trees gives rainfall and lakes nearby. This leads to final flooding of meandering rivers.
