Dog Rescued From Burning Car Thanks Cop With Kisses

- A deputy in Colorado is being hailed a hero for taking immediate action to save a dog from a car that was on fire. On Thursday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office shared video of the Jan. 22 rescue after Deputy Michael Gregorek was responding to a call of a vehicle on fire. When he got to the scene, he saw a man trying to get his dog out of an SUV. The deputy then lunged into the burning vehicle and pulled Hank out. Hank thanked the deputy the only way he knew how: by licking his hero's face.
He didn't just save a dog, he saved someone's family member. Props to that gentleman !

This is so bizarre. The dog was trapped because the doors were closed. If the doors were open, exit and access would have been easy. Something is not right about this.
We don’t know the what the full situation is. Maybe the owner accidentally locked himself out and then the fire started. We shouldn’t jump to Amy conclusions. Let’s just be happy Hank is save and the the owner seems very happy to have his dog back.

The man turned the car on to get it warmed up. While he waited, he got himself a cup of coffee or something similar. He put the dog in the car to ensure someone would think twice about napping it while it was on idle running and this was the unfortunate result.
Over where I live it is a common practice to have the car running for 5-10 minutes on full heat blast before using it during the coldest winter days.
People would be surprised how many owners lose their own lives trying to save their beloved pets, especially dogs!... The love is very deep, very connected,, unconditionally and the loyalty is just something you will have to experience on your own I guess!....
Here in Brazil a couple lost their lives as their dog fell in the ocean from a rock, they jumped in the water, but couldnt go back to shore, the firecorps rescued the woman and both dogs, but she died at the way to the hospital, men still missing i think.

My dog has actually literally saved my life 3 times, and even helped me in a fight when I got jumped. She is getting old now, and I literally don't know if I can go on living without her.
I 100% believe it. I had a grandmother who got badly burned trying to save her dogs from a house fire. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get the dogs out and they died in the fire. My grandmother did survive, as did her upstairs neighbors (they made it out ok without injury).

I watched a cop hit a window more than 5 times and didnt even scratch it. I left a nasty comment obviously because that cop is so weak they couldn't even break the window using the butt of their gun.
@@zombieblaster5754 It's all about what tools you have available. Car windows aren't designed to break easily. They only break when you hit it with a big enough force on small enough surface area but I guess not all cops get through a training where they get to smash windows.

Panic affects people in different ways. Not only that but there could have been numerous reasons why he didn’t save the dog. For example, door could’ve been stuck, he was weak from smoke inhalation, he doesn’t have a spare key, there was nothing to break the window with, etc. Stop judging people based on a video that’s less than a minute.

@@TheReevessss as a former firefighter it was most likely electrical. A lot of wires stay energized all the time all it takes is one or more of those wires to be exposed and dropping a few sparks on the carpet

My family’s apartment caught all the smoke and water from the next build and began burning on the back. My dad told me they left their turtle in a rush. I spoke to one fireman gave him and idea of where could’ve been and later we got the turtle back. The fireman had never rescued a turtle but we truly appreciate his desire to assess the situation and go for it.

This was my thought, how in the world did the owner get out of the car to save himself and somehow left the dog in there and didn't keep his door open when he got out himself. Unless the fire started when the driver was not inside the car but that would beg the question why the dog was in a locked car alone??? Then doesn't even try to break the windows or open the doors (even if the handles were hot, could've used a shirt to protect his hands???)
@@emmar-h2025 yeah I would’ve had my dog and me out in a second. Wouldn’t even wait for the cops or the firefighters. Which is funny bc I remember when my cat had got herself stuck in a sewer and i climbed down to save her. Pennywise couldn’t even have stopped me 😌
@@emmar-h2025 In my opinion it’s very possible this was a made up story with the dog being used to get a headline. Sounds crazy but just like you I started asking obvious questions on what I was seeing and there is no explanation. Cars don’t just randomly start on fire and why would the dog be in there if the owner got out. And if the car was on fire, he was really just gonna walk around it till police arrive. The dog should have burns all over its body if that’s the case. Continue to ask yourself these obvious questions with all news headlines and stories. I don’t know what the purpose is but I think that dog was planted there for reasons beyond his comprehension:( poor dog

I’m in tears over here. That deputy’s dedication to free the dog from the fire was nothing less than a heroic act. As I watched I noticed he just jumped right in to save the pup without a moment to consider his own safety. I especially liked that quick toss launching the pup into the snow for an immediate cool down. Thanks for sharing. This truly made my day.
