    Joe is a national treasure. So happy I got his jersey for my bday last year. Now, just need to get it signed like my Vlasic & Erik Karlsson

    Should have been a Bruin for life. Would have loved to see him win a title with us. What a career.

    Joe is a super guy...great player (and a great fighter too). Boston were foolish to have traded him away.

    The first game I ever watched live, Joe had a Howe hat trick for the Bruins.
    Huge fan of Jumbo’s.

      No, unfortunately. It was literally the first nhl game I ever saw on TV. I’m pretty sure Jumbo was only 19 or 20 at the time.

    I remember hearing that, after the Thornton trade, Raycroft was a cancer in the Bruin dressing room; thus the trade to the Leafs.

    • @Aforg209
      @Aforg209 Před rokem

      Raycroft wasn't a cancer. Rask was a better prospect than Raycroft was worth keeping. Great trade

    I liked Joe but Samsonov was playing a year sooner. Sammy played like a veteran, while Joe needed a year for more development. Bull shit, there was alot of pressure Joe. Boston took a big gamble on Joe. Boston payed a lot of money. (first round pick) He lacked defensive play. Boston knew he wasn’t a good fit for Boston. They gave him time. Didn’t live up to the expectations while in Boston. Also: Over time organizations realized he didn’t play very well in playoffs. Total career: 32 goals, 102 assists and a plus-minus of -36 in 187 games . He was a good player and had his moments but couldn’t sustain anything consistently. I think his best run was in San Jose when he had very good teammates. Good chemistry. 05-06 was his best season. Leader in points. I was shocked he made it this fare in his career. Go Boston!
