Rich and Sandi are on their lynx line using snare pens to catch the big cats. ~-~~-~~~-~~-~ Please watch: "Trapping Inc TV How Rich makes his favorite Marten Lure" • Trapping Inc TV How Ri... ~-~~-~~~-~~-~
I made these snares last fall and caught my first lynx on a blind set. We found a lynx track walking under a deadfall tree, a little blocking off with the snare top set at knee height. Next morning, catch made. Easy to make, easy to set and they work. Thanks for showing us this.
Great video! The pen system with the snare is amazing! I remember back in the day, 1974, I caught a lynx in a leg hold trap. When I got there he was caught by one toe and still alive. Hudson’s Bay gave $345.00 for the pelt! Love the lynx! My most favourite animal!
Why don't you use those kill springs on lynx snares like on chayote snares. Have you tried the Vicks vapo rub for cats yet. Thanks for the interesting informative programs. Makes me wish your winters were longer so there would be more videos.
No need for the kill spring on lynx snares. Cats I have very little muscle sheath over top of their carotid arteries. It is the compression of the carotid arteries that it a snare uses to kill with. So lynx die very quickly and easily without kill Springs.
Hi! I take the entire intestinal tract from a lynx or two and put them in a pail and let it set for the summer. Stir whenever the lid blows off. Cut with a healthy amount of bacon grease and add some glycerin to stop from freezing. That’s it! The urine is lynx or fox, both work. Cheers, Rich

Nice going thats awesome.. 1st year trapper.. My lynx walk by my pens alot.. Am i making my pens to covererd? I use spruce limbs
I don't cover mine at all they are open other than being under a tree.
Ive been watching most ur lynx n marten shows got lots of tips and tricks👍 i shall use lil sticks as seen on this video
Excellent video. On average how many are you trapping annually with this method over your old method?
Depends. I'm allowed 22 a season. I get them most years using the pens and snares.
Has anybody tried it on western bobcats???
I never have, we are too far north for bobcats.
what's that home lure you are using and the urine you spray back at the tree is what thanks bud.

Thanks for getting back to me that will really help me out. Allen
Do you leave what's inside the intestinal tract in there to??
Yes because it is most likely rabbit. Lynx favorite food.
Yep
