I know you prefer live performances, but you really need to see the video that goes with this. He is a little flat in pitch in this performance, so the video has the "perfected" version, but more importantly, the visuals are amazing and really help push the message along. I believe I heard him say this is the song he's the most proud of in his whole catalog. It's what I wish for everyone. Wow, what the world could be if everyone followed these simple words!

This song came out when my youngest son was an infant. He would often go with me to feed cattle from pasture to pasture. Anyway, whenever this song came on the radio I'd stop the truck, look him in the eyes and sing it to him. Even at just a few months old, this song would give him the biggest smile. Great memories

Believe me, I know that the copyright restrictions are tough and the chance of having the video blocked is much higher with “Official Videos” of theses songs, and I also know that oftentimes you feel like the live performances are more raw and more real, but as others have said, you really owe it to yourself to see the Official Video for this one even if you can’t do a separate reaction to it. I've been a Tim McGraw fan since I first heard him sing Indian Outlaw. What has always impressed me about him,is that the fact that he is just a good human shines through. If you want to hear more "sexy" from him, react to It's Your Love, with his wife, Faith Hill,or Real Good Man. Both are great songs and really showcase his talent.

Thanks for sharing this great song- Tim McGraw thinks deeply; he's got a lot of songs like this. Have you heard his song "Live Like You Were Dying"? It's another powerful message. I wonder if Tim makes his songs for his daughters; he's left a lot of good advice on vinyl. Agree with you - "Love Bombing" is a dirty way to get into a woman's bedroom. It's funny, I just listened to "The Man in Black" before this - Johnny Cash is another artist who delivers important messages in his music (and Tim seems to like wearing black, himself).
“Live Like You Were Dying” did have a powerful message. I’ve heard many times it was written about his father, Tug McGraw. Tug was a professional baseball player in the 60s through the 80s. He was a left handed closer for the Phillies for as long as I remember. I used to go to Astros games a lot, and boy did I have a huge on Tug McGraw! He passed away from brain cancer when he was in his 50s. Way too soon.
