MS 180 is an awesome saw for the average homeowner that might cut firewood once a year. Even as an arborist, this saw is good enough as a backup saw to keep on the truck. We use the pro saws, because using them all day, every day, you want the extra power and the longevity... but for the average joe, the 180 is more than enough, and it's about 1/3 of the price of even the smallest pro saws.
I am having an issue with my stihl 16 " ms211 chain saw. The master throttle lever slides past another lever on the carburettor. I have taken it back 5 times to rectify the issue. I asked the stihl dealers to do a report on it and notify the Stihl head office that they have a faulty engineering issue, I was told, that would require to much paper work. Warranty has just expired, the chain saw is back in the work shop to fix the problem, but now they tell me that there is some other issue with the fuel supply, without even looking at it. I was told to leave it in the workshop for a service, which I have done. I am going back there today to inspect the saw myself because I believe that the master throttle lever has broken off, because on one occasion when I took the saw in to be repaired they told me that they had fixed the problem by bending the lever.
I have the same issue. I found that if I manually turn the choke off vs pulling the trigger it happens a while lot less. Its the act of pulling the trigger with the choke on can forces that stupid plastic component pass its natural stop and then the butterfly valve doesn't move. Deano
Omg man please stop flattering your throttle, it’s not a dirt bike! Two stroke tools is on or off on throttle. Customer using the saw like you do is so easy to spot the heat spot that voids the still warranty. Regardless great video.
Do you have good services carburetor? Or also check air filter if there is no wood dust. The last thing what I also heard that someone changed by mistake direction of chain and didn't realize:D

No difference 😀
There is a different feeling of this saws, 180 has only bushing, so vibrations are higher than on 211
definitely a price and longevity difference as well
I have the stilh Ms 211 and it won't even cut 4 inch thick wood anybody no why the blade is brand new but it smokes a lot and wasted a lot of oil?????

@@Farmandforestlife thanks alot for your reply I really appreciate it a lot god bless you and your family 🙏💪💯
Something is definitely backwards, the MS211 cuts big logs no problem. BTW I'm also a Uribe haha, nice to meet another one!
