- Nagpur is the third largest city and the winter capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the 13th largest city in India by population and according to an Oxford's Economics report, Nagpur is projected to be the fifth fastest growing city in the world from 2019 to 2035 with an average growth of 8.41%.It has been proposed as one of the Smart Cities in Maharashtra and is one of the top ten cities in India in Smart City Project execution.
In the latest rankings of 100 developing smart cities given by the Union Ministry of Urban Development, Nagpur stood first in Maharashtra state and second in India. Known as the "Orange City", Nagpur has officially become the greenest, safest, and technologically developed city in the Maharashtra state.

It's not only about the state government. It's more about other governments, as development of Maharashtra slows or stops the development of other states.

It is already in progress. It's existing infrastructure is slowly being shifted elsewhere. Major work wil progress after worli-sewri corridor and Trans-harbour link is completed.

@@Aditya-lc5uk Project of this size can't be built in just a few years. It is being built on a running harbour in a busy city near navy area.
Let me give you updates: In a few years, they have built a International Cruise terminal (ICT), Domestic Cruise Terminal (DCT) & RO PAX Terminal. Next they will start work on water taxi & sea plane services and rope way from Haji Bandar to Elephanta caves.
They have to shift their other services to JNPT. So yes, It will take years to complete as it should. Because look what happened in Dubai and Shanghai, they spent so much money on their skyscrapers and they are half empty.
