    • @robertolebron2296
      @robertolebron2296 Před 9 lety +2

      Running is easier than passing. If you can dominate on the run, then why pass the ball. Running is easy, just run the ball and don't fumble. passing, you have to find the open receiver and not throw interceptions, and also the receiver must catch the ball and get the first down or a touchdown. BRAXTON MILLER PLAYS NEXT YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR!

    +rak haemet I agree. What it is about the second level of Zeke's success is Cardale's deep ball ability. If your a safety and you think the balls going to Zeke you can't be sure and if it proves to be a play action you better bail for your life cause Cardale can throw the damn ball as deep as I've seen a college QB throw in a long time. Therefore, that leaves a better chance for free running room to the second level where Zeke makes amazing plays. No matter what I'm happy as a Buckeye fan. Go Bucks!

      Don't get me wrong miller is a beast athlete but barrett is the better all around QB. He's a much better thrower than miller and can still run effectively. His stats are also better than millers and miller had tons of NFL talent around him. Barrett is doing this with an extremely young team. A lot of his playmakers are freshmen or sophmores and he has the second youngest offensive line in the country, unlike miller who had 4 NFL lineman.

    As a Buckeye fan and a Braxton Miller fan.
    I enjoy watching Joe Thomas Barrett (JT Barrett) Play on the field. I think he is going to be great. But... I would love to see Braxton back as a buckeye, I mean this guy picked us up so much. Are us buckeye fans actually wishing for Braxton to just go away? Personally, I am. I love seeing both those guys do their thing. J.T was the star of 2014-15 year, he carried us to #4, with help from Devin smith and all those guys. I mean I know Braxton Miller personally, I have meant him and his cousin. J.T is great, and so is Braxton. I cant wait to see what happens next year for those too guys.

    I will say this. Currently I enjoy JT more on the field for his control of his offense and QB abilities. However, those QB abilities can be gained if Braxton dedicates his off season to improving his game management, vision, and touch/timing. All of that can be worked on to a certain extent. However there is nothing on god's green earth that will give JT, Braxton's natural athletic ability. If Braxton improves his QB skills, he gets the start, hands down. If he doesn't, its a dog fight, and a decision for Meyer between Braxtons explosiveness and JT's consistency.

      Agreed. I'd like to see Urban utilize Barrett and Miller together for one freaky, unpredictable offense next year! Miller basically won the games single handedly, where Barrett had almost a complete offense working in his favor. I think it was the Penn st game where Barret was "the man" that won the game, but there on out, the offense really clicked

    i think you can incorporate all three into the offense. i personally think barrett, being the youngest and most prolific, will win out in camp, so he gets most of the snaps. but running a wildcat with braxton as a change-up to the spread offense with barrett could be highly effective.watch the highlights, braxton can throw it DEEP, as in cardale jones deep, and he can burn you with his legs. with elliott as another runner in the backfield, that is a second style of offense that a defense has to prepare for. jones can come in as a backup in the blowouts and short distance situations, or god forbid we need a hail mary, it's obvious you can just throw jones in and he'll perform anyways.

    Here's my take on the qb position. First off, Miller's shoulder health trumps everything. None of this means anything if his shoulder's not healthy. BUT, if it is, I wouldn't mind seeing Braxton back there for no other reason than Zeke taking a TON of pressure off any qb... and not just because of how he runs. Zeke is the best blocking TB I've EVER seen. Remember how Evan Spencer blocked down(bama etc).. thats how Zeke guards the backfield. I can't imagine how much more effective the 2-time BTPOY could be with him in the backfield. And before every one goes Cardale lovin' - he's still inexperienced, and he still made some glaring mistakes and glaring bad throws into coverage(again, before you go crucifying braxton and talking about Cardales throwing)... and for what it's worth - JT is the smartest and the TOUGHEST of all three. Put it in Urban's hands and go with his decision. If it's not Braxton, get him on the field 10 times a game anyway. Granted that would have to happen a few games into the season for transition reasons.While Cardale won 3 huge games, and he did, he made more terrible throws and mistakes in 3 games than JT did in 11(VT aside). And in Cardales defense - he's easily the best deep ball qb of the bunch. JT doesn't have enough arm strength, and Braxton isn't as accurate midrange either. If you want my honest opinion - JT gives us the best chance at repeating if he's healthy. The other two make more mistakes with the ball, period. We have so many pieces - start the smart/tough kid. again, jmo. averages per start career: JT 78 rushing, 236 passing .83int/gm - CJ 30 rushing, 247passing, .67int/gm - BM 84 rushing, 147 passing, .47int/gm... and in all fairness to Braxton - he's the only one of the 3 who's a threat to take it to the house on every play. First play on ESPN in HS - Braxton goes 80 yards for a TD... he's a special athlete. One in a million. He has to be on the field in some capacity. SOme scoffed at him proclaiming "im the best athlete in CF" - he very well may be. /\ show me a better highlight tape of a current player. I'm waiting. .......still waiting.... ....yep... still...

  • @lbjohnnyjohn
    @lbjohnnyjohn Před 9 lety +1

    One thing Braxton has over both these guys is that he can run his ass off. JT is fast, but not Braxton fast. And it is fun to see Cardale lower the hurt on some DB. But lets face it no one wants to lose a quarterback because he took to many hits. We need a guy with a better than decent arm and that is all three. We also need an elusive player and that is Braxton. If he is one hundred percent healed he will start. Think about what he would have done with this team. He could have been Heisman winner. Sorry, I got a little light headed.

    The reason I want Braxton to start is because he is the most exciting QB to watch in football in my opinion. I mean find me a QB that is more fun to watch than Braxton. If Barrett starts we will just see Elliot tearing up and Barrett throwing the ball 10 yards. Nothing against Barrett, I want him to start when Braxton leaves but I'd much rather watch Braxton play.

    I think JT Barrett should be the starter followed by Miller and than Jones. I know a lot of you are high on Jones. I think a lot of you are overlooking some things though. Don't get me wrong, I like him too but I feel he still has a lot room for improvement in his game, mostly in his footwork in the pocket and his decision making when under pressure. Yes he played in the biggest games of the season and yes OSU came out the victor in those games, but that doesn't mean he is the one to lead the team going forward. He is known for his rocket arm which he showcased mostly in the Wisconsin game. He threw three long TD's to Devin Smith and another long one to Devin in the Alabama game. But to be a great QB, you gotta do more than just throw the long ball. Also how much of those TD's were because of Devin Smiths ability to separate himself from the defender. The TD throw to Devin in the Alabama game the Defender slipped and fell and Devin even had to come back to the ball. Had the receiver not fallen down, that throw probably would have been intercepted. Now that Devin has moved on to the NFL, we don't even know if OSU has a viable deep threat receiver. There was also a few times in the Alabama game where he was nearly sacked in the end zone because he held the ball too long. His size bailed him out because he was able to drag himself just far enough across goal line and throw it away so the play didn't result in a safety. Which in turn gave Alabama a very short field to work with and kept them in the game. He did that a couple of times in the Oregon game as well. Very fortunate those didn't result in turnovers. Plus the defense and Ezekiel Elliot had their best games of the whole season when Jones was in at QB So essentially all he had to do was manage the game well enough to win. Lets not forget, he was the 3rd string QB on the depth chart for a reason. The coaches see all three of these guys in practice each and every day. They know what each QB brings to the game. If you look at Cardale's stats from other games in which he played other than the final three of this past season, his stats were highly inconsistent and against some pretty inferior teams. Against Kent State, he completed only 4 passes on 30 attempts and threw 2 ints. Again, that was against Kent State. So do you really want to start someone that has only three real starts under them to someone that has 4 years of proven experience or over the guy that gelled and grew with a all new offensive line and set all time passing records at OSU over the course of a full season. Just doesn't make sense to me.

    If Braxton can stay healthy easily best big ten qb and probably my 2nd choice behind Mariota in country
    1. Marcus Mariota
    2. Braxton Miller
    3. Trevone Boykin
    4. Blake Sims
    5. JT Barrett
    Jameis will never ever ever be on my list thug

    • @osu5inarow
      @osu5inarow Před 9 lety

      Sims is graduating and boykin I'd have to disagree on that I'd also throw in cook and I'll take Barrett off if I had brax or vise versa but I'd have either Webb or mahomes from texas tech

      Jameis will never ever ever be on my list thug==== Is that because the worthless shit belongs in prison? I do like your list, all quality QBs who are ethical. You may even want to add Cordale Jones after the Sugar Bowl performance.

      lol Winston will wipe the floor with all those losers. He's also not a "thug" or a "rapist". If you followed the facts you would know that, but of course that's not a reasonable thing to assume since you have a garbage QB like Mariota as your number 1 who will not amount to anything in the NFL.

    My Opinion Is , Braxton Should Take A Different Role On The Team Like Denard Robinson Of Michigan Did His Senior Season Becoming An Wide Receiver / Running Back . But If He Continues to play quarter back it's his starting spot between him and cardale because there both seniors

    • @dejondecruz8720

    Idc what anybody says if Braxton is healthy he starting this year! If he played with the offense cardale and jt had this year he would've put the same numbers if not better. He never had a Marshall, Micheal Thomas type of wrs and the defense was way better this year. Braxton always had to try and outscore the other team his junior year because the defense was so bad.

    If theres one thing that i don't like about Miller hes fragile as glass. It seems every other game hes getting hurt and limping off the field. I love Braxton but he can't stay healthy for a full year.
