Jupiter 42 is out of NDA and is a fantastic Royal Navy destroyer with excellent concealment very powerful armor piercing shells those found normally on the higher tiers, hydro speed boost and high damage torpedoes making Jupiter feel very strong indeed.
Jupiter '42 - British Tier VII destroyer. A J-class ship, distinct from the earlier generation of "standard" destroyers, featuring a novel layout, larger size, and more powerful armament. HMS Jupiter initially served in the Home Fleet before being shifted to the Mediterranean. Starting in December 1941, the ship joined Allied operations in Southeast Asia, and it was in this region that she sent a Japanese submarine to the bottom. On February 27, 1942, Jupiter was lost when she hit a mine during the Battle of the Java Sea and sank.

I have the Jupiter 42 with a more interesting build focus more on consumables and speed.
You need to have the special British commander Andrew Cunningham with 21 points. Them choose Consumable Specialist , Preventive Maintenance , Consumables Enhancements , Land Stand , Survivability Expert , Swift in Silence , Concealment Expert and Dazzle.
This means with a speed flag you do 40 / 43 knots at Tier 7 when hidden and in the first 15 seconds of being spotted with a 20% dispersion bonus.
Your concealment at 5.7 km mean that if you want at most times just spot and avoid enemy DD forcing them to smoke up which you fire your single aimed torps into.
With this you dominate any capture points because it is very rare to face radar at T7.
Even if what to fight you have 6 short smokes to farm damage or disengaged. With Andrew Cunningham you get the +1 consumable bonus with the 2nd kill which is not very hard to do so you do not need the Superintendent skill.
Even if the torps are slow you can punish any BB pushing at 6km bow on in a single torp row doing 50k plus damage.
This is now one of my most favorite DD to play.

...but it's no Haida. Same concealment, HE, crawling smoke, a secondary gun and 8km torps. That's the TVII seal clubber. :-)
Haida can't hit a dd with a 5k gun salvo though :D

As person who really enjoy playing Cossack, this looks very good to me.
But I still not sure if my Cossack commander can fit Jupiter42 or not.

@@CarbineCarlitoto be fair, Cossack could make use of that skill too for shooting broadside cruisers and Daring certainly benefits from it.
I've got to assume the sub ran out of dive capacity and was forced to surface, it happens.

You can't earn all 90 for free some have to be purchased to get Jupiter. The only one you can get 100% for free with tokens is the Perth

Have to disagree on this one.
Jupiter was nerfed into oblivion by WG and it shows.
Jervis has better AP DPM and HE.
Jervis has double the torpedoes. And the same torp reload time as jupiter. Both have the same 7km range.
The only advantages jupiter has is 0.7km concealment and a speed boost. Which helps you in surprise attacks but thats it. As soon as your spotted, those advantages disappear.
You can sneak up on DDs but probably will still lose the gunfight in a drawn out scenario.
Good luck fighting anything bigger than a DD in this thing because you have no HE and half the torpedo battery of a normal tier 7 DD. And the AP DPM isnt enough to compensate like druid or daring.
You had a lot of support dealing with bigger targets this game.
In the end its a free ship. And Weegee ruined it with a massive list of nerfs as they normally do to free ships.
Yes it was OP in its first iteration. But they went too far. Now its just a worse jervis.
It can be quite difficult to come to terms when testing ships early on and they are extremely powerful and essentially just too strong and the final released versions. The 700m advantage in spotting is huge in relation to Jervis. Being able to dictate how and when you fight is simply not to be underestimated
@@CarbineCarlito i agree. Concealment is a big advantage. But you have to be able to back this up with damage.
Which is where jupiter falls short. This is why cossack is so good. Compared to lightning. She has better concealment and more gun power but less torpedo power. Jupiter has better concealment but all her damage parametera are inferior to her tech tree counterpart.
You have to remember too. Youll be uptiered more often than not. Would you rather be uptiered in a jervis with HE. Or in jupiter where youll not be anywhere near as effective a deterrant.
To be clear. I really wanted this ship to be good. But nerfs dealt with that quickly.
Its not a free ship. You will have to pay at least 5k doubs for it. It seems not that good but for 5k I may get it.
After 20 matches in mine it is pretty underwhelming experience.
Either give it HE or return it to it's original fate of fire. That would go a long way in helping it out.

I beg to disagree. Jupiter is outstanding. When fighting higher tiers you need to focus on superstructures and lightly armored sections of cruisers like bows and sterns and torps when you can because they have some very nice damage. After 30 games I'm averaging over 50k damage with a 73% winrate currently
