  • I knew my Kohler engine wasn't running right and suspected the ignition timing was off. In this video I show how I adjusted the spark to happen at the right time. In this case it made my old engine start easier and run better.

I’ve got a cub 127 hydro that kicks back when I try to start it. Thank you for that bit about it being too advanced.

Thank you, I did not know any of this. Next time I fiddle with my log splitter, I'll have to get a timing light out.

I have a 350 Howard Rotavator I’ve replaced the Conrad I finally got spark and ignition and it does run but it has eaten free keyways and now destroyed the flywheel can you tell me what I’ve done wrong please?

Damaged key ways has to be because the flywheel was not fitting on the crankshaft taper properly or the nut wasn't torqued properly. I've seen those flywheels crack around the crankshaft hole on the back side of the flywheel. If it's cracked the taper won't fit right and the flywheel would need replaced. I don't know what a Conrad is.

@@PackratsFabrications I really appreciate you getting back to me we call the Conrad attaches to the crankshaft and the piston. I’ve got a problem in England as there’s only one man what seems to have all the parts he’s insisting that I buy a brand-new engine Japanese but I really would like to keep this one. Thank you very much for all your help. I will continue watching all your videos. Much appreciated Gary.
