    *Ingredients:*
    - 3 large onions, thinly sliced
    - Whole spices: 1 black cardamom, 4 green cardamom pods, 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 star anise, 5 cloves, 15 black peppercorns
    - 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
    - 3 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
    - 1 tablespoon salt
    - 1 tablespoon chili powder
    - 1 teaspoon chili flakes
    - 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
    - 1 tablespoon coriander powder
    - 1 teaspoon black cumin seeds
    - 800 grams chicken, curry cut
    - 1 cup water
    - 4-5 green chilies, slit
    - 1 cup chopped coriander leaves
    - 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
    - 3 cups water (for cooking rice)
    - 2 cups (500 grams) basmati rice, soaked
    - Chopped green chilies, for garnish
    - Fried onions, for garnish
    - Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish
    - 1 tablespoon desi ghee
    *Instructions:*
    1. *Frying Onions and Whole Spices:*
    - Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
    - Add the thinly sliced onions and whole spices (black cardamom, green cardamom pods, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, black peppercorns).
    - Fry until the onions turn light brown, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove some fried onions for garnish and set aside.
    2. *Adding Aromatics:*
    - Add ginger garlic paste to the pan and fry for another 2 minutes on medium heat.
    3. *Cooking Tomatoes:*
    - Add the thinly sliced tomatoes to the pan, cover, and cook for 5 minutes until they soften.
    4. *Adding Spices:*
    - Stir in salt, chili powder, chili flakes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and black cumin seeds.
    - Cook for an additional 5 minutes on medium heat. Add a splash of water if needed to prevent the spices from burning.
    5. *Cooking Chicken:*
    - Add the chicken pieces to the pan and fry for 8 minutes over high heat, stirring occasionally.
    6. *Adding Water and Flavorings:*
    - Pour in 1 cup of water, add slit green chilies, chopped coriander leaves, and garam masala powder.
    - Mix well, cover the pan, and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
    7. *Cooking Rice:*
    - After 20 minutes, uncover the pan and add 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
    - Add the soaked basmati rice. Mix gently and cook for 10 minutes over high heat until most of the water has been absorbed.
    8. *Garnishing and Final Cooking:*
    - Sprinkle chopped green chilies, fried onions, and coriander leaves over the rice.
    - Drizzle desi ghee on top. Cover and cook for an additional 15 minutes over low heat.
    9. *Serving:*
    - Once done, uncover the pan, gently mix the pulao, and serve hot.
