Why does it feel like I'm watching a TV show? Taylor's concept is beyond every influencers'!
I was thinking the exact same thing!!
Her content really is next level, you just know she puts in a lot of work and passion
@@paulieneeckels8495 yes. And she really emphasizes what she intends to without being too "taylor-centered". Not cringy.
I completely agree with you!!! She does her research like a travel reporter. I love it! It’s quality!!!
HK is getting better and better every day! I’m sticking around!
*Omg, Chanel partnering with Taylor* We stan a successful Queen 🙌
Ikr she's on a different tier of sponsorships
That’s like top tier of sponsorships lol
@Rim Gh I am not sure about her wealth, but she is very hard working and an amazing person and hence deserves all the success coming her way ❤
I love that Taylor does more than „just make up“. I love that you go and show different parts of Hongkong and that you combine so many amazing topics
Thank you! I really wanted to bring in different aspects so there’s something for everyone (and also hopefully something new to learn/see!) ❤️
No idea why I'm watching this - but I do not care about make-up.
I'm very much enjoying the non-makeup - (but I'll admit the makeup looks good)
I've always beeen fascinated by Hong Kong, and I'd no idea there was any French presence there at all - I'd lazily assumed just Viet Nam.
As a Hongkonger, I’m just glad people of other nationalities haven’t abandoned the city yet with all the things going on, Taytay included. Thank you for reminding us that there’s good left in this city. Some of us really need that different perspective.
Absolutely agree. The more they go to great lengths with the most nefarious means to cancel our culture and try to change us to what they want, the more we need to appreciate these day-to-day life details on the ground to be reminded what US HKGERS are made of.
HK is the first foreign city I've been, and came back there. I fell in love right away. Love that I can go to one place to another by myself, and the vibe also feels different.
Gosh I hope the global community realizes what China is doing to Hong Kong and stops them before it’s too late.
@@vivienmartin225do you live in HK?
i just come back from videos saying hongkong billionaire bought the most expensive house in london. xD and the family expected to live there before christmas. with all that have been happening in hk for sure
WHOAAA I didnt know that hong kong had a huge french community!!! I love learning about diff cultures and places!!!
They do and they’re incredible people ☺️❤️
Omg, now if I go to Hong Kong, I won't be scared to venture out...I speak French so that would be cool.
HK has always been having a big expat community! Don’t forget it was colony of UK for almost 200 years. It is not anything surprising at all
Hong Kong has many different communities. Like Vladivostok it's a bit of Europe in the heart of Asia
@@hellowingy Indeed indeed; I hope people would still say the same in 50 years.
As a french person, I’m so glad that you appreciate France that much :)
I miss it a lot ❤️ especially my family there. Hope to travel back soon
Me too :)
Yes we appreciate your racism, Islamaphobia and arrogance 🥰
Racism ?
@@depressedaf3603 thanks 💕 as a proud black and religious woman I indeed suffer everyday. Me and my "community" indeed receive absolutely no help nor support from my fellow countrymen. All the country is full of hatred and the racism is so strong I dont know what to do and I cant go out without fearing bad looks and insults 🙄🙄
OMG Taylor, with all honesty and no fangirling you or anything, among all these tons of TRASH youtube content, this video is insanely 1) creative 2) thoughtout 3) well-executed 4) labor-intensive. I love to see such a popular CZcamsr commit so hard to her content. Keep up with your amazing ideas!
Agree 1000% !!!!😃
yes I can't agree more...those boring make up videos ...fashion they are good. but I like Taylor s videos carry more depth and dimension with people's stories!!!
A local hongkong tourism place SERIOUSLY needs to sponsor you. You have been single handily driving my wanderlust to visit China
Even with recent events. Hong Kong is still a lot different than China. I'd not recommend planning your experience of what you'd see in the PRC based on her videos of Hong Kong
I second this!! She has done so many great videos, exploring the charm of Hong Kong
You must be dreaming. Her content will need the approval of PRC's Ministry of Culture first. No promote CCP narratives, no go.
Why don't you just say out what you really mean? - Xi JinPing, give her money to do videos for CCP. :-)
@@Tekhelet75 rolls eyes** Hong Kong has their own tourist promo backed by local gov. Ccp has bigger fish to fry and regardless of any video you partner with its customary to send them a preview. This applies for all companies so no need to make it sound like only CCP will want approval because they don’t give a fuck when they have bigger fish to fry. They delegate to the local tourist board.
As a french, I can tell you what you ate in the morning look more like another dish than a french toast (it's called croque monsieur)
French toast are mostly eaten only with sugar and you really need a bread with crust :)
Who is Skill Share and Hello Fresh? Our girl and her Chanel sponsorships. Queen! 👑
I’m so proud of her 🥺❤️
Hello Taylor, just there to tell you that you also have a community of French subscribers 💙
Yes Hi!
Chanel is sponsoring this video 😭 Taylor we love you. We live our dreams through you ♥️ I was having a horrible day but seeing your video posts made it better. We love a humble fabulous queen!
You are killing it with all these uploads, I am in love all these travel/cultural vlogs. They are like fun documentaries~
Ahhh I have the biggest smile on my face- thank you!
This is my favourite channel so far. You are not an influencer, you are a story teller. I absolutely love the amount of work involved in your videos, the information, the places and people. AMAZING!
i can't be the only one that extremely appreciates the subs with every upload~ this is what i call quality content ahhaa thank u!
Watching Taylor's videos is like being served a 5 course meal. At the end you will be full and satisfied.☺
I love the way you are exploring Hong Kong lately. This and the Thrift shop video show a more mature, smart, and interesting Taylor. It still has your fun personality, but it shows how much you've grown. Congratulations!
Please do a part 2 with the other recommendations they had!
Tay never fails to pop in with a video you didn't know you needed. Amazing how Hong Kong has a niche for everything almost!
And for the record the beret is not too much haha
It really does! So many cultures in one compact place ☺️
These are my favorite kinds of videos!! I love learning about the local secrets in every place and I never would have known about a french community in Hong Kong had Taylor not expired it with us!!
I'm sorry, our girl got a CHANEL sponsorship!? Yassssssssss!!
As a French, I'm beyond happy to watch this video 🙌 great job Taytay ♥️
Hi Taylor ! 🙋🏻♀️
I'm long time viewer (from Taytay 2.0 area 🎀) but I've never dare to comment your video.
I've seen your previous Paris vlog and as I French person I'm so glad that other people can discover my country through your eyes and I'm very curios about the next country you're going to introduce us !! ✨
I don't know if you're going to read this comment but if you, or anyone else desire to try French literature here is some recommandations :
- "The man who wanted to be happy" by Laurent Gounelle (he is a French actor / philosopher I would say, and after finishing his books you always sort of feel positive and ready enough to make to necessary positive changes in your life. The message is deep, still the style is accessible)🌿
- "Bonjour tristesse" by Francoise Sagan (this is actually one of the book you can study in high school; this is a very good representative of it's time) ☔️
- Anything from Jules Vernes (I don't know how it's going to be translated, it could be a little bit hard because it's "old French", nevertheless his books are real gate to time travel)🎞
- Also anything from Guillaume Musso or Marc Levy. Their are both very popular French author, can be a good introduction to French language if you read the original version. You always end up being really into the stories even is the prose is accessible. 🥐
- Children stories such as "Sophie's misfortunes" by the Countess of Segur is still a vivid and romanesque memory from my childhood. 🪡
- In fine, "The outsider" from Albert Camus, "Nana" from Emile Zola, "Les miserables" from Victor Hugo, "In search of lost time" from Marcel Proust are really good classics. 🕯
If hope some of you could find a little bit of inspiration from this non-exhaustive list. 📚🙏🏻
I’m a french subscriber and let me tell you: this video was soooo interesting!! 🥺 thank you Taylor 💕
Taylor- I love your videos! You can tell you always put so much effort into making them and you can see your appreciation and how genuine you are! I don’t always comment but I wanted to this video because it was so well done. From the outfit to the variety and to the little interviews. I love that you make it all encompassing and don’t just do food or art or fashion like so many. You tied it all together, made some friends and discovered many new places and got options for more in the future!
Lots of love from southern US! 🥰🥰Maybe someday I can visit this part of the world, but until then, I have your videos!!
bisous
Dear Taylor, your happiness radiates from your videos. I hope you'll be blessed with happiness through these tough years.
Taylor...you made the French Canadien in me so proud....merci beaucoup....love...and love Chanel.....💗❤️💗
❤️❤️❤️
You walking around with the Artist gave me 'Before Sunrise' vibes somehow. I would love a series where you just walk around Hong Kong talking to a 'stranger'. I could listen to their stories forever. (Like when you visited the traditional Ceramics shop.)
We actually talked for 2 hours, it made me think about starting a podcast ☺️
That is such a great movie series!
This will forever be my favorite channel, she does an amazing job it feels like I’m watching a fancy tv show
The amount of effort you put into these videos is not taken for granted. Thanks for the great content you put out!
i totally understand getting nervous about ordering in french, being canadian and having to take french for so many years in school, i still feel like i haven’t learned anything lol i love your videos and how informative they are :)
I'll never shut up bout how beautiful the streets are, tysm Taylor, you put so much in to the making of these and it shows the great work🔥
As a French person, I love how accurate our culture was represented and explained. Creperies are amazing, one of my favourite traditional foods and custom. It's so lovely to discover and experience (new) cultures where you live. And we get to experience it in your videos too! My go to recently for coping with wanting to travel has been watching documentaries about different countries. There is a French documentary show/channel called "échappées belles" which follows a similar format to what you did in your video, they go to different towns/counties/countries and explore through a more local perspective. It is wonderful- it feels like your own take of this show and I'm living for it! As for next country, possibly Italy :) they also have very tasty food! Your gratin looked amazing by the way!
As a German living in HKG I would be very much interested in what you can find out about my culture here.
This is an amazing video.
I'm French and live in Australia, I wish there was that many good French shops/spots 😂 I learned to love my culture by leaving the country. This video makes me happy, it's nice to see someone appreciating a culture for real 🥰 and making such good efforts on pronunciation too ! Love your videos!
I grew up in Angers! It's weird and funny to see how French people manage to take their culture with them everywhere they go. Also, I wish we were as nice as our food XD Merci pour cette adorable vidéo 🇫🇷🥐
Not that weird, Hong Kong is the 3rd largest Finance capital in the world behind New York and London. There are people from all over the world there. It's very cosmopolitan.
As a French person (from Bordeaux 😉) it's nice to see that French culture is very appreciated in Asia and I hope it will continue for a long time ...🇨🇵🥖😁
Taylor, i LOVE the way you immerse yourself in these different cultures, not only educating yourself, but educating all of us as well. well done taylor! i love your channel!
This was so amazing! Thank you Tay! I love learning about different cultures and places, especially from someone as warm, talented, and lovely like you!
WuuHuu happy for a new video! and look at you being sponsored by Chanel 💕
She puts so much work in one video lately, you can really tell. And I enjoy this type of content a lot
Omg tay uploaded best thing everrrrrrr!!!♡♡
This is such a stylish video with the lipstick! I really like how you handled this sponsorship. It feels artsy somehow!
I agree, I love how seamlessly it fits into the video!
That little hop skip to get your beret, pure joy. So adorable.
Tell me I'm not the only one who's rewatching her videos. Taylor I love your videos and it's easy to feel the love, passion and commitment you put in each one of them. Thank you for giving us ,from a very far part of the world, the possibility to put the nose into these particular slices of life. Greetings from Italy (Apulia)♥♥♥.
Hi! I am French and I lived in Hong Kong for 3 years and the best croissants I have ever eaten were the ones from Pret A Manger in Admiralty, HK haha ! The bakeries they mentioned in your videos are super fancy 😄
I loved your video ;)
Thanks for the recommendation ☺️
Hi Charlyne, same opinion too! I tought I was the only one who think that. Thanks!
You've been doing great with these concepts recently Taylor. It's awsome to see how your content has expanded.
Honestly, every time you dig into a food//travel concept like this, it’s always your best stuff - it’s so professional and personal and unique - so different to anything else on CZcams and it feels of a much higher quality than any food or travel program I’ve seen on TV. You really excel in this --can’t tell you how many tomes I rewatched the HK food videos, like the rude service breakfast spot.
We are currently still in lockdown in Paris with all the restaurants closed... seeing you enjoy a coffee in terrace makes me nostalgic! I don't know if he has ever been translated in english but Daniel Pennac is an amazing French author, really funny.
Tay im loving these deep dive docu-series you're putting out, the direction you've been taking your channel is so exciting and cool ❤ keep it up!
Thank you so much! I really really enjoy making these for you to watch ❤️
What an amazing video!! I kept smiling the whole time and couldn't control myself even if I tried. Taylor knows how to deliver, always !
I wish I could speak French but after learning it in school for 11 years I still know nothing 🥲
I relate to this. My family even speaks it as their first language on my dad’s side 😶
French is freaking hard. It's all about rules, and exception to those rules. and verbs, urgh
@@the_laird Ikk the feminine and the masculine verbs 😭
11 years wow that’s still impressive ! It really is a difficult language to learn and let alone master.. If i wasn’t French I would not even try 😂
@@ttby1385 haha it is pretty difficult. But in Canada it's our second language so we have to learn it in school. But even after eleven years I still only know very little maybe I should study more haha 🥲.
It might seem random but would love to see something like this about Russian community :) Our culture is quite different I feel!
Let's take a moment to appreciate her fine work- videography, voice over and small interviews with all the shop owners. We need taylor to get a travel show asap. Love the video ,i never miss her vlogs.🥰
I love that you upload well-researched and creative videos! It really shows that you care about the quality of your videos, not quantity. A lot of my favorite content creators mostly post reaction videos nowadays..so glad you're still doing your thing and getting better at it. Refreshing.
Your recent videos showcasing the uniqueness of Hong Kong have been amazing! I love them so much! Thank you 😄
Is there a German community as well? Would be interesting 🧐 ☺️
Yes! Do a German one! I would love that.
Agreed! 😊
Or a Swiss one!
There is one, but it’s small. And not at all that interesting
Yes there is, though the Germans I know living here are mostly in banking, live on yachts in Gold Coast, and very open-minded to acupuncture. Living quite independent lives per say. The French in HK share their art and culture more I believe. There's even a French theatre community where you can take acting classes. 😊
I'm french and I was very honoured that you tried , love our culture and food ❤️ The beret, the black dress with the red lipstick looks so good on you, you were beautiful ❤️
Thanks Taylor. I’m currently catching up on the vlogs I’ve missed lately, and you are just such an awesome girl. You’re not afraid to try (food, fashion, travel, cook, being uncomfortable) to enjoy life and do work that’s meaningful on a platform where that’s very hard to do successfully, you are a constant. 💕💕
another AMAZING video!!! It's really great seeing a positive and uplifting side to hk amidst the turmoil politics is in at the moment. Thank you so much for highlighting these beautiful shops and people! I can't wait to see what other international community you cover on your channel!!
Seems crazy authentic to me (I’m French)! Congrats on your sponsor (Chanel, la classe 😉) and bravo to you and your team for the quality of your content 👏
A new Taylor R video always makes my day 😁✌️❤️ Thank you for all your amazing content!
Wonderful video, Taylor! So interesting and you very much made me want to visit every place. The wine seemed incredible and your dinner looked delicious.
I really LOVE that not only do you plug in these incredible shops and artists, but that you buy something from each place. It is so refreshing to see an influencer who doesnt take their fame for granted and actually make an effort to support their community!!! I ADORE your videos and how much effort and care you put into each one!
When i saw your sponsorship from Chanel i was like YES GIRL GET IT!!!! Im so proud of you and how far along your videos have come! Much love from a fellow Canadian🇨🇦🇨🇦
Isn't she so adorable? I love her so much!
This was such an excellent concept - so imaginative and brilliantly executed. I would love to see you explore Australian culture in Hong Kong!
This was incredible Taylor! Loved it. Super entertaining and informative. Ooo...that meal you cooked at the end. Looked so yummy!😋💕ty!
As a French living abroad, not being able to visit because of Covid, this video felt very comforting. I recognized several products, and I am impressed that they have them. They do not cheat! Thank you Taylor for sharing this elaborate and authentic content.
I'm French and those places look legit! It's awesome, I love discovering local communities in international cities. Thank you for this video
Hello Taylor, BIG THANK YOU for those winds of fresh and positives vibes, I needed that, a fellow Canadian Chantale😀🌸🌸🌸🌼

I agree, the positive vibes are greatly needed. Thank you, from another Canadian 💕
I love these documentary styled vlogs, it’s so nice and feels a bit like traveling! Its so relaxing to watch 😍
I loved this video! Great concept! I love when to talk to people and find out about their lives! 💖
Taylor, you’re videos are always top-notch ❤️The perfect blend between travel, culture, food, and education! I learned so much in this video, thank you!
My heart is fluttering ☺️ thank you
ah every video that taylor uploads is art! so beautiful! ♡
This video is so so fun and well done!!! I love learning about different cultures!
It was worth waiting almost a month for this video. So well made, interesting, educational. Taylor, you are THEE best youtuber for real!!! The content is so different from everyone else’s. LOVE🇺🇦
I was waiting for Taylor to post!! Her videos never dissapoint me
Tay I'm enjoying this kind of videos a lot goshh!! By the way i went to thrift stores for the first time and found some amazing stuff!! I wasn't brave enough to go for it before, but i got inspired by your video, thank you.
Taylor, I adore these! Your a natural tour guide!😍 Your vlogs are better then travel show's. TFS! I love the place's you take us, a little escape. Give Rosie all the loving she wants.😘🥰😘
Love this kind of content!!! You really put in so much thoughts and details in doing this video!
someone commented german and I agree! I would love to see that too
also, I love how the shop owners are so knowledgeable about the products they sell and the people that they are buying from! you can see that they truly care about what they do
30 seconds in and i hear my grandma's mothertongue (breton) 😭 she lost touch with her heritage and language now but it makes me so happy to hear some people speak it ~~
This was so much fun to watch! Great concept, super proud of your sponsorship and the people and businesses you chose were so nice!!!! Definitely gonna check some out when I’ll visit Hong Kong!
Taylor, this was such a good and informative video. Enjoyed it! Looking forward to visiting Hong Kong!
Taylor - your videos are so good now - very professional - as good as any quirky travel show out there. Fantastic editing!
I do think you could make a fascinating series out of this. The Japanese, Indian and Filipino communities deserve a look I think.......
As a French girl, it's so cool to see French communities abroad! I didn't know about Hong Kong's one. Those people's strories were truly insteresting and inspiring. I hope I too could travel to Hong Kong one day. It was so nice to watch ! ❤
For the Breakfast (petit déjeuner), I guess what they gave you was a mix between pain perdu (litteraly "lost bread") et Croque-monsieur ("crunch Mr") or a sweetened version of the Croque-monsieur.
Croque-monsieur is this block crispy toasted bread. It's a salty dish with some ham and cheese in it and sometimes with béchamel (bechamel) on top. If you add a fried egg on top, it becomes a Croque-madame ("crunch Mrs").
Special mention for the Tartiflette, It looked frickin' delicious! 🤤🤤🤤
Loved it! C’était si bien fait! Merci beaucoup Taylorrrrr!!!
LOVE this video! So informative and beautifully done! Great work!
im french and i went to hongkong in 2019 and loved it!!
hopefully i’ll be able to visit again when this pandemic ends
I've learnt so much watching this video, I had no idea this all existed there! As a Spaniard, I'm super curious about whether there's a Spanish community too! The lipsticks were super pretty also. Thank you for such an interesting and well-made video, Taylor! I hope you have a lovely day
Philippines has all the Spanish culture in Asia. It doesn't even feel like Asian, but more like a Latin American country. It used to be one of your colonies. They even speak a Spanish creole dialect called Chavacano there where 90% of the words are Spanish. Even as a Spaniard you could probably understand 50% of the Filipino language.
@@kayflip2233 Thank you for your comment and teaching me about this!!
Great great work Taylor !!! loved it and very interesting !
Congrats on the Chanel sponsorship, that's so cool!! ✨ Hearing the stories of those people and how they found their place was really wholesome and brought some tears to my eyes! I hope we can all soon go out again and explore places near and far. I really miss that a lot. So thanks for taking us all on a little exploration through your videos!
I love how you had a French Day in Hong Kong :) It is so good you can still like enjoy the culture and food where you live. I plan to have a Japanese day in London soon for my 30th Birthday this Month :)
Oh! I had no idea the French community in Hong Kong was the biggest French community in Asia! Your French accent is so sweet by the way! 🥐🥐🥐
ya.rich Frenchman there for low tax
Great video!!!! 🙌💕 your cooking omg 😋😁 also love your outfit too ☺️
I love Hong Kong. Paris and then Hong Kong are my two favorite cities. So sophisticated. Moscow is stunning also. Very classy.
love your outfit in this one!

Thank you ❤️
@@Taylor_R oh my! been watching you for years but still never expected to see a reply from you! 😸

All the lovely amazing made me super hungry!! and your cooking looks AWESOME, Tay💕
I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE SECOND of this video, amazing job!! Let's stop pretending we all don't want to be French from time to time :D
