I always thought Prequels are the most 'Star Wars' - ish movies. OT had the lack of technology so it is much more simple when it comes to World building. Sequels are just somehow 'different'. Sometimes there is the 'Star Wars feeling', but sometimes it just looks out of this universe.

The original trilogy did not lack in world building lmao. This is such a strange criticism I hear. It seems like all prequel fans care about is lore and world building. That doesn’t make a story good, not in the slightest, it’s just a bonus. The Original Trilogy laid out all of the world building, they just didn’t show you all of it. And since most people lack the mental fortitude to connect the dots it goes over peoples heads. The original trilogy introduced the fucking force, lightsabers, The Jedi order, Sith, the SW underworld, the clone wars, Anakin’s mysterious past, force ghosts, force powers. The original trilogy literally laid out all of that shit. Everything fundamental about Star Wars. The prequels just elaborated on it. Don’t tell me about this world building shit, the OT built everything. Everything the prequels did stands on the shoulders of the OT. In fact if you really think about it, the prequels are just lore for the original trilogy.

Lucas didn't sell Lucasfilm, because of the prequel hate, since right after the prequels he started working on TCW. He sold it because he just got remarried and wanted to spend more time with his family.

It’s not the best Star Wars movie (that goes to return of the Jedi) but it’s the best prequel. And it’s really underrated it’s definitely the 2nd best Star Wars movie

Return of the Jedi is about as good as Kathleen Kennedy, which isn't saying much.

Starts off with 2 assassination attempts.
Speeder chase.
Lack of jar jar because of the hate.
Reveal of Jango fett who got to do more than boba did in 2 movies.
Bobba Fett origin.
Origin of the clone wars talked about in the original movie (a new hope).
First battle of the clone wars.
Reveal of count douku.
First time seeing yoda wield a lightsaber AND fight.
Anakin killing the sand people(his first turn to the dark side)
And the loss of his arm (parallel to Luke in his second movie)
First time you see more than 3 lightsabers on screen at one time (double bladed is one weapon)
The entire arena scene.
The jango obiwan space battle.
The marriage of Anakin and Padme.
C3po gets his first outer body? Armor? Shell?
The first purple lightsaber.
Obi gets his beard.
Attack of the clones has so many great things that hit you so fast and some shitty things sprinkled in between that it’s hard to notice.
You know, the more you think about the prequels the better they get. The more you think about the sequels, the worse they get.

11:55 THIS. This right here is one of the main reasons I hate the sequels. The alien designs are absolutely horrific, they all look like ugly fat monsters. It feels so disconnected from the previous movies. Rogue One, Solo and Mandalorian all did a great job with the aliens but I don't understand why they had to create such horrible looking aliens for the sequel trilogy.

jabba throws his enemies into a pit for 1) personal pleasure 2) boredom 3) to make an example because he is like a powerfull drug lord. ALSO jabba is in control of the situation (at least in his mind) because they are his prisoners already AND have nowhere to go.
the attempts on padmes life are executed by an assassin. that is completely different and should be done not for spectacle but with efficiency and sufficient certainty.

Anakin went to see his mother ONLY when he got his first alone assignment. Jedi and Obi Wan would stopped him. When he got assignment to protect Padme, he got free time to see what is happening. Also jedi actively taught him to forget about his mother
