When using muriatic acid. Please be in an open ventilated area. You can also use 50/50 water and bleach in a spray bottle if you don’t have the acid.

Sorry, you started working on the back of the mirror, and at the end paint it with gold, why? I thought one step before painting gold was completely done.
How did you paint it completely to gold and then change it to antique?

I have a mirror that I stripped. It has a red back and when I stripped it, it wasn't like yours. I did hear you say something about it being made in China? Mine didn't say that on it. It had American writing on it. Like an American company name. Anyway I wish I could post a picture of what has happened to the mirror and if it's salvageable, fingers crossed. Do you have an email that I can send you a picture?
