      Yeah, Ursaluna sounds extremely good against stall. Guts boosted Tera Normal Facade 2HKO's even bulky resists like Corviknight and Garganacl, and Dondozo also gets 2HKO'd. Imprison+transform is stallbreaking tactic that comes from Balanced Hackmons.
    Basically it runs transform+imprison+infestation/block+utility move (usually knock off or recovery). You first trap the opponent with infestation/block. Second, you use imprison. Third, you use transform. The opponent now cannot use any move bc imprison will have locked out all their move now that you have transformed into them. Now you can use their utility move while they die from struggle+infestation damage, though you may need to put in an attack or two to finish them off.
    This set has seen quite a lot of usage in BH, but also in gen8 Almost Any Abilities on magic bounce/prankster Mew. It must be noted that it still technically works in OU with mew, but you are very vulnerable to status and you must keep your life orb at all cost (imprison+knock off will help with that)
    Warning: this is a gimmick. This strategy is not meta outside of Balance Hackmons.

    Hey guys i recommend You My favorite way to deal with stall use mix attacker dragapult with life orb: dragón darts for Blissey and Clodsire, Will o wisp or t-wave for dondonzo, Hex for Gliscor and Dondonzo if its burned or sleept and the fourth option can be whatever you like Substitute if they use a status move, Fire blast for Kingambit, dragon dance, Draco meteor You choose or U-turn for a safe switch.

  • @stallempir3
    @stallempir3 Před 3 měsíci +40

    stall player here: like freezai said, many stall cores are designed to cover many of the ideas, especially ghold and future sight. in my opinion, the best way to beat stall is to either target the terastalization of the stall team (like carry two threats that would require terastalization like ogerpon + psyshock hatt) or to power through the knock off absorbers. While clef/gliscor/hydrapple may stop knock off, they are either scared out(gliscor and hydra with ice) or can be overwhelmed/on the back foot consistently(clefable)
    Also, future sight aint it. completely irrelevant with the double unaware core. protect blissey completely destroys it, and if you want to use it to beat stall, you need something else that requires tera AND the stall team needs to rely on tera to beat fsight.

      More experienced stall player here, this man is speaking out their a**, gholdengo and future sight are both very capable of breaking stall unless you literally are too braindead to know how applying pressure to a single mon throughout a game will break it down and get a foot in the door.

    • @stallempir3
      @stallempir3 Před 3 měsíci +4

      @@sablesalt calm mind blissey completely shuts down gholdengo. only problem that comes from gholdengo is knock off + hazards, which can be stopped by gliscor/clef/steel mola (if you're desperate) Future sight can be shut down by a host of options: protect blissey, and basically any mon with tera steel: pex, mola, even physdef clef. Yes, gholdnego and future sight can help bust a team, stall teams are prepared for it and you still need to target the tera.

  • @KitsuraASMR
    @KitsuraASMR Před 2 měsíci

    I play exclusively stall so I have some thought on the video.
    Dondozo usually can run a curse set which counters the kinggambit set, this complements nicely with its kit since it helps out vs physical walls anyway.
    Tbh I think the vast majority of meta teams use knock off and that’s why I tend to run leftovers on my Pokemon and corviknight which is the better answer vs great tusk in most case.
    Alolamola is difficult to use with dozo because they have the same typing and vulnerable to the same threats(ogerpon).
    Clod is actually decent into goldengho if you run an earthquake set, you just have to pop the balloon first, Chansey also doesn’t need to run calm mind since shadow ball is also fine(also why I avoid seismic toss) this makes it better vs dragapult as well. The calm mind addition imo is usually because in the case you lose clod or it has a bad matchup into a certain special attack you can use calm mind chansey as a soft “unaware” to fill the gap.
    Stall is bad in this gen and anyone who loses to it is honestly building their teams wrong. There is no stall core that doesn’t lose to at least one common wall breaker so you usually will get rolled if the person you’re vs has a braincells. It just shits on bad players who just want to play hyper offense with no utility in their team.

    I think the most consistent way to beat stall teams is just outplaying them, no matter what you do you can't prepare for every style team , but you can adapt while in battle, throw one or two attacks, see how they react and counter attack, focus on defeating a key pokemon and then the entire team falls apart, there's not tera fairy calyrex threatening to sweep you from turn one if you don't react, so is easier to actually outplay them

    Why is it that new or lower level players have so many problems with stall?
    If you actually played stall you'd realize it can be tough and VERY matchup dependant. Some games will be easy but others you'll just be screwed even if you're a really good player. Stall is not a hard archetype to beat.

    Problem is a lotta anti stall mons (wall breakers) can be pretty terrible against fast offensive teams (expect of course stuff like Gking and gold) like I sometimes use trapping moves like fire spin dnite which can catch stall off guard but that has 0 use Vs offense, stall creates a super annoying opportunity cost in team building

    I technically love the outlasting-playstyle. It's my favorite kind of game to play, to just outlast my opponent until I win. But the problem is - it's also intrinsically very annoying to play against, and opponents can get very irritated. So I don't want to play that kind of style in competitive pokemon, because I want to have a good time, not ruin someone else's enjoyment... Kind of unfortunate
