My personal problem with High-/Top Tier is, that it feels less like it's meant to be played. The Gameplay just becomes dull with so many advanced tanks. The feeling that Tank Combat gave until the early prototypes of modern vehicles (Leo 2K, XM-1...) Is gone for me
I and many other veteran players were strongly against the introduction of modern tanks and supersonic jets in 2017 because I knew it would add so many layers of complexity to the game and the core of the game which is designed for WW2 cobat simply wouldn't hold up. My suspicions were correct, and Gaijin knew this very well, which is why they were very hesitant to add anything past the Korean War for many years. Greed got the better of them and they chose attracting new players over actually improving gameplay. Ever since ATGMs, supersonics and helicopters were added to the game, it has been a complete shitshow in one way or another
I hate this sentiment, gaijin could have very easily went down the modern path like have already have, and in fact they are very close to a genuinely fun experience if they would simply iron out vehicle inconveniences at top tier. I think the problem goes both ways, on one hand as you said being spammed with "When do we get X" and on the other hand if they run out of content they´d have to work on the internals of the game e.g. QoL updates that cost money and dont generate money (Gj way of thinking not mine). Thus its easier to spam copy paste TT´s, P2W Top Tier stuff and or broken Vehicles. Another aspect is that the playerbase has shifted from those that care about the game and ask for reasonable stuff to a playerbase that cries for so long until something happens in their way (or as referred to by some the COD-kiddies). Prime example is the recent patch that narrowed several maps down to a small funnel due to people crying they get killed from "unfair" spots. Admittedly some were a tad bit unfair but on the other hand every ape with a single braincell knew the spots and how to approach them. In short the game should´ve stopped at the Korean war temporarily to fix basic QoL issues of the game and then continue into the modern time with a plan how to make it work.

They can add the DU and its literally does nothing. No one shoots at the Abrams turret cheeks or hull anyways as those can stop your dart. Slap DU on it and its the usual business at the turret ring.
First option is gaijin starts basing tanks performance in game based of speculative data available online which are not cross referenced or reliable sources which they currently deem nessecary. This has advantages: it means vehicles will perform more comparable to what the general tank enthusiast believes or reads online. Perhaps it will also reduce document leaking as everyone is aware we are approaching speculative territory and not realism. The disadvantage: It will always be a 2-way street, if someone believes a vehicle is underperforming or overperforming they will likely still be inclined to leak a classified document to prove the speculative sources used are wrong. Additionally being realistic as possible is WTs most prominent selling point, and using speculative data is a slippery slope to becoming more like WoT. The debate between which nations aren't portrayed accurately or what's weaker than it should be will always be constant. Alas I have a solution, a resolve perhaps. That gaijin starts using classified document information as it gets leaked.
If they want to refuse to use the the DU insert on the SEPv2 because of lack of solid information, fine. What you cannot refuse is the lack of a spall liner. They’re basing it entirely off of photos of the interior not having an exposed liner yet the Abrams has always had a spall liner built in to the hull and turret walls. They also said that the M829A3 would not help the vehicles adequately combat modern forms of ERA which insane since it was designed to penetrate the hull of a T-90 through the Kontact-5 ERA. The world has known this for the last decade yet they say no. Also now seeing the photos of the T-90M hull with the dart hole through its UFP kind of shows that.
The thing that pisses me off about the spall liner thing is that spall liners have been a standard issue requirement since the end of WWII. Even later model Shermans had spall liners when people noticed they were taking artillery losses from nearby hits that left the tank seemingly fine but injured/killed the crew. Most US combat vehicles don't use the old method of spraying a rubberized coating on the interior to prevent spalling. That's WWII era tech.
Because they can fathom it being implemented better than how shitty the russians do. Nobody has era that can defeat kenetics except russia because its infused with stalin's farts!
The Ariete is not the best it could be. The vehicle is completely missing composite armour in the hull, which many sources explicitly state it does have, but for some reason, Gaijin just gives it spaced armour.
The Swedish trials are now causing way to much headache for us in the French community. The Leclerc presented was an early production vehicle, but it wasn't a service vehicle. France doesn't even use the Leclerc that was sent to Sweden because it didn't meet the defense standards requested. Meanwhile they're keeping the 6 second reload because of a single second hand source they trust above over a dozen others that states the reload rate can be increased.
Long time Britain main, I’m glad that they’re getting more attention with the Abrams mains complaining. I just love that gaijin thinks the mantlet armour is hollow on the Challenger 2.
Games should still be balanced. We're not even asking for the abrams to steamroll other vehicles like they did irl, we just want the game to be fun for both teams
The Main issue people dont see these days while playing war thunder is that those Tanks/Jets are STILL IN SERVICE and have limited information on them. Yes you can post Classified info, but despite all your efforts to send Bug reports as Suggestions (or as I like to say complaining reports) the designe of the tank is what dictates the most amout of performance in game, the Abrams is an example where it despite getting the DU armor, your Neck is still a easy to get weak spot. The Same cant be said about the Leopards of all kind as those are pretty much fine even without the Spall liner but they get it anyways because they Leopard isnt strong enough. Everyone shit themself when seen the T-90M get spall liner only for them to realise how they cant kill one, jokes on you the Leopard's are equally stupid with luck when it comes to trap shots and side on. The T-90M in game after getting it still can die from the front where everyone knows how to shoot each and every T-Series tank, and I dont even bush up my tank like the Leopards/Abrams do. As well as my Challenger tanks that I have countless of. I am to a point where your own Strategy/Position works better then armour, but even then the armour and spall liner cant save you forever. It makes the Leopard Main both German/Swedish and Abrams players look more like crying baby's that cant get the same toys the Soviets/Russian get. Keep in mind those tanks still are in service, you eventually WILL risk the game if a scandal would happen that lead to tanks been destroyed in real life because of War Thunder that didnt saw a Classified info bypass in game. In the End the Abrams isnt Bad,Neither is the Leopard,Challenger and T-Series of tanks. Its YOU who is bad and using them and crying about it (Yes the blame goes to players and they skill issue)
Gaijin has never cared about whats "possible" for a manually loading crew irl, they only use irl reload rates for autoloaders. The manual loading at top tier is one of the few areas that gaijin changes for balance purposes. The abrams buff is in response to absolutely atrocious U.S winrates at top tier because of everybody else getting mbts with much better armor values due to the lack of sufficient primary or secondary sources that show the exact improvements in DU inserts in the hull or turret cheeks.
warthunder is extremely innacurate in modelling vehicles, they keep making eastern tanks better than they were IRL and western tanks weaker. Though they are surprisingly consistent with that
I dont care about 100% historical accuracy, WT is not a simulator, we dont even have any sort of realistic physics in the game.I think Abrams is good enough with its 5 seconds reload buff, which is frikin huge. The Challengers can only fire 4 shells with that reload, while being slow as fuck and having zero armor to show for its weight. All this muh abrams crying is a childs show.
War thunder is a trash game in general. Then when you tell the truth both game devs and players cry and pout when you tell the truth. After playing for 3 years. I have seen it's not worth my time grinding to top tier.
Remember during that modern tank event the leopard could not be penned from the front or almost anywhere? Yea that’s how that tank should be in game lol I’m tired of this Russian fantasy garbage
If youre gonna complain, at least compare it to an actually nerfed tank, like the Ariete and Leclerc Wehraboos and Commieboos turn the balance into shit by pretending German and Russian engineering isnt heavily flawed and is decades beyond anyone

In short the game should´ve stopped at the Korean war temporarily to fix basic QoL issues of the game and then continue into the modern time with a plan how to make it work.
i can agree with this@@venusflytrap2622
Oh god i remember that and one of the Q&As someone brought it up and the admin or whoever was responding was ADAMENT there would never be anything premium at the max or near max tier@@strf90105
Trickster when you show him public information that clearly shows the Abrams contains an integrated kevlar spall liners:🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
“Rank 8 tanks” but it says Rank IX
You put rank 9 and said rank 8 😅
Gaijin: The M1 never got better armor, it just got heavier from having too much holiday food
They can add the DU and its literally does nothing. No one shoots at the Abrams turret cheeks or hull anyways as those can stop your dart.
Slap DU on it and its the usual business at the turret ring.
people do shoot the LFP and DU inserts in there would remove that weak spot
“My source” scene was funny as hell.
IX is 9 VIII is 8
Thats a nice argument Gijian, why dont you back it up with a source
Gaijin is consistent on being inconsistent.
The Abrams is so bad its funny
Long time Britain main, I’m glad that they’re getting more attention with the Abrams mains complaining. I just love that gaijin thinks the mantlet armour is hollow on the Challenger 2.
Same with the M1's
@@OkamiiSenpai the M1 mantlet is much thicker. The Challenger 1 mantlet is 30mm thick.
Are you the DoctorMD that is filipino??? I may be your friend in game if that is you.
Type 10 can cycle its rounds in 2 seconds, reload in game is 4
Wow I can't believe I just found this channel
Its a game not an exact simulator used to train soldiers IRL
Let's look at some solid undeniable numbers American top tier has a 43% winrate..... enough said
ROAD MAP LOL.
Untill tier 4 game was awesome. After that it is just............
No one need to play modern tanks in wt. Its just a offer. As a 12.0 Player I also enjoy lower Brs.
But why only the abrams the leopard would literally have the same Reload with an ace crew
bcs gajgin wants money for ACE crews
Gaijin has never cared about whats "possible" for a manually loading crew irl, they only use irl reload rates for autoloaders. The manual loading at top tier is one of the few areas that gaijin changes for balance purposes. The abrams buff is in response to absolutely atrocious U.S winrates at top tier because of everybody else getting mbts with much better armor values due to the lack of sufficient primary or secondary sources that show the exact improvements in DU inserts in the hull or turret cheeks.
@@Wcwhitelaw making reload realistic would suck for both manual and autoloader tanks
Gaijin's problem is that I play France and need 25 years to reach modern tanks
oh god 2017
Thats why i just use m18
warthunder is extremely innacurate in modelling vehicles, they keep making eastern tanks better than they were IRL and western tanks weaker. Though they are surprisingly consistent with that
IX means 9 not 8 😭
I dont care about 100% historical accuracy, WT is not a simulator, we dont even have any sort of realistic physics in the game.I think Abrams is good enough with its 5 seconds reload buff, which is frikin huge. The Challengers can only fire 4 shells with that reload, while being slow as fuck and having zero armor to show for its weight. All this muh abrams crying is a childs show.
if they want realistic abrams they should buy GHPC (which IS a simulator for modern MBT's) with real engagement scenarios
War thunder is a trash game in general. Then when you tell the truth both game devs and players cry and pout when you tell the truth. After playing for 3 years. I have seen it's not worth my time grinding to top tier.
Abrams' players need to cope harder.
See, the real issue is that amerisharts think that the Abrams isn't a shit tank.
Cope and seeth tankie
American mains stop coping
Remember during that modern tank event the leopard could not be penned from the front or almost anywhere? Yea that’s how that tank should be in game lol I’m tired of this Russian fantasy garbage
Cry
That was when Russian tanks weren't using Svinets. Literally the Leopard 2 is King of Top Tier still. Don't know what your crying about.
If youre gonna complain, at least compare it to an actually nerfed tank, like the Ariete and Leclerc
Wehraboos and Commieboos turn the balance into shit by pretending German and Russian engineering isnt heavily flawed and is decades beyond anyone
