Any who... Back from the dead to bring you this, it's been far too long so Merry Christmas, I give you this original short in the meantime that it might've took longer then it should have. but don't worry this one is a separate work on what's being actually done, so look forward to this month when the BIG Project gets finished and showcased later, but for those who stick around after the passed 3 months, thanks again and Happy Holidays

Just because they don’t have bones doesn’t mean they don’t have a nervous system, which, you know, senses pain basically. Also they can walk and stuff without bones probably because they can adjust the liquid pressure in their bodies to do things like support their weight and hold their shape like an endoskeleton normally would. Also, since their bodies are full of fluids which they use to hold their shape, this is why inklings explode into a pile of “ink” when they are shot in the face, or run over by (a total scrub who uses) a roller. Just think about that. Ink is their bodily fluids. You’re shooting each other in the face with your own blood.......

I don't believe so, as the sunken scrolls in the first game show a diagram of the body of a girl inkling. It shows no skeleton at all, just ink/blood and an ink sac.
Let us not forget the primary drawback to their ink-based biology, however: since ink comprises so much of the Inkling body, complete immersion in water will rapidly dilute and ultimately dissolve them. So that boy's comment about "swimming the deepest depths of the ocean?" Yeah, not happening.

'Aight, it's implied that their bodies are liquid (which allows them to shapeshift, move through grates, etc), so it makes sense that if they fall into water they melt and dilute (lovely)
However, they still have internal organs (at least in humanoid form) and hydration is most likely a must, so they probably can drink water just fine in safe ammounts

in the story mode there is one level where you can jump off a tall tower after you super jump to the top. you dont take damage at all

LuigiCore d octopuses and squids both have no bones (BUUUUUT SQUIDS HAVE ONE BONE THAT IS TEETH) they move with their muscles and insects also don't have bones, they have a really hard shell inside (yes I know we can smash an insect easily but we're like 100 times bigger than them)
