  • 40.5 Acres for $85K!
    Located in Lakehead, CA Approx. GPS: 40.938905 -122.431399
    Really sweet property! Easy entrance and creek access.
    Four parcels being sold together that has about 1/2 mile of Dog Creek running through them. This creek is usually year round and known to bare gold. Adjoins over 91,000 acres of National Forest Land on 3 sides. Only 30 minutes from Redding, CA and very close to Lake Shasta. Would make for a great get-away or homesite with easy I-5 access. Most of the property is down sloping to the creek or up sloping after the creek. Has lots of privacy due to heavy tree and foliage cover. Has a 10X10 shed and a good spot to park near the shed. Elevation is about 1,300 feet. Zoned RR, Rural Residential. Owner financing is not available.

    I have property up there. Absolutely amazing and beautiful area! This property location is a pretty remote area for groceries. You'd have to drive into Redding. Other problem is, if you are not living there full time, you have a high probability of tweekers breaking in and stealing your stuff. Happened to me 4 years ago. But talk about beautiful land- it is spectacular.

    • @MountainValleyRealEstate

      The creek gets higher during the winter as it always has. Floods are not common here like in Texas or Florida. No ocean nearby. If a fire comes though, then the property could burn just like anywhere else.

    • @joelschmierer3544
      @joelschmierer3544 Před 7 dny

      those trees with oils can burn more readily. but california's policies are why forests fires these days are dangerously large, because they prevent all small fires from occurring, which allows large amounts of dead vegetation to pile up, which is why the largest fires in california history have been recently happening, when these large dead piles of dead vegetation burn very large and very hot. safely burning dead vegatation on your property can help prevent big fires. small fires are good as they clean up the small amounts of dead vegetation to prevent big fires from occurring, and they allow animals time to escape small fires, these small fires quickly burn dry grass and stuff close to the ground floor, and these fires aren't big enough to climb trees or penetrate tree bark, unlike big fires

Woke up one morning and looked out window and there was this white stuff covering everything. Cold too, garage was 18F. Then the power went out for a few hours and didn’t have any heat. This was the same time parts of Texas went without electricity for an extended time, I think a couple of weeks. Come summer, it was hot and humid and had to run the AC continuously. So, what would do if there was an extended grid down situation and didn’t have heat. So, after 8-months, we decided to move to California Central Coast. One mile from the beach and average annual daytime temperature is 68F. It will be three years this October. Only need heat from late November to mid-February, and no more shoveling the stupid cold white stuff. Nothing beats coastal living.

    No thank you, nice property, wouldn't want to be by the freeway at all and definitely would not buy anything in california.

      We absolutely don’t want you here please stay as far away as possible, don’t visit, don’t look at us on a map. You can say thanks because your poor donor state probably gets money from us here in California. Just say yanks and move along.

    Always interesting watching a guy that knows nothing about gold mining trying to find gold, do you want to find some gold? if there’s any gold it would’ve been where that raft was there was some big rocks there look right behind those rocks there is any gold in the creek. that’s where it would be. Or a good place to look.

      Tell me how I know you vacation in CA. The only people who say they don’t want to live in CA are people who live in fly over nation
