A backstop to the backstop to the backstop would sort out all of this!
A reasonable person Bravo
Ha ha ha!
Ireland (Republic) and the NI (UK) have had 20 years of peace. They are different countries. There is a border, however invisible or frictionless it is at the moment, there is different currency, tax and laws. The people on either side of the border have shown they can live in peace, and the other side are not so bad after all. Providing its not armed checkpoints, any small change in border control should not "restart" the troubles. The warnings about "damaging the peace process" and "restarting the troubles" is simply policital posturing and mischief. Why would the either side want to start violence again. The hard line Irish republicans are using Brexit, and the NI border issue as a way to progess their push for Irish reunification. Ireland will eventually unify (and in my opinion thats ok if that is what the all the people want) but it won't happen for a while yet, and the republicans are driving a wedge betweent the UK and themselves with their current actions and words.
Sein fein for all their admirable passion are hard liners and their logic and actions are based on negative emotions implanted over decades of violence and retribution (from both sides).
The EU is doing its best to defeat Brexit and they are using the NI border issue and Sein Feins passion as a tool hinder the process. The EU cares nothing about Ireland, except as a pressure point for the UK, and the Irish have fallen for their trick hook line and sinker.
The Good Friday says there CANNOT be different economic rules between the two sides. N Ireland voted to remain , so this whole shit show is due to the death spiral of the old empire
@@jacobjorgenson9285 no it did not. Please either retract your false statement or provide a reference from the GFA that supports your claim.
As for imperialism, don't make me laugh. If anyone is guilty of imperialism in this situation it is the EU in their disgraceful attempt to use the threat of terrorism to hive off a part of the UK and set laws for it without any representation.
Jonathan When did the UK start needing their wet nappy changed every few hours? That’s not how I remember this once proud nation. The UK came limbering into the EU when the nation was FAILING, and twice France blocked the entry. The only one here who wishes too dictate the laws are the UK upon leaving the EU. The EU are non changed, the hookah is wet nappy UK who’s sensible leaders realise it will be a FUCKING catastrophe for the UK. The UK Occupation in N Ireland is almost over, soon Scotland leaves, but hey, you’ll stall, have Whales and the Falklands
blah blah blah nonsense
