Show Synopsis: "Suits" delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Megan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

The scene with Rachel showcased why Harvey should represent Mike in my opinion... Harvey has the ability to completely shut off his emotion in the court and is willing to brutally humiliate someone on the stand with no remorse at all in order to win. This proved useful when cross-examining Trevor in the real trial. Loved this time period in the show!
Funny enough, harvey representing mike got them into a worse situation later😂
@@maxgee22
Nah not really.
He still ended up representing himself when it was needed without any downside.
@@jordy6144-d9t i think the ‘without any downside’ part is very based off the plot if you get what i mean😂😂 theyd have a downside in the real world
So true on Harvey is able to complete shut off his emotion. Like he said, "I'm not the guy that gives you a hug when you're scared. I'm the guy that wins when you need it the most."
@@maxgee22 How? The Jury was going to declare him not guilty, it was Mike that couldnt trust Harvey enough to see it play out, and Im sure Gibbs somehow knew of the Jurys decision before he did.

As mean as Harvey seemed, he 110% proved Mike should let him represent him. He has no problem tearing in to a witness to make them break, and as cruel as that can be, that's what you want on your side when your life is on the line.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯.
The way he broke down Trevor in the court, Mike would not be able to do that
What Mike do not understand is, it's not a trial of his lawyerness, it's a trial of Harvey's integrity. And he is representing himself.
that is a brilliant observation
Quite true
Mind blown
How so?
@@1001LeoMessi cause Harvey brought him in knowing the situation

I came here to find this comment :)
I mean, despite the fact that we like these characters: When Harvey, Donna, Rachel, Louis, and Jessica wake up in the morning…they are ALL LYING!- even though it’s to protect Mike, and save themselves, each other, and the jobs of everyone at the firm. And each person that “found out” about Mike, just made the lie BIGGER, and higher-stakes
It went from a kid conning his way into a job at a law firm, all the way to- if Mike goes down, EVERYONE goes down😂
The cases he even KNEW about, get overturned, criminals would go free.
Looking back, Harvey did the same thing to accuse Trevor lying as just like he did here to Rachel.
Harvey is true to himself
I've watched this season many many times, I've even lost count. I get goosebumps every time. Suits was incredible man. The acting, everything was spot on. In fact let me go rewatch seasons 1-6.
So i've never watched it but i want to start so can i ask, whats wrong with the show after season 6?
@@lharmy Oh nothings wrong. Just one of my favorite cast members leaves after season 6. But the shows great! You go right ahead and start!
@@User-uq1pj 😢 who leaves?

Gabriel Macht will always be remembered for absolutely killing his role as Harvey...I think being a not so successful leading man in Hollywood is almost a pre requisite for killing it on TV dramas.
Jessica is the baddest of 'em all , she injects the intrigue on the show
Agreed
I realized that my favorite thing about the character is that Gina Torres acts with her eyes better than anyone else on the show. She can carry a scene with just a gaze
Honestly, Harvey is my favorite character, but Jessica is a badass in her own right. I also always thought that Harvey and Jessica complemented each other very well.
She was horrible and only put in that role because she is a black female hency why her spin off died a quick death. Of all the main characters, she was the worst actor

"i get its, its a fake, just like you" LOL
Mike being childish here, he didn't try to prepare for the trial, he just wanted to beat Harvey
Not at all. He didn’t wanted to go to jail without fighting for himself.
Plus even Harvey knew that Mike should have defend himself from the get go
harvey was the child here, he made up some stuff just to beat mike, yet his goal was to prepare him for gibbs to ‘get him ready’ when gibbs would never bring up fake evidence. and when mike played harveys game he got annoyed about it
@@maxgee22 it was not to get him ready, it was to convince him to let harvey represent him.
And what if she does pull out fabricated evidence. Just once
@@maxgee22 be on time for interview 😂
As uncalled for as that Cheating call was, Harvey is right, the second he goes into a real trial, they will question the validity of the marriage, and the cheating thing will be brought up anyway
@Daredevil He says that but the whole point of the mock trial was to prep Mike to represent himself, if Anita was successful in putting Rachel on the stand it would have been a slam dunk.
Harvey is THE true trial lawyer on the show. Incredible.
3:24 - 4:00 .....The One of the Best scene in whole series...!!
Simply put, Mike plays checkers and is learning chess while Harvey can play checkers and play chess masterfully at the same time.
I think that entire room doesn't understand how much this actually hurt Harvey having to say that stuff.
As Jessica said to Harvey about Mike "Our little baby has all grown up." !
Nah Donna said that. S431
@@michaeljamesross3705 it was jessica in season 1 or 2. I think mike's first pro bono case
Harvey came up with that way out just off the top of his head! Unreal that’s why he’s the best 🤩🤩
Mike played the odds. Harvey played the man.
Mike Ross should’ve called Saul.
When I went to college, during lectures they didn't take attendance, because college sees students as adults, but for tutorials they took attendance, you had to be there for group work etc. I don't get the argument that just to turn up for tests is sufficient. When I was at college was one guy in our year, he was so intelligent bless him, so smart, but he worked very hard, he still studied very hard, he still went to every lecture.
Mike should have said "sure lets bring up people from harvard and have them confirm whether they signed that affadavit." Instant mistrial and disbarment for the prosecutor.
Plot armor
But they'll also say, they don't know Mike nor have ever seen him
@@kushalnitnaware thats not the question. The question is did you sign this affadavit?
@@joelsletten3386 Anita gibbs can do it
Bruh Harvey brought her to the stand to check the “validity of the marriage.” While doing that he manage to call her a liar, dillusional, and a cheater!!! Everything he said about her was in the form of a question. 😂😂🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
This is stretching suspension of disbelief to the max. “We (the entire class of (whatever year) collectively come forward to swear…” but Mike has already said (in scene) he went up only for tests, so his class/yearmates probably wouldn’t know him.
Harvey is betting HEAVILY on Mike’s insecurity to win this. Because honestly, an entire class of Harvard students is going to say-without legal bs involved-that they have all never heard of one man? Someone is going to be the one who says, “Yeah, Mike! We weren’t friends but we like, nodded to each other on the quad. Seemed like a chill guy, to be honest.”
Yeah, we all know Mike lied-it’s the whole premise of the show. But now the opposition is trying to prove it and can’t. Mike is wiggling around it in this scene.
All Harvey had to do was say "Mike" didn't bring one witness to the stand from that graduating class. Does "Mike" not know a single person from his graduating class? That will be hard to believe. Not one friend.
@@koeber99 Did you miss the part where Mike said he never went to class and only showed up for tests?
I haven't watched the show but wonk the school records say he wasn't a student?
No one under oath is going to say they knew Mike, that's a crime itself. Yeah sure in conversation, someone may pretend like they knew the person if they aren't sure just to save face. Most people if they aren't sure on the stand, under oath, is gonna be like, "I do not recognize this Mike."
Mock trials are so funny. They use it to throw each other under the bus and I think it’s comical.
not to mention all the other lawyers standing around and watching instead of…working.
@@spencerpencer it’s literally “water-cooler talk”, with a mix of lawyer-like rap battle. Genius!
What episodes is this ?
@@benjaminappiah3937 season 5, ep 15 I think. Check the description. It’s there, I just think I read it wrong.
Don't play the case, play the man. Exactly what Harvey did
The innate problem is that Harvey is playing Gibbs. Harvey's bias and his unique understanding of relationships. Gibbs wouldn't know anything about Logan Sanders
But she could… That is exactly Harvey’s point
In reality you dont know what she doesnt know. Until you are sure , you have to prepare all front. To do that, you have to look like harvey.
This is what he is showing him. He will look like a child throwing a tantrum
@@aurelienfroment3578 yeah but Logan could approach Gibbs to get the revenge on Mike that was still possible
Harvey knows that Mike is stubborn so what he was doing was doing everything in his power to prove to him that he's his best shot at winning. All because he actually CARES about Mike.
Man, Harvey is tough. He really dug out his inner prosecutor for this one.
4:30 Of course those "people" wouldn't know Mike if he only went out for tests
i think Harvey should have use the transcript of all the class he took. and slowly go to each one by one and say that none of these classes or teacher know who mike is. and those classes are smaller compare to Lecture class where everyone takes note.
i think that since Harvey never said anything to Rachel about her cheating on Mike.....he gave her a piece of his mind.
tbh he did once clarify he lost some respect for her
ngl, Mike did it like a pro, but Harvey is way up another league.. Experience beats knowledge 90% of the time
He’s impossible to box in 😭
I guess you needed some extra tutoring, huh... Single. Greatest. Roast. Ever.......
Of all the cases and legal wars Harvey had over the entire series I can’t believe he didn’t get the chance to face off with Elliot Stemple and win back his painting. 🤔
Didn't Donna get it back in the final season?
4:40 Why would you need to call up everyone at Harvard. Just call up 1 person and prove that the document is a fake. Even if they say that you were never there it's a lot less damning than the fact that the prosecution forged evidence.
Just call in his teachers, most all of them keep physical grade books. I still have mine from when I taught, 10 years after the fact.
I think it was more as way to say to mike “you can’t show 1 person who can say u went to harvard”, but you’re right about knowing the document was fake
Well that is the point of a “mock trial” in the show. Harvey is trying to prove to mike what could show up in actual. If it was an actual trial, it wouldn’t be forged
exactly once you show that document is fake its a mistrial and the prosecutor is probably disbarred.
Mock Trials Are awesome...
aww, they act made because they love each other like true bros
In earlier season (s02), there was a trial run and the Harvey was accused of burying evidence. When Jessica called Louis (acting as Travis Tanner) and got a statement supporting Harvey from him, Mike called her a cheater because Travis would never do that. However, when he found himself in the same situation, he called Harvey as his witness and did the same thing, I suppose this was the blind spot deliberately planned by the Showrunners.
I'd say half the crimes that brought down their enemies, the main characters committed and got away with.
This was the moment when Mike became Mike.
I wish Lawyers had to do trials like how guys to rap battles. Like they face each other and the jury goes “OOOOOOOOO” when one has a sick retort
funny how harvey could overtalk all later objections that were actually valid by just keep talking. which even in the suits world a real judge wouldn't let happen lol
This is an example of great TV, but horrible legal work. Everything about their process is improper, and Harvey would have been likely held in contempt. Then again, if it were done properly, it wouldn’t have been as compelling.
Couldn’t Harvey just bring up emails/contacts from Harvard or professors, and not only that he could’ve looked into the record books proving Mike didn’t go to Harvard or didn’t graduate college, he could’ve also asked for a graduate certificate or degree or anything else like that for evidence against him
STUDENT-TEACHER THING. BOOK SMART VS STREET SMART. A READER OF BOOKS VS A READER OF MINDS.
@waterbottlegamingtv what my guy
Harvey is way more Ten times thn Ross will ever be 🤣
Mike tried playing the game
Harvey played the man
both were right in a sense, but mike should have represented himself from the get go
nah man mike couldnt have destroyed trevor like harvey did
None of this would be happening if you were on time for the interview
And this right here is exactly what happened to Trevor when he was put to the stand.
Plot twist: Harvey doesn't want Mike to marry Rachel because she cheated
Jesus. Law is brutal.
It's a little brutalised version of the American legal system
If I was ever accused of fraud, I would keep my mouth shut and let Harvey do his thing. He probably would’ve beaten Gibbs had Mike not gotten in the way and taken Gibbs’s deal
If you remember, Mike did step in at the last moment to become his own lawyer and the verdict was not guilty only because people sympathized with him on how he handled the danner case. It's another thing that he took the deal, but that's a separate issue
4:05 😂
4:58 checkmate.
That was ruthlessssssss harvey 🤯😳
This might be one of Suites top 20 scenes from all Seasons.🤔🧐🤔🧐🤔🧐
“Iiii get it. This is a fake. Just like you”😂😂
"what am doing is winning"
Harvey enjoyed that because he hated disloyalty... Especially in relationships
You do NOT mess with Harvey.
1:55 where is mike ross
I'll do you one better, who is mike ross😂
Why is Mike Ross?
Its funny how Harvey went after Trevor for jealously. Yet Donna says in the scene where she found Lewis dictaphone where Lewis had recorded about Harvey's panic attacks for the board, if you use his weaknesses to publicly humiliate him, we are done. Lewis admits to being jealous of Harvey, there is alot of people jealous of Harvey, as Donna says maybe he gets away with everything, everything is easy to him, maybe it is, but that's the way it is, but if you use his weaknesses to publicly humiliate him, we are Done.
Jack soloff admits to Mike about being jealous of Harvey too. He says he has being grafting for twenty years, he says everything comes so easy to Harvey.
Public humiliation for perceived workplace superiority and public humiliation for the sake of winning a case are two very different things.
Talking about the knicks comment was hilarious

That's tough. I mean Gibbs was 100% in the right, but Harvey and Mike were our heroes in the show. I think that the show handled the verdict in the right way.
Considering we wouldn’t have watched the tv show and grew to care about the protagonists, I’m assuming most of us would have said guilty
Guilty for sure, Mike’s defense relies on to many ifs and buts.

Do these mock trials really work? It seems to be opportunities for them to take each other down.
My point of view...a true friend has the right to offend from time to time to keep everything in rail. In this case harvy just made a point if i can they can for sure.
Brutal.
The court would just compell Harvard School or Mike to produce attendance or financial records. The training provider has the accreditation for the degree could be compelled to provide evidence. LOL
Harvey na streets 😂
Pls start a new season okay, pls!!!!!🎉
What I am doing is winning…😂😂😂
Mike had hella wits but Specter was cold af!
It's very interesting how the partners, never seemed to question this whole thing and absolutely jump ship when there was a very feasible chance that this braniac didnt go to the school let alone have any law degree
I loved this episode! Mike was F'n him up to open!
I don't understand why this whole thing was even a thing. It would be so beyond easy to prove he didn't go to Law school. First of all, there is no record of him ever graduating from any undergrad program. Second, there's no record of any admissions application for him for harvard and theres absolutely zero paperwork except a digital transcript.
Although REAL Harvard trained lawyers don't actually operate like this and the practice of law is not so GLAMOUROUS and CRISP irl......this show was Fu***ing FANTASTIC!!
Much like House MD was when it comes to the practice of Medicine..... FAR-FETCHED at times.....but nonetheless FANTASTIC!!💯
This is so hurtful for everyone in the screen. EVERYONE
