- Purchased at Walmart for $39. Also bought the 2 year warranty for $2. All in all very good camera. Very easy to operate and upload. Loop mode automatically records when car is on. Worry free captures footage automatically. Sound is good.

Can't beat the price!
Color sucks. Can't even see the red lights at 2:00. Green lights are almost white. But sharp and contrast-y enough to make out plenty of detail. Hard to beat at $30.
It's purpose is to be a witness in an accident. The color is not great on this video but can easily be adjusted. This was shot moments after purchasing as a test.
graveshaker ...and it was a good purchase. This thing is packed full of features that much more expensive solutions offer. Bang for the buck it's awesome. I'm sure I'll be uploading more than one drag pass from this thing, I'd like to have 4 of them for track day. You can buy 7 of these for less than the cost of one GoPro.

i was messing around with the features. Cut the screen off. Now I can't see the picture. I can see that the screen is on but no vidieo

Hi graveshaker. I was given this as a Xmas present after complaining about the numerous close calls with local drivers in town. On attempting to use it some strange things. 1) Date/time stamp only shows a STATIC (non incrementing) time stamp from the time that the video was first created, and each subsequent video file has a similar time stamp correct at the moment that the video file was created. OR...2) every subsequently created video file has the SAME TIME STAMP AS THE FIRST VIDEO FILE. I have no clue why this happens. Have you experienced anything similar? Also, if you have a vehicle which has cig lighter plugs which REMAIN POWERED on engine shutdown, you're SOL. This thing won't turn on upon ignition then, or turn off when the car is shut down and the key removed. ...Even if you wait PAST the shut down time delay that you set up in the options. I'd like to know if anyone else has had the same problems with the date/time stamp. I would prefer a date/time stamp which increments live from startup to shutdown.
Experimented a bit and found out more information about the odd behavior on the time stamp thing. YY/MM/DD will net you a static time stamp that doesn't update. But any OTHER time format WILL get you a live-updated time stamp. Dunno why. But had to play around a lot to figure that one out. The directions are extremely minimal.

graveshaker I actually did figure a number of things out. To help others from the shock and "awe-no" that I went through I wrote a sort of "review". The only problem I'm having is the color red and brown is off almost grey like color. Does anybody know how to fix this issue
Innate flaw of the sensor, you can use video editors to fix this, maybe? Could be low saturation, or it could just not include a red / brown sensor.
Do any buddy now how to tur on the auto power on?
I leave mine plugged in cigarette socket. My cigarette socket only turn on when key is in the on position.
Ill pass on this and spend the extra money on the cobra dash cam for 89 dollars

+The2008tundra Not bad, It does have a night vision feature. You will be able to use it as proof if an accident occurs. There are of course better quality out there but for $39 you can't beat it.

Me too, but I want the dash cam to stay on for a minute after I turn my car off.

If i leave it in record mode will it just loop over old footage??

+1coughenour I have a GoPro dash cam. To answer your question, yes, that's what "looping" mode does. When the SD card is full, it automatically goes back to the beginning and records over the old "footage".
Unless u blurred out tags on close cars, the resolution sucks.
