  • Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love had a very impressive first season as the team's starter. The NFL looks like it is going to have to deal with another 10+ year starter in the NFC North.
Here are the plays and traits that suggest Love is the real deal.

Bro I was at his first start in kc
      He outplayed Mahomes that day
And people talked so much shit
But there were a few plays in that game where I saw it and I knew he was him
Big play to Randall Cobb on 3rd and long just showed he’s gonna be the real deal

@@JakeWilsonMMA Never had a doubt about Love. He may not be mechanical like a Peyton Manning or smooth like Rodgers. He just has "it". Nothing else matters. I attended the opening day game last year in Chicago. Been to Soldier Field many times but that was easily the loudest bears crowd ive experienced. And every 3rd/4th down, as soon as the crowd got loud again, Love shut them up. Time after time after time. I had full confidence he would be good well before that game but after I knew he would be great. The kid has ice in his veins and simply cant be rattled. Hes gonna lead this team to super bowls as in plural. I have no doubt about it.

So amazing so young so inexperienced yet playing with veteran savvy and many glimpses of a gifted passer.

@@jordanwhitehead1251 you can tell how important being on the field is though. It took him half the season to put it together. Which isn't a slight on him, hopefully other teams are taking note.

Thats due to letting him sit and learn slowly. By the time he was named starter, he had a near mastery over the mental side of the game. Packers knew exactly what they were doing all along.

Really makes you realize how hard it really is to be a qb, all the strategizing with your wrs and finding the perfect pockets and windows, while having almost to perfect accuracy.

Lafleur runs a crazy offense where a lot of pass plays are like 2 or even 3 plays in 1. You can see it where he takes a 3 step drop but pump fakes and takes another 2 steps. If the guys open at the 3 step drop, he fires it to them. If theyre not open, he takes the next 2 steps and then looks at the deeper reads. And then Lafleur loves to also have a swing route checkdown with a blocker in front of him just in case. Lafleur is a mad genius. Gotta love it.

The dig td to Doubs vs the Bears was such a cool play. They ran that same play for a td to Watson vs the Chiefs too except Watson started on the left side. If the oline can hold up, that play is uncoverable.

Patrick Mahomes threw 55 MPH and Jordan Love threw 54 MPH coming out of college, so they basically have the same arm talent. I'd argue that Love has grown more mechanically than Mahomes, so Love can probably throw a ball with more velocity at this point. What makes Mahomes great is his ability to take risks without getting bit (although that's starting to catch up to him) and being able to move around with his legs. Love is going to end up being a better QB than Mahomes.

How does an Irish guy gain such an in depth understanding of a game mostly only watched in North America? I don't know how long you've been doing this, but you know your shit- no doubt about it. Although, I'm not sure what "turd down", or "tree on two" coverage is.

a guy who is that athletic, could easily revert to pulling the ball down and using his legs. But he is poised in the pocket and takes some hits. Hopefully he doesn't get too twitchy back there. He has a couple inches on Rodgers and I think his size really helps.
