Check for the sensor on the rear just above the shock on top of the frame. It is very easy to knock unloose during install of rear shocks ( due to blind spot) click back together and it should get rid of your dash lights.

Bought a range product from American trucks website, the box had scotch tape on it raising my suspicions. Plugged it in thought it was working one day I was checking oil life and found out it wasn’t.🤬 Luckily I still had the boxes, because the return process doesn’t favor the customer. Went to buy one directly from Range @ 230 bucks but before that found this video. Just plugged in the Amazon special today and worked flawlessly! 👍 thanks China 🇨🇳 😅

For those of you that don't want to or can't spend the money to buy one of these, there is a trick. I don't know if it works for the 8 speed trucks, but for the six speed and ten speed trucks, if you put your truck in Manual, and select the second highest gear (5 or 9), it will keep your truck in V8 mode the whole time you're driving. I do this in my 2016, and my buddy does it in his 2021 Silverado 1500. I still am going to buy one of these, but it's a free trick for anyone wanting to try it out!

Haven't seen any problem with it drawing on the battery overnight either, although my Yukon (2012 SLT 4x4) is my daily driver. I know eventually my 200K+ mile 5.3L AFM lifters will fail, but I do believe this will extend its life quite a bit as I'm not getting any lifter tick and not even seeing any oil consumption. Why did GM not use the 4.3L (262 CID) in the PRO 1500 SWB and LWB trucks? I purchased a 1986 C-10 (1500) LWB with the 4.3L (262 CID) with the only option, a 35-gallon aux tank. I was able to drive 1,100 HWY miles between fill-ups. I've been watching CZcams/reading posts of mechanics stating reoccurring problems with GM's power plants 2.7L (165 CID), 5.3L (323 CID), and 6.2L (403 CID). There are only two solid GM engines, the 4.3L (262 CID) and 6.6L (403 CID). My first used truck was a 1963 I6 270 CID (4.4L) with a 4-speed stick shift LWB that I bought from the original order in 1982. Additionally, I owned a 1988 Chevy S-10 2.5L (153 CID) 2WD SWB. So, until GM gets their act together, I'm considering GMC SIERRA 2500 HD CAB) 6.6L (403 CID) SLE 2WD LWB or Savana 3500 Extended Passenger Van 6.6L (403 CID). The main reasons are: the 6.6L (403 CID) is old-school tech, meaning no auto start-stop; dynamic cylinder deactivation; and either can tow 10,000 lbs trailers. The Savana has a slight edge over the Sierra and carries family members and two Large DOG crates. As a Senior, I require a vehicle with safety features to assist me in driving on blacktop roads in Georgia. So, is it possible to reprogram the AFM/DFM in later Sierra/Silverado trucks to stay in V8 mode all the time?

We ordered a 85 dollar disabler not that one but another nock off..for my 2017 Silverado..has 67000 miles on it... however has the V6 motor...why would they put a 4 cylinder mode in a V6 come on Chevy.. anyways plugged it in what a huge difference..no more in and out yes . annoying..as hell in a V6.. especially pulling a small trailer..ex. with all that said ..with disabler plugged in runs just awesome power aways there now .and the transmission shift's perfect..that was a problem when going in and out of 4 cylinder mode..tranny slamming into gear when it went from 4 cylinder to 6 cylinder..not anymore..the truck performance is great with the unit plugged in..acts more like it should like a older model pick up..ok .love it ..happy with the out come..as for gas mileage the dash is saying 22 mpg..so the ones questioning this it works very well..we do unplug the unit if we dont drive the truck for a few days just in case of battery draw..

@MatthewSmith03 disabling AFM/DFM does help as it tries to stop the process , but the lifters do not get oil lube at various times in the AFM/DFM process and sadly they can collapse , this is usually on high mileage vehicles , and when lifters collapse there is a huge risk the engine suffer major damage and may need a major rebuild ,
Replacing the cam and lifters with regular type will save an engine from that problem , it really is worth the money to do the cam and lifter swap

Yes! 4 went bad, replaced all on passenger side, then 6 went bad. Come to find out all replaced were the wrong parts. When you remove see if the AFM lifters spring rotates. If so make sure the new 1s do as well.
