COMMENT: How would you grade Jabari's season?
C
Average season numbers and was benched multiple times for Jeff Green. Jeff Green got wayyyyy to many minutes this year because of Jabari's performances
I will give him B- just because his shooting really need to improve right now and free throw as well
I really like these player segments, but it would be lit to have those "one play"s qued up to play for us. The visual of the bari play vs wizards would have hit perfect with how Madison broke it down
Jabari had a nice season. He's only 20. There's a lot to look forward to.
I'm sorry yall... as a Rockets fan.... I get really frustrated with Jabari's shooting. I can deal with the lack of dribbling and playmaking but bro.... we drafted this man to do one thing on offense, just hit a jumper. It's like pulling teeth man. His defense is solid, he just needs a consistent jumper.
he improved drastically from year 1 to year 2 with his shooting %s...and he's one of our best and most versatile defenders
@michaelnoubissi4825 I feel that... he did improve... but can I give you an example? Paolo was drafted as a playmaker and he is ELITE in that aspect. Chet was drafted as a defender big with versatile offensive ability and he is playing ELITE. Jabari was drafted because he was supposed to be the best shooter in the draft (hasn't come to fruition) and a elite defender (has improved but still has shaky stretches). So, in comparison to his peers, it's hard for me to give as much credit as you would like me too. He even had such shaky play, Jeff Green was getting the most minutes of his life since his Washington Wizard days lol. All because Jabari would get benched due to performance issues.
Both Paolo and Chet lose to Jabari
@@datronbrown7179 Not statsically
@@waltirving500 when jabari matches up with those 2 he usually wins those matchup's and the other 2 are big focal point in their offense jabari is the 4th option at best right now. the games that we actually run plays for him he plays really well. i get the frustration 100% but he's 20 years old and the jump he made from last year to this year is encouraging moving foward.
I agree with the Lamarcus Aldridge comp. Now I canât unsee it lol
I like the way Doc put that, he didn't over achieve, just met expectation, B- is right. By year 4, I need 18pts, 10rebs, with elite Defense. That's a 35 mil/yr player. He can get to 20pts 10rebs in his prime, but 22pts, that's All star. He has be very aggressive for that, won't be lack of skill
I feel like we want him our AA Gordon but mostly hes our MPJ . I hope next year will see Tari at 4 and bari at 3
Solid B I think that we all know that Jabari when he reaches his ceiling is a 20 and 10 guy that can make two or three all stars.
His floor he a 16-18 ppg scorer so thatâs elite role player or pretty decent starter.
Either way if Jabari can get stronger and continues to develop into a great shooter. He going to be in the league for 10 plus years.
So yeah if Jabari can take that leap next year in his third year. We can definitely be a dangerous team next year đđŸ
One thing that I noticed about jabari is his play seems one dimensional. He always tries to finish around the rim same way with no variation. Outside of handles which he gotta improve on, He still gotta add fakes, fadeaway, eurosteps to his game which will allow him easy buckets sometimes. If possible let him go work with Hakeem. Alperen post game improves a lot bcos he workout with Hakeem
I dont think some people followed the team as much as they say this season. Bari literally had the 3rd highest 3pt% amongst rotation players and a decent FG percentage for someone who takes a lot of jumpshots. Any grade below a B is crazy.
Jabari would benefit working/learning from PG.
I think he has the potential to be better than players like Siakim
If Bari can take that jump we could really make a run next season! Unfortunately I don't see superstar potential with him. At best a fringe All-Star and that is pushing it
Goes missing too often, expected him to get better at rebounding. Expected him to keep working on high release shots, funny that Ime said exactly the same as Silas. No plays are run for him đ€·ââïž
this is turning into a comedy show
I see very little superstar potential. The only way he becomes a top 20 player is if he shoots 40% or better from 3.
High floor... top role player ceiling. Not bad, just don't think about where he was drafted.
Haven't finished watching, but hopefully someone mentions he was the worst clutch freethrow shooter in the league, relative to his normal %.
Jabari needs to increase his strength and decisiveness. He should be able to gather rebounds and hold his ground on defense. And his target offensively can be MPJ. He needs to be comfortable taking quick release shots. He wonât be dribbling past opponents for sure.
Honestly I think heâll be a 16 min/game back up if weâd be contending in 4-5 years. Canât see him be a superstar, sorry.
To be honest guys......i had to recheck to make sure Jarari was the player being dicussed. my season grade for Jabari is a solid D. have we downgraded our expectations so much that any little improvement will be considered a breakout? Jabari was a #2 overall pick yet he doesn't recieve the same critical spotlight Jalen does and he should. Jabari's play stunk this year. he can't dribble, so until he figures that out any hope we had of him becoming a post presence is dreaming. he doesn't block shots. he is NOT a good rebounder for his size. this man is 6 feet 11 inches with a 7 foot 1 inch wing span and is being out rebounded by guards. that is simply unacceptable. he is a streaky shooter at best. he gets pushed around on defense like a piece of furniture on the way to a moving van. he has very low basketball IQ and looks robotic. IMO Jabari has a long way to go just to become a serviceable NBA player, and NO I don't think he has any star qualities in his game. YES he improved this year, but you gotta admit the bar was REALLY low coming off his rookie season.
He was third pick
@@clipcorleone_7thdayfamilia you are correct he was #3 however the point is he is not under the critical spotlight others endure and he should be. even at #3 we should expect if not a star at least a high end roll player. right now Jabari looks like neither
