    Like... Yeah, all classical positions are turned out so... Yeah, they are related in that way... Nothing new there. First and Fifth has little relation though, and even less Second to Fifth (for the legs to be apart or crossed are exactly two opposites). Fifth and Fourth are truly more relatable, Fourth is indeed an "open" Fifth, because both have one leg back and one leg front, thus making them the exact same thing just that smaller or bigger. I actually teach Fifth position to be very slightly apart so legs have room to stretch and turn-out. It gives great results, then when they make this perfectly turned-out 90° ("180°"), they close it perfectly fine.
