I had forgotten how talented Andy Gibb really was. He had so little time to establish himself, it’s almost easy to forget but he did so much in the short time he had. So tragic....there are some people who have a higher sensitivity & are unable to withstand a cruel world & I firmly believe that he was one of those people.

Combine that with his brother, Barry’s good looks, and similar voice, and it all equalled success. It was too bad that cocaine got in the way.

Andy being the youngest of the Gibb brothers and the first to pass away, will always be missed and appreciated for the fabulous talent he had shown. Gone way to early in his career, Andy reminded me so much of his oldest brother Barry. I will be listening to him for the rest of my life. Thank you Andy for giving us these songs to forever remember you by. R.I.P. Andy.

I can't believe how time goes bye! I spent five years in Australia when my father was transferred due to business.I was fortunate enough to get to know Andy Gibb. We actually "hung-out" for two years and then circumstances, as they may be, changed and my father was re-located to the USA. We spent quite a bit of time together as his music career was expanding. Hanging around together gave me an opportunity to meet a lot of girls! Andy knew many girls because of his early "stardom." Well, as fate has it sometimes, I had to move away with my Father and never got to see Andy again. In all honesty, I would not have had the opportunity anyway since (as we all know) he passed away tragically. I had lot's of fun with him. Typically, I nicknamed him "Gibby!" I miss dear Andy! I'm sure he's serenading all the beautiful angels in heaven...RIP Andy!

You know an artist is truly talented when his live performance sounds as good as or even better than his studio recordings.
That tells me that Andy did not electronically manipulate his voice to make himself sound better than he really did....nope, that was how he really sounded with or without sound equipment.
Few artists can do that, even back then.
To this day I can only think of cheap trick. Andy was really talented!

I laugh at myself now at how silly I was then.. I suspect that had Andy lived he would look a lot like Barry now. They favored alot as it was. Miss Andy so much.

Love this! Thanks for sharing! He was so cute!! Such a shame we lose talented people before their time. Imagine what they all could have given us. Andy was just beginning to show himself apart from his brothers. However had he had the opportunity to grow with them, it could have been such a powerhouse. Andy and I were the same age. Although I wasn't listening to this type of music in the late '70's. it's easy to see that he knew how to sing a song, had a great voice, decent guitar player and a strong stage presence. I'm enjoying his music now more than ever. Wish he was still making music.

Andy is so young in this video but it captured his true essence as a young artist and all that he could have been. He is or was 6 years older than me. U look at this and l see such a beautiful man like no other. As old as l am now. I still see him that way he was quite special. No one could ever take his place in my eyes.
Yes definitely something special about Andy and he’s someone I can’t forget even though I was a very young kid when he passed away. I was around 4 so he was somewhat before my time but something about him just makes me feel so emotional. He seemed so sweet and innocent.
