The Bee Gees where as good as they come. Listen to this video. This is a live performance without the need of auto-tune and with talented musicians. It doesn'tget any better than this. Sadly, these days will never come again.
I have listened to almost every type of music for a very long time. There has NEVER been a more personable and talented family of singers/songwriters in the world of music like the brothers Gibb. All four of them are the best of the best on so many levels!!!!
Andy’s voice is a lot like Barry’s and he looks like hum too. Robin’s dancing is hilarious - but man, what a voice!

They were always so much alike in many ways. You wouldn’t have thought so being the oldest & youngest. Unbelievable voices & talent ❤️. Robin had an incredible voice but ya he needed some dance lessons 😂

I recall Andy Gibb as being even more popular than his brothers. 77 through 79: Andy Gibb was HUGE. Especially 78.
Andy was huge. *Flowing Rivers*, an outstanding album. He had three number Ones in a row , with I just want to be..., Love is Thicker than water, and Shadow Dancing . I remember seeing him on Mike Douglas, Dinah , the Tonight Show , etc. and of course, Barry was writing those hits for him.
@@BeautifulSpirit-kf5ld at least give credit were it's due the other brothers had a hand in writing Andy's hits as well. I want to be your everything was written by Barry alone, Love is thicker than water by Barry and Andy, and last but not least Shadow Dancing was written by all 4 Gibb Brothers.

It seems young people are discovering them. It's 2022 and a lot of young people are always looking for the first time. Or remembering when they're folks played this music and danced around the kitchen. Some of the most gifted artists ever.

It’s a time gone by…where you sang live. Yes there were shows that made you lip synch…but these shows…wow…you really could appreciate what a group like The Bee Gees were doing. Those harmonies….and playing their instruments…unreal.

Pre-disco Bee Gees was the best. The Midnight Special was one of the first shows I watched when I became old enough to stay up late. Another was the original cast era of SNL.

Falsetto from Maurice on Nights on Broadway...amazing!
Also the part he does on the original version of "to love somebody" Certain songs you can really hear Maurice but I don't think ppl really pat attention because most of the videos show more of Robin and Barry.
@@maddylit1643 I think they wanted to build the legend that the falsetto was all Barry. Listen to “baby as you walk away” from the main course LP ..... is it Barry or Maurice?
Barry's falsetto voice gave the bee gees the success but respect to the other 2 brother's Maurice and robin and Andy aswell 👍😁🐻
Barry & Maurice have almost the same voice texture. They can do falsetto, low voice while Robin complement with that high Sharp voice. Incredible 👌
@@paulpeace6455 Watch the “too love somebody” clip from 67 and Maurice towards the end scats and sounds like Robin. Maurice could mimic either of them, but couldn’t sustain lead vocals for more than one or two tracks live.
Interesting to hear them sing Jive Talkin in their "normal" voices.
Robin, Maurice, Barry and Andy......just such beauitful, memorable music. I find no one to compare them too, they were in a class all their own.

Here's a true fact Barry and his brother's in the younger days used to mime to a record .... A unfortunate mishap happened the record got damaged so it was then Barry discovered he could sing a true fact and the rest is history 😁.... Barry's Gibb voice also can be heard on Samantha sang song emotion which Barry wrote great songwriter's all of them .......

Love wen the fourth to be bee gee there andy too, great, and superb, loved that they were just around the corner from us and our neighbours, n that sed immensely proud of them, lived for there music n writing, loved them as kids n still do, local kids that conquered the world as they deserved, best any will ever here gods blessings to us through there words n spectacular high amazing voices, i loved them for just them so lovely in spirit n so down to earth there feet were planted, i heard Maurice say n laughed, they also were very humble a quality that they still had, n yes they sing but they are so so much more than that. Wow go lads u did u sed u wanted the world to fall in love with you, YOU did that, and what your passion ended you up the top were you are, n we love you. Where do you start with this? Playing and singing LIVE…and nailing it. Almost effortlessly. Always thought it was Barry with those high notes at the end of “Nights On Broadway”….but it’s Maurice! Wow. Robin freakin’ Gibb….”just”standing there doing his thing….perfectly. A time gone by…when directors would hang on a shot for more than a second….and not punch a different camera up every other second. The Bee Gees…so talented….they had many incarnations over many decades. Amazing.
This before *Barry* discovered his damn _Falsetto_ and *Maurice* started wearing hats!

Unfortunately I was growing up in Mesa AZ back in the mid to late 70's and none of the local TV stations picked up the cool syndicated music shows like The Midnight Special. No Don Kirshner's either. Was a vacuous cultural wasteland back then. I survived by moving to California. Best move I ever made.
