Ben. If you only put out one video on bitcoin dominance and the breakdown of ETH/BTC right back at the beginning, I would have watched it and forgotten everything you said within a few hours. The fact that you've been banging the same drum for the last couple of years has saved me a lot of downside. There is no reason to apologise for putting out samey content when it is correct and saving a lot of people a lot of heartache. I'm damn sure I'm not the only person that appreciates you're calm head. Especially in the crypto space. Keep it up!

Yeah it's important to see alt coins relative to btc rather than their dollar price. I would argue though that most people who hold ETH don't hold spot ETH. They are comfortable with smart contract risks and use them in defi and to farm airdrops. The profits are more than worth it. Ben's suggestions are good for the less savvy, more conservative investors.

at 60% dominance, it'll make sense to convert atleast 30% of your BTC to your favourite altcoins (including eth & sol). You can cash out on 20% BTC and the remainder you ride. Obviously there is a chance that the other 50% of your portfolio will go down as BTC dominance declines, but there is no making money if you'll fully exit the markets. Stay in the game and stay strong, the long term goal is to accumulate as much BTC as possible.

Interesting theory, another theory is ETH is bleeding because technology is moving forward and ETH is being replaced by more efficient tech ie: SOL etc .
If you want to look at history look at what happened to BlackBerry.
Comparing Sol and Eth is like comparing Toyota and Mercedes. Being cheaper does not mean ultimately better or more efficient. Ethereum has already proven with time that it is robust and secure, Solana has proven it’s not (at least not yet)!

100%. But they don’t want to hear that. The Sol/Eth resistance we are hitting now is imaginary. It’s based upon nothing except the beliefs that were held during the last Sol/eth peak many years ago, and a lot has changed since then! Ben goes in to say Eth is superior, but doesn’t go into WHY. And the WHY is exactly what has changed. Send SOL up!!

I agree with your sentiments, but if ETH/BTC is about to bottom is it not a good time to buy ETH. Since no one can time the bottom DCA +- a few weeks around this time is a good idea right? The pair is closer to the bottom than the top, just a little bit left to go. How do we not miss the bottom?

I'm one of those holding ETH....in Germany we have no tax if we hold Crypto for more than 1 year...so very hesitant to sell...anything I sell that I've held less than a year, I get taxed at about 45%....I should have sold last year...and then I'd have held the new BTC for more than 1 year and could have avoided the tax...and made a nice gain....too late now.
All I can see in thiss "Every high>low>new high>break down" (below yellow lines) in the chart are an incredible buy oportunity.
Ben, if you overlay ETHBTC with something like PEPE, you will notice something mindblowing. They are opposites of each other, meaning smart money accumulates more eth while dumping memes on retail.

I started following your channel at the end of 2022 and since then I have discovered how important BTC dominance and the ratio of Bitcoin to altcoins pairs are. I adjusted my investment plan based on this insight and am very glad I did this. Seriously, the knowledge I gained from studying the examples you cover is priceless.
Hey there! I truly appreciate your CZcams channel; it's helped me expand my knowledge in incredible ways. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I believe that when things get overly technical, with too many analysis indicators, it can lead to confusion and, ultimately, poor decisions. Your analysis has good points, but I think you're too fixated on the 2019 period. Even though BTC dominance has a strong influence on the crypto market, the market has never remained the same at all times. Therefore, I believe it will continue to evolve, not stay stagnant. We are preparing to make a new ATH for all crypto, including Ethereum. Yes, the question is how much profit you will gain from your investments, but staying on the sidelines expecting ETH to drop is very risky. You risk only watching the market go up and missing an opportunity. It's your decision, and sometimes the best strategy is to keep analyses simple and not overly reliant on cross analytics. Cheers

I think fundamentals are a big factor towards the rise in sol/eth pair. While technicals can be reliable guide/metric to a certain degree, the development of the sol chain, transaction volumes etc are a far cry from what it was last time. Metcalfe's law essentially. I totally believe that eth/btc pair will continue to bleed if the entire markets gap up. However, sol/eth pairs will continue to rise if the entire market goes up. Technicals are important but it's not everything.
Expect the Fed to change guidance on rate cuts this year. Powell is going to do whatever possible to tank consumer spending so that inflation gets back to 2% annual

Only a matter of time until eth has its run, it's tempting to switch eth to alts showing strength against btc and eth but it's probably a little late now.
