Saw my first LFA this year and heard one for the first time in the wild. Yamaha and Lexus might just have made the greatest sounding engine of all time. Sounds like how F1 cars used to sound. Epic!! Great video too.

Absolutely love the lfa the sound was achieved with the help of Yamaha music and like you say to see the LFA and hear it in person is a experience in it self! Glad you enjoyed the LFA Spencer
amays86 what does Yamaha motorsport know about music yes Yamaha has a history with Toyota and their engines and helped with the development of the engine but exhaust and sound was given to the music division (a lot of companies including Ferrari mclaren even Harley Davidson) employ sound engineers to tune exhaust systems to obtain the desired sound watch the behind the scenes of the LFA breaking a glass if you still don't believe me it was Yamaha acoustics not the Motorsport division!
Sweet video. I got a ride in a 1 of 7 Nurburgring edition LFA. It's 1 of 7 because of the orange color. Badasssssss car man it has a huge carbon wing and it's fast!

i think if the lfa had a dobule clutch transmission i think it would of been a beast
Would be insane with a double clutch for sure. Incredible car indeed.
It already is insane with the single clutch transmission even if the tranny is not as quick as a dual clutch. It did 7:14 around Nurburgring with the same transmission. If anything, it needs sticky tires like the other supercars that wear R compounds. In the quickest shift mode, it shifts extremely quick.
Adriel M I wouldn't change a thing though.. I believe that a double clutch wouldn't compliment this car's personality well.. And I'm not saying this because the guys at Lexus say so 😝 I truly think it wouldn't..
It would be faster going through the gears, sure, but it would feel very robotic if it had like a Huracán/R8 double clutch gearbox for example..
With this single clutch, the sound of the gear change and how the engine "vocally" responds to it.. it's just like hearing a glass shattering scream from God's dirty little secret petrol pit Orchestra track named "FUCK GLOBAL WARMING"! (not that I support Trump at all with this one..! Global warming is real.. and it's bad! 😓😷)

Aníbal Évora Yeah, agreed. I have heard a few LFA owners saying it feels more racecar-like than the PDKs in their Porsche. It would shift a bit quicker, but the downshifts and upshifts would not sound half as cool (more like automatic sound). Plus, the single-clutch in LFA is extremely small, compact and light. It weighs roughly half as much as a double clutch unit.
Roger Mahajan 7:14 is bloody quick. Sticky tires for sure. Can't wait for the follow up to the LFA, hopefully they gonna keep the V10 and that amazing sound.

The unusual looking seatbelt is an air bag seatbelt (Airbelt) that will inflate in the event of a severe collision. The wing switch behind the driver's seat is used to clean under the wing while the car is getting detailed. Awesome car

A review I guess? From a sales perceptive you were pretty bad. As a car enthusiasts you were great. The sound is pure sex on wheels I have sat in one while at idle and did get to rev it a few times. Unforgettable experience. If you drive it again please don't shift like that for your own saftey. The hands should really stay at 9 and 3 at all times. A lot of power can kill a lot guicker when shifting overhand and wrongsided, really dangerous. Set your cameras up 1st. Then leave them alone when driving any supercar. I liked the video overall because of the joy the LFA gave you and the incredible memories you now have. Cherish this because you are in a very elite group of people in the entire world. A few thousand at the most. 😁
