The music in your videos never disappoints
Very kind my friend. Thank you!
Hey Patrick - was just revisiting your former splendid Jamstick funk video yesterday! This is just fabulous. And beautiful, beautiful playing and production.
Always appreciate your comments bro! So glad you enjoyed the video!
Came for the Jamstick, stayed for the music
Appreciate that!
Same here hahaha I stayed WAY too long for the music...
Awesome video, I'm glad I randomly found your channel. Great work
Thank for the comment Matthew! Appreciate the kind words 🙌
the beginning solo is just sound amazing
This is a really nice video man!
Appreciate that 🙌🙌
well done Patrick
Would you say the midi tracking is better on either of the instruments? Just wondering if opting for the more expensive classic will yield better midi tracking results
are you able to run different tunings and it still read it normal. like down tunings or midwest tunings.?
Music sounds awesome!!!
Thank you!!
Have you used these with an eBow? I'm curious about the response when the attack to the string is not, say, picked or strummed.
How would you go about using it live?
How noisy/quiet are these Guitars compared to normal cables? are the pickups buzzing?
Is this above or "far above" the Roland offerings. I owned the Fender Strat MIM and USA Roland model and they were not great. Also tried the midi electronic (Roland) on several guitars and no... not great. The clean tones on the axe sounds great. Thanks for the video
I might need to cop this jamstik. Dope!!
You def need one homie!!
@@PatrickBreenMusic it would definitely make me rethink some chord shapes using a guitar for some things
@@TEEJmakesmusic guitar voicings on keys can get fun! Lots of cool possibilities!
Have you used this guitar with Guitar Pro or similar software to create guitar tabs?
rlly looking to get one as i main guitar but sometimes wanna be able to play other instruments on guitar hehe... im just wondering how responsive it is? for playing math rock stuff for example
Do we have any cheap midi guitars under 200€?
Is there a way to use it with a wireless system live?
Impressive!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you!
Beautiful music.
Appreciate that, man!
what could one use to play live without a pc ? the roland pedal ?
Does the app play bass & drum accompaniment?
My Idea is what if you added a midi out for controller and position data only. On off effects.. Bend to wa???
Hello dear, do you have the Neylon guitar version ?
Good guitarist
Do you know what pickups they use in this guitar? Are they replaceable? Also does it come with 10 gauge strings or something else?
I think they’re KD pickups. And yes, you can change them just like a regular guitar, but it voids the warranty.
Can this be installer into a “normal” guitar?
How good is the tracking in your opinion? I love this idea but I've tried software to convert my guitar audio signal into MIDI and I couldn't get it to work well. I'd like to buy this but if the tracking isn't solid then it would be a big waste of money for me...
The tracking is really good. Like any new piece of gear, there's a slight learning curve finding the settings that best suit your playing style. I also recommend adjusting the sensitivity settings when switching between fingerstyle and playing with a pick. More often than not, leaving the string sensitivity on 5 works for most scenarios. Hope that helps!
Guitar synth /midi or wind synth are possibly the best instruments.
Hi :), can you tell me if the tracking and the latency are very good for play on a hardware synth please ? that work exactly the same than on the software ?
Hey! Yes it works with hardware the same way it works with software. Works very well with super low latency.
How loud will this be solely from the noise of the string struck to the others, when there is a headphones on? Is this same as any electric guitar or is it quieter?
Strings are always going to make some noise. I can't imagine why it would sound any different than any other electric guitar.
One of these with an evertune bridge would be sick
YEAH BUT THEN YOU'D HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DOCTOR. 😂
Cool. What’s the song in 02:19 ?
Whatever the instrument is, MIDI clearly needs a better sense of it than just the sound coming out of it
In the instance of guitar, I would suggest that manufacturers add some kind of detection of fret position, fret pressure, and even string position if possible
But the hexaphonic sound pickp is definitely a good start, I can't think of a better way to track the volume
TUE JAN-16-2024CE 1041EST
Yooo - can I play lead synth parts with the midi on this?? If so, 🔥🔥🔥
YEP 🙌 Dude you would love this thing!
So they make just the pickup to mount to an existing guitar?
they for some reason don't seem to be selling the pickups alone
Why to record with it ? Thats why we have keyboards !!
This could be helpful for a cover band
Well done informative video. Excellent playing as well.
Can you change the strings on the guitar?
Yes, just like on a normal guitar.
BTW. 90210 vibes lol
I have the headless version. Honestly, I'm not a big fan. It's cool for sure, but you have to play too "perfectly". If you tend to play a bit sloppy (aka with style 😉), the midi doesn't track well.
Hey Doug - so sorry you haven't had a great experience! I will say that I do a lot of sensitivity tweaking to the Jamstik based on what parts I'm playing (chords vs. lead), what kind of instrument I'm playing, whether I'm playing with a pick or with my fingers, etc. I do agree that you have to play a little more "clean" because the Midi pickup will register things like dead/muted notes in chords. I tend to play with my fingers to get a more precise chord "pluck" and it works great for me. I definitely approach the Jamstik slightly differently than how I would play a normal guitar and there's definitely a learning curve. Maybe you've tried those things, but hopefully something here is useful for you, my friend!
@@PatrickBreenMusic Thanks Patrick. It's all about expectations. I wasn't really thinking about how it would create the MIDI data and the inherent limitations. I don't hate it by any means. It's pretty cool!
@@PatrickBreenMusic Great video Patrick. Would the midi track well with a finger picking style?
@@youngamerican100 yes, in my experience playing with your fingers gives the best results!
@@PatrickBreenMusic Yeah, probably because it's relying on pitch-to-MIDI conversion, like most MIDI guitars (and I don't really like that, quite honestly). It needs to look for the fundamental frequency the string's vibrating at, something that would generally be harder to do if using a pick instead of your fingers.
wish i waited i hate the 0ne with 0ut head stock l0l

£1000 ! 🤔😱
I couldn't focus on the review....the music took me away
Why do we adjust things, "on the fly?" Why not, "quickly?" It's one less syllable. It's faster to say!
What if we want to do it 'on the fly' but slowly? /s
@@RyanMcQuen fair enough!
Don’t apply logic to language. It’s a loosing battle. My pet hate is ‘power outage.’ (So when the power comes back it’s obviously a ‘power inage.’ 😢)
"On the fly" means: impromptu, as needed, with little to no warning, and having no prior planning implied.
"Quickly" means: "in a short amount of time"
They aren't the same thing at all.
@@gatsu8634 This is CZcams! You are not supposed to be accurate and intelligent. 😵💫
Thanks for sharing the video! Let me tell you something important:
God loves you! God loves us !
He is no respecter of persons! because God wants us all to be saved! and let us go to the knowledge of the "Truth"
God wants to save us from eternal damnation,
which we all deserve because of sin,
Who entered the world through Adam, and through sin entered into death,
and thus death passed to all human beings,
therefore, we are all "Sinners"
But God's Love was so great for us, that he sent his only Son (Jesus Christ), gave him to this world, to die and rise again for all of us! No respect of persons!
so that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ does not go to eternal punishment, but rather has “Eternal Life! “
Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures;
and he was buried, and he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures
Jesus Christ came to call sinners to “Repent! “
and, whoever believes in Him, has “Eternal Life! “But whoever refuses to believe in Jesus Christ, the wrath of God abides on him.
Then, as by Adam's transgression, condemnation came to all human beings, in the same way, by the justice of Jesus Christ, justification of life came to all human beings!
for all of us who believe in “The Only Savior of the world!
The Only Mediator between God and us! The Lord Jesus Christ! “
All of us who trust in Him; we have “Eternal Life! “
Let's all read the Word of God! mainly the Gospels;
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
and let us pray to God, our Heavenly Father, every day…
God loves you! God loves us! Only to Him be the Glory Forever! Amen!

Is there any way for me to use this as a synth WITHOUT having to plug it into a PC or laptop? How is this useful for the musician that shows up to a jam night to play with his friends where the bands are rotating every 4 songs or so? Oh wait a minute guys just let me set up my laptop and program some synth VSTs real quick! NOT! At least those crappy 1980s CASIOs come with SOME built in sounds- however crap they may be. Can't support a Floyd Rose, can't do dive bombs! So for certain classes of guitarist- not very helpful! Sounds like they have a ways to go yet in making this truly a good product. "Oh you can use our guitar you just need a laptop to go with it!" - I will never buy a laptop. I use tower PCs only. Laptops are not modular. And I don't want to have to buy a freaken Moog either! It should just be an all in one product. Don't Nintendo me here. Damn.
I think you’re missing the point of what a midi controller is. If you buy a midi controller keyboard, it also won’t play any sounds unless plugged into a computer. It’s merely a controller that allows you control software synths and virtual instruments. It’s a not a synthesizer on its own
I understand perfectly what a MIDI controller is. You, I think, do not understand MY point. It just ISN'T USEFUL. Who needs just a MIDI controller? You need the master AND the slave device to be inside the instrument- all in one! Just like many of your modern keyboards on the market today. The bottom line is that ain't nobody got time for messing around with VSTs and plugins and setting up a laptop when you're playing a gig that pays a hundred bucks per man! Not practical. @@deanreis6668
I don’t really think that certain type of guitarist you mentioned who needs a Floyd Rose and does dive bombs wouldn’t really have much interest in a MIDI guitar anyway lol.
And any MIDI controller is, just a controller. They don’t come with sounds. The whole premise of them is that you can use them to control all sorts of different synths and sound sources.
You don’t necessarily need a laptop either, if you really want to show up to a jam session with this Jamstik thing, you can bring a hardware synth and plug the jamstik to that too, since it’s a midi controller.
I think you need to chill a bit, your comments about Tower PCs and laptops are so aggressive and I find that hilarious xd
No soul.😮
What the?!? Tons of soul. That's a human playing, brother. You can see how much he's into it. Ironically I made an AI song the other day and my friend said "who's the singer? Is it a friend of yours? She's so talented and puts her whole into it" but "she" wasn't even real
You need to think about what you’re actually saying here matey. “Tons of soul but not real” WTF?
@@alexwabinski1343 Go back and read what I said again, then you'll understand
lame demo. there's not even any single string midi stuff, which is always the problem with midi guitars...
Yeah and this video was obviously sponsored. Lol! The fact he had a discount code makes that obvious. Half the time sponsored reviews should not be trusted. All they do is talk about how "great" the product is to get folks to buy it, never actually being 100 percent honest and talking about the product's potential downsides.
Also, "no latency"? Come on! It's using pitch-to-MIDI conversion like most other MIDI guitars, of course there's gonna be latency. It's physics. You'll get more latency the lower you go in pitch. Lower frequencies take longer to track because they are, well, slower. So that part was bogus.
@@justinnaramor6050 yes, my point being that the obvious advertisement doesn't even show anything cool.
I have one and single notes play fine ..you might need to practice more and clean up your playing skills.
Its ur own fault
pretty useless
