She looks like a princess. It’s refreshing to see some other, different beautiful women, not just those cookie-cutter Instagram models.
Petra Uhráková i agree 💯 %
@Tommy gibstain wait what do you mean by the contrast between skin color and eye color, they like darker eyelids or ?
Tommy gibstain That explains so much actually, it makes sense why models like Adrianna Lima and Irina Shayk are so big in the industry not only do they have great proportions but the skin and eye contrast is quite stark. Tan skin and light eyes seem to be quite common amongst top models.
Tommy gibstain oh, so you are even racist. Nice. You know you can have a contrast of a really pale skin and brown/dark eyes?!
bishes be mad It’s not a fantasy world it’s reality. Personally I don’t find pale skin (or any skin tone for that matter) unattractive but most people unfortunately don’t like pale skin. Why do you think the self-tanning industry exists? People spend so much money and even risk skin cancer just so they don’t look pale.
Being an Indian girl I can relate to everything she said about her struggle for right foundation and skin color and not to forget the dark circles.
Pallavi Pandey huda beauty has great colors and shades, but I love the 200 series cinema secrets and their color corrector for my dark olive skin. For off days? Kosas and ilia and rms make great color options.
@@KB-bq5bv in India in fair complexion too we have to find what type of fair are u ...I have fair complexion but I am more like yellowish and that's different than having milky white skin and it frustrates me

I love the fact that she’s an Indian model because you don’t usually see a lot of Indian models out in that industry
a
Especially a Sikh model
Mnrt sa What is the difference between normal Indian person and a Sikh?
You don’t see indian pakistani or south Asian models in general in fashion industry and media/advertisements. It gets boring seeing the same people seriously over common looking people.
Ella P Sikhism is a religion. Indian is an ethnicity. Sikhs are a minority, so I guess it’s more rare for there to be Sikh representation. By the sounds of it, her nationality is British.
I'm all here for desi representation

They all say “I’m not a makeup artist don’t judge” then come out looking like a goddessssss
Models spend a lot of time with makeup artists so maybe that's why.. Or they are just so beautiful anything they do works 🤷🏻♀️
“My granddaughter’s the first Indian model for Blueberry” 😂😂😂
that's cute actually
When she said she has dark under eyes because she’s Indian, that was a whole mood.🙌🏽😔
@@GemGem12 you think? I'm Mauritian with indian roots and mine are genetic

Nishita kunder you’re not the only one without dark circles under the eyes I didn’t know it was common in our community but isn’t that everywhere tho? Some ppl do some don’t? Meh oh well
@@GemGem12 I agree. I am Sri Lankan and have them as well and I think they are beautiful and add definition. I think under eye concealer makes people look strange but to each their own.
Aleena Ali I relate so much!! I’m not even tired but people always ask me if I haven’t slept lol
im really glad that she is talking about the impact that she has had on the modeling industry, as an indian girl, it keeps me inspired and confident
See your likes darling
Neelam is so gorgeous and her accent completes everything

Oh my gawd bro you are everywhere!
You're everywhere 😂
ScarlettP Yes 💗
I see u everywhere lmao
I used to follow her on Instagram when she was just starting out modelling, she would reply to messages and is so so kind and humble. It’s amazing to see her on vogue now!
Kudos
I tagged her in my stories - reposting this video- she reshared it

I love how she made meaningful comments in between instead of just plain silence
I like her. She’s honest and real about colorism in her community. The story about her grandma was so cute and I love people who reflect on what may seem like small things with their family. I bet her grandma’s roti is good. I hope she has a long career. She’s stunning too.
Absolutely. And we have to talk about colorism in Caucasians. Be proud of your skin tone; why get tans?

O

In Korea as well
Yeah it is ,u know a lot of girls in India face this pressure of skin lightening coz they are constantly being told that they need to be fair or light skinned to be beautiful, which I hate.
@shrreyyaa not everyone in Korea is pale skinned though lol.
In Indonesia too ,,even though brown skin shines more beautiful and healthy
Do 73 questions with Neelam Gill.
Who agree with me ??
Yess
yesssss😍😍😍
yesssssss please!
Yes
Why do you comment this on every video it's concerning at this point
YES, BROWN REPRESENTATION!! let's go, vogue!!
Why there are no replies?
Sad that other cultures feeling embarrassed b/c of how they look or the food they eat. It is sad. Do not bleach your skin, your natural skin is best and beautiful.
@Civil Atrocious your unable to understand because you've never been in a spot where you were rediculed for your skin color... And that kind of shaming happens for long enough, your conditioned to think that only fair is beautiful...
Throughout history, even white people believed that the "fairer ,whiter" ones were superior
@Civil Atrocious clearly you're not understanding bcs you dont deal with discrimination darker skinned ppl deal with that makes them want to get bleached. Stop being offended and educate yourself
Civil Atrocious historically and to this day, lighter skin people and white people don’t experience discrimination in the same way or the extent that dark skinned people do
Civil Atrocious the conversation about the effects of western beauty standards placed on other groups, isn’t a conversation about you
@Civil Atrocious like you say different parts of the world have different views of beauty. Like you say in the eastern part people like lighter skin and you find that sad. We can say the same that western people like darker skin and we find that sad.
To explain the concept. I am Indian and in India the obsession with fair skin goes wayyyyy back. In older periods and past centuries the weathy had better jobs say in offices etc and hence they and their kids and lighter skin because they never got tanned. The lower classes worked in the sun throughout the day and hence they had really tan skin. So over the centuries fair skin became associated with upper classes and hence the deep rooted centuries old obsession with fairer skin in India. Even though today all of those divisions and barriers don't exist still it is instilled in out society to try and become as fair as possible and that fairer skin tones are prettier.
I feel like we are finally seeing different breeds of gorgeous on vogue not just kardashians and Instagram models because there are so many different types of beauty
Breeds???😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
She’s what the kardashians wished they looked like. Kim spends all her time tanning to get this skin tone
She is just natural beautiful 😍😍😍😍 no need for makeup.
THELEXISS TV Exactly
@Tommy gibstain look who's talking...
FINALLY THERE IS AN INDIAN MODEL REPRESENTATION
I want to do it too😭
She has such a innocence and beauty in her
indian women have large, beautiful, and bright eyes. something I haven’t seen in any other ethnicity
I wouldn’t say that but that’s your opinion
Let Indian women get some love 🙄
Nia A big almond eyes is something they are known for every race has something beautiful they’re known for, it doesn’t mean other ppl can’t have big eyes
@@SK-hd1yk Who is known for big almond eyes?

I love the way she expressed India. Being an Indian I'm so proud of her. "Whitening in India is a big industry". What she said is true and I completely stand that. Love the way she is trying to bring a change in Indian's opinions about beauty. Diversity is beautiful ❤❤❤❤
As someone with medium, olive-tone skin, I am so happy that Vogue is finally featuring someone with a similar skin tone ❤️
I love when they have women with different ethnicities on here because they tell the most fascinating stories and have amazing skincare and beauty tips.
ngawww her talking about her grandma warmed my heart so much #FirstIndianModelForBlueberry
"everyone is beautiful" wow i love her.
I thought her makeup was FINISHED when the video started, she is so insanely beautiful
" I know some sunscreens leave a whitey residue that no make up can save" 😂😂😂 so true
The way she said "NANNI"...I was dead. She's the most amazing ❤
“Blueberry” gotta love the Nanis!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
it should be illegal to be that pretty how is she so beautiful
So glad she opened up about our brown culture and discussed those issues. #Browngirllove

The part about not finding your shade is so real. I'm Pakistani and I can't even be considered dark but I still can't find my foundation shade because all brands have literally untanned-white-people colours in eight different undertones. like, what are the rest of us supposed to do?

Burnt chicken breast

She seemed so genuine and down-to-earth. I'm grateful to have come across this video💕
ugh remember when she got so much hate, when the rumors that she was dating zayn started circulating, look at her now
She has radiant skin . I thought at the start of video that she has put no-makeup makeup look.
She is truly beautiful, very nice features but I also feel she is a very sweet and down to earth person, not just a pretty face.
She is SO wellspoken... i could listen to her all day
The bathroom is so aesthetic.💘

She is so well-spoken and classy. Love it.
Her manicure is perrrrfffectt! Like that's my idea of perfect hands and nails. Love the length of the nails, the shape, the color looks great with her skin tone and also goes with any outfit or look.
Her voice is the most relaxing thing ever and her story about her nani is the sweetest!❤️
This woman is absolutely stunning, and her voice is so beautiful! i could watch this to fall asleep tbh it's just so aesthetically calming
I love how she showed us her makeup but also managed to touch on important cultural issues! Haven't seen that in many other vogue makeup videos!
Yesss this was amazing! Both because I have some new inspo for products that will suit my skin tone (totally relate to the struggle to fine nude/natural lip colour) but also because Neelam is so lovely and inspiring and her chats were so honest, humble, relatable and refreshing! Yes vogue, more real people with stories please!

brown girl representation, yes! once i saw this girl on instagram, i was so proud. love to see it. 💕

Vogue, this video was so authentic, so real and raw. Her personality is what the industry needs more of. Beauty in and out, we need more than just a pretty face. Fashion industry needs diversity. Thanks for this post! Xoxo
She’s so perfect 😍😍😍 Love that she’s getting the recognition she deserves!
She's so pretty even by Eurocentric beauty standards. Sun-kissed skin, light lips, big almond eyes, thick shapely brows , plump lips, high cheekbones and a slim nose. I don't know why white girls are hating on her. Can't see a person of another race look pretty. Racist much?
YES for the diversity!!!
This is the first time I have heard her voice and watch her talk; I've always seen her everywhere in magazines, she's seems like a really nice girl!
probably my fav vogue beauty secrets video so far, honestly love her sm

I got acne right before I turned 24 too I had clear skin my entire life and then it was everywhere!! ... my dermatologist told me I was shedding my “adolescent” skin it’s better now thank god. Makes me feel a little better that I’m not the only one 😩
