  • I've started becoming a fan of these Mr Black stereo pedals. Since I've accumulated a few of them, I thought it would be fun to put them together, turn some knobs and see what happens.

Love every Mr black pedal out there. That vintage ensemble is killer.

These are all A+ pedals for real. He's killing it. Gotta get that Supermoon Eclipse soon, turn some more knobs. All sounds great, thanks for being one of the few to demo these

I feel I have 0 need for a Supermoon Eclipse, yet based on how much I like these 3 pedals I still feel like I need one lol

The supermoon chrome is unbelievably cool. I have a ventris and I have yet to mimic that sound with it. No reverb pedal has that haunting sound quite like the supermoon

@@LeviBulger This is where I am getting stuck... So many options at this price... Ventris, Blue Sky, Specular Tempus, RV-500, Silver Lake, Hall of Fame 2x4 and the Eclipse... or should I just get a Lexicon rack reverb? @.@

@@EnochDark what types of verb are your priorities? For me, the ventris was far and away the best and I've tried almost everything under the sun. The big selling point was the true spring engine it has. It's very very realistic for being a pedal. There's also so many different sounds and combinations that I couldn't even go through it all. Source Audios app is great and there are always people uploading custom sounds. I should say that I ended up selling it, along with almost every other pedal I have because I basically only play surf these days and I just make sure the gigs we play there's already a fender amp there so I can only bring my guitar and my standalone reverb tank. Sometimes I'll bring a fuzz. But if I still did a bunch of experimental stuff, I'd have kept it. It also works really well with keyboards.

Excellent video, some killer sounds with these.
Do you like the Para-Trem's Harmonic effect? It seems like a cool pedal, but I'm not sure about how well it does the Harmonic. I'm really enjoying the Subdecay Vagabond I got after watching all your Trem vids.

Thank you! Much like the Deluxe ++, the Harmonic Tremolo isn't super effecty on this pedal. It's more subdued. It sounds absolutely glorious in stereo. It all depends on your tastes. I certainly dig it. But besides just cranking the shift knob all the way to the right, I like the inbetween flavors you get. That to me is where the pedal truely shines.

Have you played through a CE-1?

Not the original. I've played the CE-2w which has a CE-1 mode.

@@TriPedalReviews Do you still have the Mr. Black, if not what did you replace it with? Looking at one online, would you recommend it? ANy volume issues?

@@shckltnebay The chorus pedals I've played over the years that I've liked: Boss CE-2w & DC-2w, Walrus Audio Julia, Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl (Both versions) and the Mr Black Chorus Ensemble. I still have this one, I haven't had volume issues with it.
