Thanks for your honesty as always. After 10 years I find that most reviewers are just advertising, and most games are overrated. Massive purge right now for me. I had 500 board games. I've sold almost 100 of them. What a great weight off my shoulders. I need to get it down under a 100. For now on a new game needs to get played, and decided on my the team (wife and I) to keep or cull. I'm done have game store as a house. Lol!

My kiddos love My Little Scythe & Pie in the Sky. I think there's a definitely an unfilled/only partially filled area for family/kids games with for an audience of gamers looking to get their kids interested
Played the first 3 games of Dawn of Madness with my group and it is, plain and simple, an awesome twisted horror experience. It is hard, sometimes borderline brutal, requiring to make full use of the mitigation systems which offer just the right level of puzzly challenges. If you like twisted horror, the narratives are an outstanding element carrying this game just as much as the gameplay does.
Harrow County is a ton of fun although I have only played through Chapter 1 so far. I funny enough also only just picked up the retail edition myself last weekend.
I backed Skytear Horde as well. I didn't back as much as you did, and I play it solo or 2 player co-op. I have enjoyed it very much so far to this point. Only 5 plays to this point, but I'm enjoying it.
I enjoy playing Lil Scythe with my kiddos. Never knew they released an expansion! Glad you mentioned it!

Skytear horde is fantastic as a solo game. Wouldn’t recommend at any other player count.

One question the all in RPG for Tanares was supposed to come with the classes box?
I have Skytear, and it is great for solo (as background, I have previously played MTG at two previous stages in my life), but I am not sure how good it is for co-op.

Having said that though, Skytear Horde is amazing. It’s like a solo hearthstone game. Not played two or three player though.
Same sentiment on DoM. Got it 2 weeks ago, Opened it up to verify all was in order and then popped it back in the shipping box where it sits in a closet in my garage. The entire 5-year experience left a bitter taste for me, so I’m not even up to try to table it anytime soon.

@@HerVoiceRemains good! It’s definitely worth the purchase. The wait was long, but it was well worth the money imo. It is indeed a complex game though. Lots going on and to track when playing solo with multiple wanderers. I missed a thing or two during set up even that I had to do as I started. Then the first round took me about 45 minutes the first game because I kept reading every part of the rule book like 4x to make sure it did everything right haha plus a lot of story to read. Very rewarding though! Let me know how it goes please! 🙏🏼

Skytear was a huge disappointment with me. Hated the gameplay thought the game components were cheap and not very deluxe.
Play DoM. Yeah it’s been a minute…doesn’t make it any less good of a game. You done need the expansions. Resale for a gang like that isn’t insanely different from “sealed” to “played twice” as 90% of components will still be untouched. Also you could still sell expansion sealed if you know you don’t like it after you played the core. Honestly the core has so much quality content. I’m super pumped for the expansions still but I still recommend this game. Sure it took a while. My attitude is “so what can’t do anything about it now. Enjoy it”
Yeah even though I play various dnd games, the Tanars world is so close to the dnd world that it didn't interest me. Was going to get those maps, however all my dnd games now are over discord and use Foundry digital tabletop to display the maps digitally. Would love to host dnd games in person like I used to, but everyone in my dnd games moved to different states, that doing it digitally now is the best we can do.

I'm in the same boat the Dawn of Madness. I'm really not interested in it anymore but I don't want to get rid of it until I have wave 2. I lost interest in the game when I found it takes 6-10 hours to play per game...that's nuts
Nah. 2-3 hours once you get in the groove. Unless you’re counting the finale as well. I don’t. I think they are both modes if the game that play well together or individually tbh. I’m super indo their writing (so cool) so I enjoy the story and would prefer to play them together but not in one sitting. It’s like alternating between two games/game modes but getting one badass build and cool story!
my dawn of madness just showed up and I don't have ANY desire to open it or play it or anything... if I can sell it I will because this game is not what I backed in Nov 2019... and I have a very sour taste in my mouth of this horrible game... I hope they go out of business because they are not a good company to have around in our hobby... bunch of problems that I wish I never had to deal with... do yourself a favor and get rid of this game before other people find out what a joke it is...

Small company that bit off more than they could easily chew isn’t the same as a horrible company.
They made the game, delivered it, and still haven’t asked for more money.
They took forever because they were trying to produce an awesome project. So far the only bad things Ive heard are from people that have not even tabled it yet.
