I ran into a problem when checking that SKSE would run for the first time, I got asked to download the creation content, like all of it back, but I used the mod Anniversary Edition Content Picker. I wonder if that is normal?
Hey guys, if you're using the 1.6.1170 version of the files, you need to add ALL of the files to your directory file. Not just the DLL and EXE.

They're new version which is the skse64 (1170) and when i move the file into the main one the loader lost its "exe" and won't launch ,dyk why?

The Current SKSE seems not to be working at all 161700 v
Didn’t break anything-mildly annoying-but I’ve moved my initial Gaming file from my desktop to another location on my PC for better organization. Mod Organizer 2 can no longer jumpstart steam from the loader, I have to open Steam up separately through a shortcut I made moments before. Everything still works perfectly, but what do I need to do should MO2 not being able to find the steam.exe app become a problem in the future?
Hey could you explain what you by "the files will merge" when transferring the SKSE files over to the game directory because I have no option to "merge" anything. If you mean that DATA files will need to be replaced and and the other 2 will be place in the folder G.D. then maybe thats why my peepee is in a toaster right now.
1.6.1170 version of skyrim is stable ? did i need to downgrade to some older and stable version ?
1.6.640 for example
When i try to launch it on vortex it gives a promp that it failed to run tool i followed the instructions multiple times and reinstalled the game and it kept giving me the same error.
Ive tried watching every video i can find on how to set it up properly but it still says i need sn updated version when i click the launch button in nexus.

Is it worth nodding Skyrim right now since they just came out with an update? How long does it take for mods to be updated to be used again? Anyone have thoughts on mod packs? Sorry for all the questions super new 😳 great job on the videos I love them! Easy sub and look forward to the next step
its all about the time that u have and if ur willing to follow countless of installation guides for all kind of mods really, you can also revert to older version of skyrim which I recommend. Personally I never had any success with installing modlist via vortex same goes for Fallout 4, so I'd stick to MO2.

Just FYI here, you refer to "previous video" for skse ini file but the previous video in this series doesn't address this. Maybe link to your video that address this in the description for this video in the series?
I don't have a details tab in properties i only have "previous versions" and it's a blank page

I’m glad I could help! You’ve got this! Take it easy at your own pace and before you know it it will come naturally :-) don’t worry about having SE. The only difference is the content picker which you can just skip :-) the rest is the same
the executable for skyrim and launcher is not reading the correct location kinda need help explaining and or choosing the correct section for binary and start in
Supposedly there was an update for GOG and Epic versions but not Steam yet. I heard it may have broken SKSE.
Yeah, the rumours appear to be true in regard to SKSE being broken in STEAM version. I think that's why the patch update doesn't mention STEAM version. But isn't that normal whenever Bethesda update patches for their Games that SKSE gets broken. SKSE devs work extremely hard to update SKSE.
I was finally able to install skse64, now my game wont launch at all. I'm using Vortex, and was able to have that run as primary.
Any help would be appreciated.

i got the normal steam edition, i think its updated to 1.9.32 etcetc, I have all DLC but i dont have a SkyrimSE.exe file :/ its either SkyrimLauncher or TESV ._. i tried renaming those but then SKSE said i had the wrong version...i was using the Anniversary Edition, maybe i need another one? i used SKSE years ago on an old computer, so i know it should work on my version...but i am lost :/
can anyone tell me if redoing all of this will negatively affect or correct my main skyrim save? i dont care for achievemnts or anything but i dont want to do a new run of skyrim on my pc save

What do you do now that they're all 7z notepad files?? I can't launch Skyrim from that. Sorry I'm new to modding
I'd suggest starting this series from the beginning in that case as there's alot of areas that you'll need to be aware of if you're entirely new to modding. Easiest way is to go from the first episode. 7z are 7zip files and require 7zip. This is covered in the series :)

Why on earth would skse launch skyrim too large for my screen? I tried a simple fix by adjusting to 100% in display settings, but that did not solve the issue. When I launch from steam, the resolution is fine.
I found a video that suggested unchecking user profile-specific game ini files. And this actually fixed the issue.
However, I don't know what other problems this could cause down the line.
MO2 -> Tools -> Tool Plugins -> INI Editor -> skyrimprefs.ini -> change Size H&W to Screen Resolution
Edit: Remember to save before closing

wait. It just says SkyrimSE. Not exe?
Edit: I reverified the games files from steam. The exe is still not there, but I can see the details and version now!

SKSE64 launcher is launching a command prompt instead of the game - anyone else? Game 1.6.1170 + SKSE64 AE 2.2.6
Script extender should just be implemented in some way already, I mean the team behind it already talks and works with Bethesda
just tried this method and the game instantly closed on opening it
im using 1.5.97 after using the downgrade patcher
and i downloaded skse for 1.5.97 so it should be working but its just not

Your videos are excellent quality, among the best I have seen. I am new to modding, and have carefully followed instructions, but cannot get GOG Skyrim AE to work. Here's what I have done:
Installed Skyrim AE. Started game to confirm it worked and saved after opening scene
Installed Mod Organizer 2
Installed SKSE for GOG
Installed SkyUI_5_2_SE-12604-5-2SE
Installed unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch using MO2
Installed unofficial Skyrim Creation Club Content Patches using MO2
Rebooted and loaded saved game with launch from MO2
Skyrim started, but my character was frozen in place.
I found a thread which said to replace game_skyrimse.dll with a new file that allows GOG and MO2 to work together.
Downloaded the new file and replaced the old .dll
Now MO2 is frozen with error message: Cannot open instance Skyrim Special Edition - the game plugin doesn’t exist
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

A good question. Depending on how the update has impacted mods it might change so at this point I’m unsure I just have a checklist of what to cover then ill split it up where it feels natural for modders to take a break :-)

Well, it keeps changing XD because of the updates that keep happening I have to recheck the next steps and then rewrite where it feels natural for an episode to end. Which I must admit wasn’t the plan at first but so far I’m managing! So there’ll be a few to come yet aha
If you wanna play real cool game its not enough only skse-you need bunch of mods working with skse, and thanks to bethesda they all are outdated once again

unfortunately bethesda made this video outdated instantly. theres been 2 more updates since this came out. skse hasnt updated for either yet

@@SoulChainGames I mean that instead of the game launching, when I launch SKSE a command prompt window opens then the program crashes.
@toboldlynerd_ no. Itll load to the Bethesda screen then auto close. I've just reverted to current patch and have been playing with whatever mods will work until skse updates
SKSE.... Well SKYRIM shouldn't be installed on "your C drive" Been trying to find where the vid I saved, because of that "Handshake" problem between SKS and SkyR....

Why does this have to be hard why do moding people think everyone is a computer nerd? I don’t have computer skills in the slightest. Why do they have to make it too complex to play anything but the stuff on the creations page? What is a binary path starting path do people really think I even have a clue what that means no.
No matter what I do, what skse version I install, every single time, it doesn’t work. F*** this sh**
