Hey! It's been a few weeks since I last uploaded but no worries! I'm back with a new video on the second chapter in the terrifying Faith horror game series. Enjoy! - Hry

Only way to fight off the forces of darkness is through dank dance moves and spins of the sickest variety.

This is an extremely creepy and well executed horror game, but that *DIOS MIO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE* and the pries proceeding to side-step out of the room is perfect comedy

Nah, not to make this an R/woosh moment but, Michal caught a virus from vitamin d, and i believe the lack of actual care but with a demon is inside him, basically got it from the wiki

I don't know why, but the confessional scene is really good for how simple it is. The idea of some devil telling the player to bring them a sacrifice in one breath, then talk about the mercy of god in the next is so absurd its surreal. Lol
the priest must know that there’s a demon on the other side, but his confessional is so whole-hearted. He’s trying to confess to god himself
Agreed. Like the demon is trying to hold onto the disguise aside from that one simple command.

@@StardustLegend John just wants to talk to someone. He doesn’t really care who. I also like the fact that the demon can’t know if John’s a priest, because it can’t see him through the confessional. So it assumes that he’s a devil worshiper like most of the people it talks to. It’s a really cool plot device. I also love that even after John hears it say, “BRING THE CHILD TO ME” he still goes along with his prayer in the confessional.

For an 8-bit graphics-styled game... it's amazing how it captures such an eerie atmosphere.

Tbh when i was kid all the old games had such creepy atmosphere. Maybe the all over present background in pitch black, the contrast on the others colors in it, the (rightly) absence of censure, and the essential of the sprites and their 2 frames movement and over all, the discordant and rude sounds (the vocal synth on top ^^).
To me all the games from 80's are lots of creepy and crude stuff.
Because of the graphical limitations developers in the old day had to think about every pixel. Nowadays just add more pixels to make it scary. Or add a bunch of other crap.
Truly captures that feeling of playing games on the Atari 2600 at night with all the lights off, when all you can hear is the game and crickets and the only light is the graphics

I love the little animations in this game. They're so well made and fluid. I wish there were more.
Some of them look to be rotoscoped from actual live footage.
If there were more, they wouldn't be as special.

There is, and Airdorf is still very conservative with the rotoscoped animations, which I approve of.
Those are great but it’s still massively creepy with just the intentionally poorly-drawn sprites and backgrounds. And that sound design is...*mwah*

What gets to me about poor Michael is that he is a messed up kid with Rickets and in a degenerative state (to a point that people can't identity him as human), only to get run over after wandering the woods in a decayed/possessed state...
Demons or no, that's just fucked up in general. 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰
The Michael origin at the beginning is the best part of the game.
That, the puzzle with the hand demon and the part at the end with Father Garcia chasing off the nun demon and talking to John are my favorites.

Wow, i really like the boss fight concept in this game. Like the attack patterns, the style, and like minions moving towards slowly so you had to dodge + attack at the same time.

I always get some Lovecraftian vibes from this game. It starts off as a religious horror game but as the game progresses, You get the idea that there’s more than just The Devil at work.
Or maybe im just interpreting the story that way because of the third one.
This was a great playthrough.
Or maybe the Devil IS bad enough to be Lovecraftian. We never see this angle.

Nope. The ending number 5 it is.
Faith 1: Ending no.5 (Canon)
Faith 2: Ending no.1 (Canon)
The rest of the endings except five are bad endings and not canon. In father and son John is killed by Michael after killing father Garcia in the woods. In number 1 he’s arrested by police and presumably imprisoned after shooting Amy. In the sacrifice John is stopped by the red robed cultists, and presumably killed. In the Hunter ending after shooting a deer, well, the deer want revenge so they stop his car and surround him, then kill him and mangle him beyond recognition. So yeah number 5, where John leaves Amy behind and drives away, is the canon one.
