    Great presentation. I have the white sheer Hunter Douglas vertical and horizontal. I love them, but cleaning is very expensive and have to be done professionally if they are white.

    What would u recommend for bay windows? I do like the idea of top bottom blinds or a privacy one. I do want a good amount of light coming thru the windows still but with privacy so not sure which type of blinds would work for that?

    I'm hesitant to get motorized blinds...do you need to charge anything in the blind itself? If so, how often? If you open and close every day how long will it take before charge?

    I m looking to find a cord shade. I find l can’t use furniture / or sun my flowers 🌺 under a motorized shade .ugh.

    I love these blinds. But I love fresh air too. Does the blinds obstruct air flow by any chance if they are pulled down?

      We were advised motor was another hundred so just went for cord.Think Hubby wanted to put blind with Alexa.x

    These shades look great but if you have tilt and turn windows that open in it really limits your options

    How does one clean those blinds that neatly hide in those tubular concealers when not in use?

      Roller shades? It depends on the fabric, but they are usually spot-cleaned. If you have a room darkening fabric with a liner, feel free to be a bit more aggressive than if it were an open weave/light filtering fabric, but remember that it is still fragile fabric.

    Is there such a thing as a shutter with a blockout behind it. We need to have a darkened room to prevent morning light from waking us up.

      I have two blackout blinds in bedrooms with thermal curtains with linings,Room is so dark it’s brilliant. In our old house we had to by blackout blind for living room as sun shone in yet we had verticals.We kept roller up until summer sun.Defo say blackout roller blind work a dream.
      This guy did brilliant presentation but sadly lm in UK or I’d have had him to measure.x

    Got a quote on Hunter Douglas products for our home from a dealer
    Was crazy expensive - wound up going with NORMAN brand from another dealer - way more affordable for our budget $

      Hunter Douglas is by far more expensive than most other companies. I am just glad you didn't get a quote from Conrad, if you thought that Hunter was expensive...

    My plastic dark colored blinds are literally melting after only 8 months! . They sent me new ones but same color which I believe is why they are melting and bending. They will not send me white.
    Is there a spray I can put on them to protect from the sun?

    Glad we are done with those old blinds that you’d have to pull and pull and pull, then they’d pop up and flap around the rod multiple times. Man, I HATED those things.

      @@mrdemocracy7106 But cleaning with Venetian blinds is nite mare.we had red and cream flower blind we only hovered twice in years we had it.now went to new night and day blinds they are ordered.we didn’t think how they will work as want lounge down al time but open and closed at nite.Don’t think it will work way we think.?verticals are good a dust does them or my son takes slats down to wash.l had Venetian when young and dust just seemed to go to them.x

      Verticell Shades, S Curve Slats, Fabric Verticals, and there's even some really exceptional traverse rods with curtains of various styles.

      @@miabussell0229 Verticells are unique to Springs Window Fashions. Vertiglide products are Hunter, but they are essentially the same. You can also go with bypass tracked shutters.

      Heat AND sun would be either a nice basic cellular shade in either a room darkening single cell or a light filtering double cell, or a more extensive room darkening and inner-lined drapery.

    I do NOT like that I am having trouble finding honeycomb shades that are my choice of color on the outside as well as the inside.??? Why are they cheaply making them white on the outside and can I get a quality shade that does NOT have white on the outside. I noticed Levelor used to make them like that but the ones I see now they make them white on the outside

      If you think that ripplefold is bad, ignore 80% of the relaxed and casual styled roman shades in the world... for whatever reason most people think they don't have to dress their unstructured coverings.

    i dont understand why they cant make curtains in lower half and a small valance upper.. lower half blackout and top valance so u can seperate and let sun in.. houses and trailers too close.. inorder ppl cant see in your bedrooms. blackout bottom half ot window but make it so u can seperate the valance and let the sun in... windows can open the top half comes down so screen is open at top half of window to let air in... ITS TIME TO REINVENT THE PRIVACY CURTAIN. plain curtains at shopping retail even fabric shower curtains have patterns. internet no selection for blackout curtain with design on it.. bright flowers or 3d no one wants old lady prints anymore even us old ladys

    I feel closed in looking at these shutters? No character or homely looking at all.
    Simple Venetian blinds with curtains will do fine.

      For their example, agreed. However, a nice bright white with a small louver sizing without the DayNite option is fantastic for keeping rooms bright and clean. Shutters are by no means small, and are really more wall-mounted furniture than window coverings.

      Oh Gosh! I love dressing my windows with draperies. It adds a certain charm to the room. But I can understand no draperies in a contemporary home
