- Finally got my exhaust installed. I ordered this from evasive motorsport only reason is cause they didnt charge me any tax. The video sound does not reflect real sound. The exhaust has a very deep tone quite loud at idle but not bad while driving

Ordered the same pipes on May 19th, 2021 and here we are on August 15th they just landed on my doorstep. Got them straight from Remark called out of work to install them. Gonna use the ole jack and stand method and hope I don't kill myself.
Lol you will be fine. I too was afraid of going under since I used a bunch of wood blocks to set the car on the 6ton jack stands. But it was all good. You will be fine and I hope you like the pipe. If you have any questions leave a comment I can help you if you have any issues.

@@hachiback6018 Installed it. Everything went flawless sounds really good. All the videos of the exhaust on youtube just cant do the sound justice. Gotta hear it in person. Went back to the video once or twice to check orientation of a few things. Thanks for the replies and video!
@@Kittyman9001 that's good news! Glad you are happy with the exhaust you are right the mic can only pick up so much of the sound. In person this exhaust sounds much better. It definitely makes the car drive much more enjoyable.

At the end of the vid you can see you have a gap in the joint at the Y split. Condensation water is running back from the mufflers and dripping out the joint. 4:35
Yeah i realized it after i stopped filming cause it was dripping water on the cardboard and redid the whole thing. its fine now.

Sounds great! I just got mine delivered a few days go but I plan on installing it myself in the spring/summer time to avoid snow/salt damage. Quick questions; Did you use aftermarket plastic hangers or the OEM ones? WOuld it be possible to install this with just and tools, or would I need anything else? Also, since the install have you run into any problems?
Hello Carl. Thanks for your comment. It would be nice to get a exhaust hanger tool. you do not need any electronic tools. I did not use any plastic hangers if you are using a similar bumper set up as mine it probably wont work because those if i am thinking what you are thinking of getting those polyurethane hangers will raise your muffler a tiny bit so it would definitely hit the bumper also those dont last too long they tend to crack. i used the rubber oem hangers. if you need a a list of tools just get a pry bar/long flat head screw driver (if you dont have a hanger tool) wd40/pb blaster for the bolts to the cat and exhaust hangers silicone spray also works on the hangers. you can do 2 14mm wrenches or 1 ratchet with a 14mm socket and one wrench. a wobble extension will help with the cat bolts. and get a friend to help you remove and replace the exhaust portion. also its easier to put the exhaust hanger on the muffler portion of the exhaust remove it from the car otherwise you will end up fighting a lot harder cause its easier to push than to pull when installing. i did the install totally by myself and it took me about 45 minutes so dont sweat it. i havent worked in automotive business for over 10 years so dont sweat it you will be fine. it makes sense when you are under the car if you have any questions when you do your install let me know i can help you out.
one other thing is this video does not do justice to the sound of the exhaust. in person its a very nice deep tone

Hi I just bought a 2021 hatch so I'm planning to buy a remark exhaust just like on your video. I just have one concern did you make any changes to the ECU(settings or config) cuz I heard that some sensor settings might be affected.
As long as you just do the exhaust there is no need for ecu reset. If you do the headers or midpipe you may need to recalibrate the ecu but there is other methods you can do to avoid check engine lights. You can install spacers to redirect the amount of airflow so you can avoid any recalibration. I been driving over 400 miles i have no issues. I just have a blitz drop in filter and exhaust

I know shipping on a lot of products is all backed up. I lost a bunch of parts in the mail. And i am still waiting on a bunch of other things which is causing delays in my videos. I hope it all goes well for you soon
Hey man, really trying to decide whether or not I want to shell out this amount of cash on an exhaust, is it worth it? Do you have any second thoughts or any concerns or is it really good sounding and kind of subtle?
Any opinions or thoughts help! I like the look of it a lot, just not sure how raspy it might be?
I can make a review video for you later in more detail of the exhaust. If you are looking for performance then the answer is no its not worth it at all. I am fixing up my car as a hobby and to share with others but mainly for my liking. I will be totally honest with you after the exhaust upgrade i dont feel much improvement other than sound which is deep not raspy. acceleration is more or less the same but the sound makes the car more entertaining to drive. If you go my route you are looking at setting you back nearly 1K with bumper and exhaust. I will see if i can make a video next week as I am a bit busy this week i will go into more detail for you.
@@hachiback6018 I'm not really worried about performance! Just not sure that I can justify $800 for exhaust. I like the idea of a simple bolt-on so I can change it back myself if I don't like it. BUT It looks so good, especially with the diffuser, just cost so much... If you made another video of some pulls that would be great but not necessary. I had exhaust on my other car, raspy and droned, trying to avoid that with something deep and subtle, unless you stomp on it. Driving a manual with no exhaust isn't as much fun... Thanks!

Not to be that one commenter but what you think of the apexi n1 exhaust like what kinda difference am I really getting for an extra 600 or 700
I can only give you my honest opinion as i dont know anyone who has the exhaust nor mounted a apexi exhaust on this car but the pipe diameter is more or less the same you will pay extra for burnt tips same as with remark and apexi is a better known brand so you probably will be paying a bit more for just the brand. But the apexi’s extra cost will not give you a substantial power gain. And even if you got an extra few more hp that is really not a measurable difference in daily driving nor the track. I guess what it will boil down to is if you prefer one design over the other and if you dont mind paying for that design. And of course the most important thing would be the sound the exhaust makes cause its a sound you will always be having to hear. Personally prior to getting this exhaust i was intending to go the hks route but after the big price spike i decided with remark which i am happy with my decision

The chime is actually my dash cam. I am using a xiaomi 70mai dash cam pro. Its decent but outdated already.
I always get that chime if I turn off the car while the door is open. I have to close the door to get it to go away. Really annoying but not as annoying as the chime when your seatbelt isn’t on. Lol

No such thing as a dumb question. This is the link. They also sell non painted version but I got the painted. I also believe there is a carbon fiber version too.

Was it difficult installing it not having it on a proper lift?
Not difficult because of that it's difficult to do it alone cause the muffler piece is heavy. It would be helpful to have 2 people. Otherwise hang the muffler from one rubber hanger and use your legs to help hold it up while you get the second hanger in

There is many options you can go with a toms original or even cutting the original. They have unpainted and different shapes on the ebay version. They will work best if you can trim around the exhaust outlet area. As the inner pipe towards the license plate will touch the diffuser. But if you dont care like myself you will get some vibrations here and there which doesnt bother me at all.
@@hachiback6018 is there any concern with the pipes heating up the diffuser and causing damage? That would be my only concern. I was thinking of pairing a diffuser like this with the remark exhaust but worried about the fit. My only other option is to cut or remove the diffuser and leave as is.
@@chrislarios2902 I been using this exhaust for almost a year I haven't had any issues with melting the diffuser but I also don't drive more than 40 minutes at 1 time. Currently the weather here is 100f but even then I haven't had any issues with melting. If you don't cut the diffuser you will get in cabin vibrations which isn't too bad but if you are sensitive to vibrations it maybe annoying.

@@chrislarios2902 I was looking at the hks center exhaust set up as I do like hks exhausts. But the cost of shipping it rose so much that I decided on the remark. This exhaust set up will set you back about 1k if you go with the standard exhaust tips.
A high flow cat will make it sound nicer

This exhaust should come in the car stock from Toyota, at least 2 of them instead 4.
Really hate they made fake exhaust and really hate that in Europe we only hace the CVT option. No 6MT option here...
