The thing that makes me scratch my head here is that Tati's screams do not sound as you expect FEMALE metal screams to sound: here I hear all the male overtones. Compare to Floor Jansen in the bridge of Wild Card
      czcams.com/video/El9TeVNTT4M/video.html
Floor is twice her size with a larger larynx and sings comfortably at the bottom of the 3rd octave... Her scream sounds like a female metal singer. Tati is gender bending in a way I don't understand.
Compare also to Dani Terror in the chorus of Reap What You Sow by the Wolfhunterz: excellent metal scream but sounds completely female.

I am so happy you are reacting to Jinjer. Though this live session has a few post production done to it, is still amazing. But you should really listen to some of her songs from concerts, such as:
Perennial (live at waken open air 2019)
On the top (live in Kiev)
Judgment and punishment (live in Melbourne)
Who is gonna be the one (official live video)
Also just imagine a duet between Tatiana from Jinjer and Dimash. How out of this world that would sound.

It's one thing to scream , it's another thing to scream that well.
I could suggest the same three songs that everyone else is suggesting, but I'm not about that redundancy. Instead, I recommend you check out Band-Maid (songs like Anemone [lead guitarist Kanami Tono doesn't usually get a chance to shine on vocals, but her voice- especially in this one- is a hidden gem of the band], Flying High, Blooming, and Rock in Me [which is actually sung by their rhythm guitarist, Miku Kobato], but it really doesn't matter where you start, they'll easily become one of your new favorite bands whichever song you start with).

Great reaction video! My only comment is for you to look at the video one more time and realize that her neck is not strained at all. She is singing those screams in complete relaxation because she’s using her false vocal cords. There is no strain whatsoever, otherwise she would not be able to switch back to a clean vocal like she does. Tatiana is a master of technique and a lot of fun to listen to!

I've been actively looking for female vocalist that can make that type of sound. Haven't found any, not to say I haven't found equally crazy vocals doing amazing stuff. I heard what she sounds in concert and this track isn't that far from reality so I'm thinking it's probably some crazy combination of anatomy from shape of her sinus cavity to the her vocal folds that combined to create this demonic sound. I also found something called Subhormonics which is just as alien sounding.

Hello there! I’m from Russia, so I kind like from the same region (former USSR) as this band is. If you want to lift yourself up to the next level of extreme vocals you might check the song “Demolisher” by Slaughter to Prevail. Not your type of music, but definitely something new to your ears 🤘🏻

To do a metal "growl" without hurting yourself requires a technique called "false vocal chords" aka doing it above your vocal chords (not in or below) so as not to hurt yourself. The fact that she can switch back to clean, switch back and forth, shows she's not harming her voice at all.

Next Jinjer song, if you decide to do more, should be Teacher Teacher or Perennial live at Wacken. They're both great imo.

Judgement (& Punishment) I think could really knock your socks off too cuz of everything going on in that song.

It comes naturally to her... she's ona of a kind. There are people who are born with the X factor. She's one of them.

Tatiana said, she's not pay attention on what people react on her, just stay away from internet.
And, yeah, live Perennial in Wacken - the thing you really have to check out.

i sang metal for years in the late 80s - 2000s never did the low death growl but used the high pitch banshee scream effect to accentuate belting vocals ,never trained and smoked alot of weed, eventually collapsing one lung then the other, till i needed surgery and could no longer do any of it, if i only knew then .... A dont smoke, B learn proper technique, C dont go to practice with a flu/pneumonia

  • @blacktigershearthstoneadve6905

Actual fresh reactions are so rare on CZcams (and this is not one of them). Like seriously... he has a clear cut at 1:57 even before the first growl, but music just continues.

Screaming doesn't take talent, it takes a ritualistic and repeated sacrifice of time and effort to the gods of vocal excellence. Only after this can one one be considered "okay." To become "good" more sacrifices are required.

rim shots, they're called rim shots. (what the drummer was in the peaceful instrumental part) The stick held sideways in contact with the drum head and hits the edge of the shell rim.

@@HofTheStage actually it's one kind of rim shot the other just hitting the skin and rim at the same time for a thwack (also used after the punch line in a comedy act) "a rim shot please"

I think I figured it out. She isn't exhaling, if you look close at her mouth it's the tongue of an inhale. That would make it possible to do both and not 'hurt' the exhale voice.
