I don't go to Church on a regular basis. I sin. I work in my Financial Career wayyyy too much. I cuss too much. I have horrible habits. I'm often consumed by money and success. I watch things that I shouldn't. I don't read the Bible. Then, I heard about "The Chosen". I can't quit watching it! Jesus Christ was a REAL human who laughed, cried, danced, performed REAL and tangible miracles, led and taught people, treated sinners and those less worthy with kindness and compassion. Because of Christ, I'm on a mission to lead a MUCH better life (for a thousand reasons). This series is REALLY helping me on my journey!!! 🙏

Growing up with tv and Hollywood, film entertainment meant a lot to me, and Christians were most often portrayed as crazy, intransigent, and narrow minded often to such an extreme that they were an antagonistic character. I think we now see there are enough Christians to fund true Christian content!!

I always like to liken it to a dinner. The Jews were supposed to receive Jesus but rejected him he set their table and said sit and eat and instead of doing so they stood and criticized the food. The gentiles being much less picky looked at that table and literally snatched off the bread from the top of the table for the first time instead of eating the scraps underneath. I think this is why Jesus used thieves in his analogy's a lot. Its literally what happened to the gift he came to bring and thank God, by that happening the vine was established. Im able as a non jew to become adopted by the kingdom and brought into the vine rather than be cut off with the rest and burned up like chaff.

Someone forgot the story of the Centurion who was a Roman political and military leader. Meaning this man was in charge of specifically subjugating those that tried to follow the Commandments. He was in a position of authority where he had to allow God’s Chosen people to be severely taxed, those who disobeyed were tortured or killed, and when he wasn’t doing that he was living by the standards of Rome and its Gods which promoted some very different morals that were blasphemous to Israel. And yet when this man’s servant was dying he humbled himself to Jesus to ask him to heal his servant and Jesus did. This isn’t to say politicians are all good people there are plenty of bad ones. But to assume we’re not supposed to love others even if they were our enemies or did many bad things is neglectful of the Gospel. Remember we are called to love our neighbor as our selves

Does anyone notice that the actual message that Christ administers toward people seems to cause division amongst them?... Just like a classroom full of students that seem to understand only certain parts of His teachings instead of standing under the principles being taught?!!...

Jesus sent his gospel to the Jews first because they would not believe. Nicodemas and few priests became the first Jews for Christ. What this means is that they were in the habit of actually reading their scriptures for understanding.
Jesus was keeping the word from the Gentiles because we tend to believe him, no quibbling.
The Greeks, the Romans, all of the Gentile races. It should be obvious that Jesus didn't go to the Gentiles, officially, because they would not have unknowingly cooperated with El Shaddai's plan.
Jesus could not have performed his blood atonement sacrifice in front of well-meaning Gentiles.
I'm sure that there were many that would have taken him as his word, and helped in the process.
Why were the Gentiles so easily swayed? Because the gods they were used to could not hear their prayers and/or respond to them. Their gods were just like them but far away.
Any way, that's my take on this.

Remind me again what part of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John describes two disciples going out and preaching the "Banquet parable" and turning the Decapolis upside down? Where again is it and who is it that Jesus talks to about the parables of hidden treasure, pearl, and the net?
Go find them in Matthew 13. Also-there is literally NO STORY of two disciples going out, preaching to "just the Jews" and then Gentile pagans getting involved, ending in some kind of Jesus-conference where the Lord solves the problem. It is pure fantasy and loose story telling. Yet, here we have a preacher/pastor acting as though this is sermon-worthy truth-telling. Hogwash and hokum.
Moreover-what none of you realize is the Essene connection to the sending of the 12 and of the 72. You don't realize the Essene connection with John the Baptist and Jesus' answer to his question from prison. You don't realize the connections between all of these things.
