Where have you been all my Pro Tools life?! Love your videos. Very helpful, but also hilarious.
My favorite is Alt+A (PC) or Option+A (Mac). After zooming in to make quick edits, I don't have to "R" myself to death or mess with the manual zoom. This snaps the entire project to fit from zero reference to the end of the last clip on the timeline. Very useful at the end of mixing down the track or to just see what the session looks like at any given time. I've made a few mistakes with cutting, copying and pasting (from rookie to pro, we all do it) in certain places where I didn't mean to or maybe shifted/nudged clips by mistake. Had I not used this quick shortcut, I would have spent more time than I needed fixing the mistake. #Salute

Appreciate the tips. I'm surprised you don't use a DAW controller, but as efficient as you are with the keyboard/mouse I'm guessing that's why there's no need. It all boils down to efficiency for the person behind the tools.

Wayne i need to know if in pro tools there is a built in tuner tool, like in logic where i started and know everything about it ALMOST, there is a built in tool that is a tuner u either him a note in the mic and it will detect it or as a tuner for guitar, i use it to find the key of the song easily, is there the same tool in PT or do i have to use a plugin lie gtr tuner

It may be your keyboard preferences in the System preferences of your computer.

Hi all I need help. I just got Pro Tools but the first problem I encounter was my sound. When I try to load a template, I'd press spacebar to play, but there's no audio coming out. As in like it's playing, but it's as if the sound has been muted but it isn't. I'm connected to speakers and everything, checekd my audio, still no sound. Bad start already, and it's irritatingly frustrating me. Please help
knovv VREI go to your playback engine and change the buffer size. Varies anywhere from 32 to 2048. I suggest 128. If that doesn't work go to your mix window and check to see if your output is set right

Yes it does! You can find the backups in your Pro Tools Session Folder. It should be enabled by default but you may want to check the Preferences to set it up. DONT RELY ON THIS!! Save yourself!

Yes, although it only updates a save every 4 minutes which can be found in your session back-up folder. However, Its best to always hit command/save after every major move or change you make, and not rely on the session back-up files.
