Yes. My hubby drove long haul for years in the early years. He had such a hard job, but I had my job too...being brave. No tears when he left, and always be too happy to hear from him to complain about missing him. Thank heavens for my own nursing career. Bring busy is all that helps.

I'm a former truck driver(working on going back out as a driver soon, since the kiddos are raised), and my husband is already a truck driver, so this song hits so close to home. All you can do is pray they make it home(usually once a month). Its a hard life for both the driver, and their families, and you never want to get a call that your spouse may be dead. I make my husband call me before he goes to bed every night, and I talk to him every morning, so that we know he's ok, and still alive. Roll on!

I remember when I was a kid, there was a semi truck in the news because a car with a family pulled in front of him really close (which is a bad idea). At the same time, he saw a collision two cars ahead. There was no way he could slow down in time and he knew the whole family would be killed by his truck, so he chose to drive his truck off the top of the overpass and it fell about four stories to the ground below. The news said he survived, and that the investigators agreed that he saved that family's lives. However, they weren't sure if his insurance would cover the truck since he did it deliberately. I never heard whether they ended up paying or not.

I finally got the chance to see Alabama live at a casino back in 2016. It was at the amphitheater outside. While we were waiting in line to get into the show, a thunderstorm started rolling in, and it started raining. The casino came over the loudspeakers and told us to return to the casino until the storm passed. Then we were under a tornado warning while in the casino. When the storm started getting very intense, the casino lost power for a bit until backup generators kicked in. Thankfully, the tornado missed us, and after about an hour and a half, we went back to the amphitheater and enjoyed an awesome show. They were amazing and well worth the wait
